They were so friendly when stopping to talk to customers. The coffee is amazing but they also have breakfast/lunch sandwiches! “You will be part of the family here! Everyone is welcome and the owner will go out of her way to make you feel like her family the moment you walk in the door. By far the best gelato I have ever had! The owner Antonella could not have been more welcoming. I observed her interacting with children and she made them feel so special. The hand crafted affogato was out of the world. The shop is so cute and welcoming, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a delicious treat. We will be back soon! AMAZING!!! “I dined today when the drive through was very full. I made my order at the self service kiosk and got my order number tent 44 and proceeded to wait for my food. I waited around 30 minutes for my large quarter pounder meal. I asked Daniel when i would recieve my order. He informed me there was an issue with my order showing up. I checked my banking app and verified I was charged for the meal. Daniel assisted me and brought my order soon after. In the midst of a lunch rush and technical problems Daniel was professional and curtious. He turned a negative experience into a positive one.“

“My wife and I stopped in yesterday to get her some treats for her birthday. We were greeted as we walked in and made to feel welcome. The desserts all looked incredible, and the owner (I believe) explained each item that he had so we knew our way around. I can't explain how nice he was! We ended up getting three desserts, but I was tempted to give 5 stars before even eating them because of how sweet and helpful he was. We ate them all last night though- incredible. I really loved the almond financier, but all were delicious. Definitely try this place!“
“Today (Sunday, 1/29), was my 3rd time here! Great visit! I ordered the Ultimate Ace Milk Tea; it was really good —loved its honey flavor and smooth milkiness! The previous times i came here—Saturday 1/21 and Sunday, 1/22---were both great, too! On Saturday, I had the Dragonball Tea; on Sunday, the Grapefruit Lychee Jelly Tea--I'd definitely order both again! I haven't been to a tea house in about 6 or 7 years when I used to make the schlep to Highland Park to Billy Corgan's tea house, Madame Zuzu's! Umbrella Tea House is, so far, the absolute best I've ever been to (closer to home, not as pricey, better ambience, younger/more interesting clientele)! The tea selection is huge and interesting, the ambience is hip and surreal (loved the beautiful, trippy, lit up enchanted forest decor inside, plus the small comfy couch seating in the back, along with all the anime figures on the counter...So very COOL!!! The employees who work here are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! Last, the clientele here is young, diverse and very cool without any pretension--I hung out for 2 hours each visit, loving my awesomely flavorful, relaxing tea and digging the surreal, chilled out vibe of the place and the atom collider of Millennial/Gen Z-ers who flooded the place after I came in each time! You could people watch all day! The first time I came in, a young dude with a long denim dress came in! Today, 4 Pakistani dudes with long black beards in traditional gown-like outfits came in! It was all too cool to see such diversity in 1 spot each time! Definitely coming back a few million more times!!“
“I am sharing this review on behalf of my mom who experienced the best service, tastiest hamburgers and freshly baked Lemon Blueberry Scones. She and her friends play cards every Saturday, most times after playing they go out for dinner; they have tried the location in Itasca for breakfast before cards, but they wanted to check them out afterwards for a burger. They called ahead to see what time they were closing; the person who answered said they were getting ready to close but offered to stay open to make some burgers for them, they placed their order ahead of time so not to keep the staff stay open any longer, when they arrived the burgers were coming off the grill. She commented how the burger was just the right size (she is not a fan of thick burgers), her friend asks if they had any Lemon Blueberry Scones available; they did not but had some scones prepared for baking in the morning and decided to bake off some for them as well. My mom purchased three! I believe the one who serviced them was one of the partners, she invited them to come play large enough to seat the teams and decks of cards nicely. Service like this goes way above and beyond the norm these days, she said she was going to tell her friends about this experience and are plan on meeting there for breakfast before playing cards next week. In this day and time, it is nice to see others care for our seniors with care and respect. It will go a long way... So, if you have never tried Joe Donut in Itasca for their cake donuts, or breakfast or even the hamburgers for lunch - this reviewer would recommend you do so... you will not be disappointed; especially when it comes to their service.
