“Smooth, creamy, with a bit of crunch and so decadent and healthy. Who said you can't have the best of two worlds?? It's definitely on the pricey side but it's in a popular part of Chicago so that's to be expected. I stopped by here after many runs I did during the 100 degrees weather weeks.. and the delicious smoothies were worth every sip! They can customize them to your liking if you want to swap out certain ingredients. Service was super friendly and recognized my sweaty face after my second visit which made me laugh. I especially loved the maca protein smoothie. Take my money.“

“The name is slightly misleading, as they are not open outside of hosting events.Saw a local artist there and was very impressed with the venue. Very atmospheric and with a pretty good sound system. They have good lighting and smoke effects as well.The venue does do a lot of shows and poetry and art stuff. So check their calendar to see what they offerOnly complaint is that the refreshments are pretty overpriced. However, they got you and what else are you going to do? The tea was actually very good however. “When in need of a pick me up this is the place to go. Starbucks always hits, I switch up my order but always mindful of calories. There’s about 3 go to drinks, lately the oatmilk shaken espresso is my go to. I also do mobile order which makes it so convenient especially when you want to do a complicated order and don’t want to have to say it at the drive thru window. If the line is long I just run inside and my order is on the counter waiting for me. If you have tried their pastries and breakfast food, you must!“

“I am posting this review to say that the person working the drive thru all morning January 12 2024 is the most polite and nicest employee I have ever met I have came to pick up several DoorDash orders and every time I come by he always has a smile and nice things to say he deserves an award or a raise or both! It is employees like him that make customers want to come back. Keep up the great work!“

“This is a 7-Eleven/ gas station. The facility is clean, well stocked, and friendly. If you need something quick or while you are getting fuel, go here. The clerk was knowledgeable and helpful. The only reason I did not give a 5-star review is due to advertisment signage not being displayed properly, and the outside area could have been better maintained. I would definitely return. Keep up the great work.“

“Ordered an iced chai latte with hash browns. Appreciated how crispy the hash brown were as well as with a little burnt(ness). The chai wasn't too crazy, could use more chai flavoring, it was just a whole lot of cinnamon milk. Service was fast though and they seem to have changed the outside.“

“What a gem. I had this restaurant on my list for a while and only managed to go there now.The food was amazing: fresh, to the point, nicely seasoned. We had a combo platter plus goat and all dishes were distinctly different.The server (who I assume was the owner) was very welcoming.My new happy place ☺️“

“I love supporting local businesses, and being a local to DP it was a must. We visit here on a weekly basis and have tried all the flavors. Oreo being my sons favorite, and the tropicals mine for sure ?Sometimes there is a gentleman that works with the owner is a heavy cigarette ? smoker “ smelled like Joe ? “Didn’t care much for the smell on him , but super friendly.“

“My wife and I stopped in yesterday to get her some treats for her birthday. We were greeted as we walked in and made to feel welcome. The desserts all looked incredible, and the owner (I believe) explained each item that he had so we knew our way around. I can't explain how nice he was! We ended up getting three desserts, but I was tempted to give 5 stars before even eating them because of how sweet and helpful he was. We ate them all last night though- incredible. I really loved the almond financier, but all were delicious. Definitely try this place!“

“Today (Sunday, 1/29), was my 3rd time here! Great visit! I ordered the Ultimate Ace Milk Tea; it was really good —loved its honey flavor and smooth milkiness! The previous times i came here—Saturday 1/21 and Sunday, 1/22---were both great, too! On Saturday, I had the Dragonball Tea; on Sunday, the Grapefruit Lychee Jelly Tea--I'd definitely order both again! I haven't been to a tea house in about 6 or 7 years when I used to make the schlep to Highland Park to Billy Corgan's tea house, Madame Zuzu's! Umbrella Tea House is, so far, the absolute best I've ever been to (closer to home, not as pricey, better ambience, younger/more interesting clientele)! The tea selection is huge and interesting, the ambience is hip and surreal (loved the beautiful, trippy, lit up enchanted forest decor inside, plus the small comfy couch seating in the back, along with all the anime figures on the counter...So very COOL!!! The employees who work here are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! Last, the clientele here is young, diverse and very cool without any pretension--I hung out for 2 hours each visit, loving my awesomely flavorful, relaxing tea and digging the surreal, chilled out vibe of the place and the atom collider of Millennial/Gen Z-ers who flooded the place after I came in each time! You could people watch all day! The first time I came in, a young dude with a long denim dress came in! Today, 4 Pakistani dudes with long black beards in traditional gown-like outfits came in! It was all too cool to see such diversity in 1 spot each time! Definitely coming back a few million more times!!“
