“First time at the Pizza Pushers, ordered takeout. Friendly, attentive staff. Nice clean cozy dining area. Ordered a sausage pizza and a Wild Hog. The pizza was delicious and could tell made with fresh, quality ingredients. For a guy that does Friday night date night every week in my opinion I got lots of good food for the price. I think next time I’ll eat there and enjoy a beer with my pizza.“

“What is wrong with me, I've haven't talked about Sal's? There are many things wrong with me, and that 4000 page book is for another time. The little pizza places are what I always look for. Sal's is a staple. Don't be fooled by it's location and exterior appearance, this workhorse is around the corner of a 7-eleven building. The appearance is small but internally, thanks to the hard workers doing their thing, they produce some great pizza. Their tavern style is classic, thin (but not cracker thin) crust has generous, tangy sauce, and hearty, fresh toppings. I like that the sausage isn't too salty like other places. Don't sleep on their wings, they are meaty and done right. Sal's is 100% pickup or delivery. They have other options for pizza, appetizers, hot sandwiches, pasta, ribs, salad, etc. Dave Portnoy recently put them on an extended map..beyond word of mouth from locals. I never expected him to show up near my neck of the woods, but if he was in search of a "real deal" or "go-to" tavern-style pizza, he made the right decision. Even without One Bite, Sal's was already award-winning. Be sure to use their coupons as they gladly accept them.“

Talk about pizza... the ingredients are fresh and plentiful, cheese just the right texture and amount, crust crispy and satisfying so much so that you can eat 2 (maybe 3 pieces ) and not feel STUFFED! Our 11 month grandbaebae was happily acknowledged by all waitstaff though they were busily weaving thru the tables with their pizza pies and libations. They offered to take a picture of our group of 6 afterwards, as we were celebrating our son's birthday. “Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!“

“I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well.The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. “My favorite pizza place! Tony V's was one of the first pizza places I tried when I moved into the area, and I've continued to go there since. Good prices and some pretty good sides as well. They also have coupons all the time for their pizzas! I haven't personally sat inside to eat, but it would be a good place for small casual gatherings as it's not very spacious inside. They do have a patio as well though! Staff has been friendly when I've visited. Definitely give it a try! I really like their thin crust with pepperoni and onion“

“The pizza’s from Antioch Pizza in Woodstock are great! I have been ordering here since they came to Woodstock and by far they are the best pizza and the best price in town! Other pizza places in town are so over priced. Used to pay $45 for 2 18” pizza’s and not you pay $70. I won’t order for that price. Try their double decker pizza here with your favorite toppings and you will be filled up on 3-5 pieces and have left overs also! BTW the the thin cut green peppers are great! Never had them cut this way before but I love them and the cheese is fresh and tasty! Their Italian beef’s are great too! It has been hard to try other items in the menu because of the pizza’s but I have heard the burgers are great too!“

He would keep up with checking in every so often which was nice to have the owner involved and actually care how it was all going. “Antioch pizza shop has the best pizza around, it’s consistently delicious and I think fairly priced compared to some others. What really prompted me to write a review though was tonight our pizza wasn’t ready on time (had 10 mins to go), I didn’t mind because these things happen. I’ve tried just about every other pizza spot in Crystal Lake and none of them have even a contender spot in the race against Pinemoor. I ordered a Chicken Ceasar salad, a small BLT pizza & an Italian Beef with giardiniera with a side of adjustable. Well my coworker told me she only received 1 small Ceasar dressing for the salad (2 or 3 for the salad would have it nicely covered), Italian Beef was a fully disappointment. I would NEVER recommend that at all. The menu for the Italian Beef is NOT true at all. The menu says "NOW WITH MORE MEAT", well I received more giardiniera then meat. When I called she told me that it was 6ozs. of meat that all beefs get. I can tell you as a former line cook that packaged Italian Beef that what I received was NOT 6ozs since I packaged 7ozs of Italian Beef. I DO NOT recommend the Italian Beef at all. I was excited to get the be since all I heard was good things but when I received it and looked at the sandwich it was giardiniera with very little Italian Beef and I received 2 large containers of auju. I was really DISAPPOINTED on the sandwich and the answer that they gave me. If your menu says "NOW WITH MORE MEAT" 6ozs is not enough. It was a GIARDINIERA sandwich with Italian beef... Is it some type of specialty type of chicken wing from the hidden fields of Zeria? Even after eating there and Googling the word, it remains a chicken wing folk lore mystery..On to the food! This was just a quick pop in for a snack, and we ordered the Beer Nuggets and a basket of 10 wings with the hottest and not so hottest sauces. Both were good quality and tasty as well.Speaking from experience, since I often make my own wings for the family, including having bowls of different sauces as I take orders from the kids and flip the wings to coat them for ech of their orders, these wings had the crispiness I desire and the sauces to add the zing to my taste buds.The Beer Nuggets were unexpected in how puffy and tasty they were. I make my own breads, of which I have been experimenting with doughs for many years. It is hard to pinpoint what the dough was. It was like the puffiness of a Hawaiin Roll and the softness of a pizza dough. The flavor was on point, not as much as beer flavor, but buttery with little colorful herbs on the exterior. I think the name would indicate they go well with a beer.To sum it all up, I would go back and expound upon the menu options to see how the other food compares to what we already tried. “Went to visit my mother who stays and Woodstock IL and was going to another place and I saw Papa Murphy's Pizza and it was worth the stop. I have issues with my stomach and they offer gluten free crust and dairy free cheese if you need it. They also offer regular pizza and have kid friendly options too. They are not to expensive either which is a plus and would be great for any occasion. FYI the pizzas are take and bake but the fun part is you get to watch them make them.
