Very good, but I think the beets (fewer perhaps) should’ve been chopped into smaller pieces with more strawberries and greenery. Very filling. I had the roasted eggplant for my entree. Wonderfully seasoned, served over a bed of white rice. I would definitely get it again. My desert choice was the blueberry cheesecake. Scrumptious! The staff was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back. Nice outdoor patio area as well. Thumbs up!”

The prices are sometimes a little bit higher than you might find online, but when you buy in person, you're getting out of the house and you can make a day of it and you're supporting a much-needed small business in Bloomington!”

“Dunkin Donuts in Bloomington Indiana sucks! They don't understand English. They will give you the wrong donuts. They sell stale donuts. When you get the wrong donuts through the drive thru and get home to find they screwed up your order they are rude and ill-mannered about fixing THEIR mistake. They actually want you to drive back their mistake so they can resale the donuts to another unsuspecting customer. You don't know where their donuts have been since they break the law by reselling these donuts people return to them. They don't have a sign at the drive thru, saying what kinds of donuts they have, So you have to describe them. Since they don't speak proper English they guess at what you are ordering. I don't know how they got powdered sugar from me saying chocolate icing. When you call them you can expect the run around and rudeness. Trust me when I say there are better gas station and grocery store donuts in Bloomington and from now on that is where I will get my donuts.”

The parking lot here can be a little congested and difficult but my food is always fresh and as long as that manager is working it's fast pace and food is warm and delivery is quick.”

“You won't find more authentic chinese in the entire state of IN, maybe entire midwest. Go there and bring a Mandarin speaking friend w you to order the food! Otherwise you're just ordering American style Chinese food. They take personal orders from an unspoken menu if ordered from in Mandarin. That is where you get the legit amazing food.
Service is non-existent to off-putting but you just need to ignore that here and know about going in.”

“Korea Restaurant has a pretty predictable but large menu of gimbap, various soups, bulgogi, bibimbap, hotpot, KFC, teriyaki, and more, with some Japanese-style dishes in addition to the Korean. This restaurant, like the others on this street, is in a converted house, and the environment is comfortable and unpretentious. They had K-pop music videos playing on a TV in the dining room. There was an older man and a woman serving together; the woman was very sweet, the man came off as quite serious.
I ordered the tofu hot stone bibimbap which also came with an assortment of banchan. None of the food really stood out to me but it was all pretty good. I definitely would've liked more tofu in the bibimbap, but I did appreciate that it seemed to be lightly pan-fried rather than deep-fried. With hot sauce added, the bowl was very flavourful but not too salty. The vegetables were all cooked well and the fried egg also had nice crispy edges. The portion was filling, especially with the banchan. The bibimbap came out literally seconds after the banchan, so I was a little worried it would get cold before I had the chance to eat the banchan, but the stone bowl kept it nice and hot until the last bite.
I would say this is an okay place for vegetarians/vegans since they do have a number of entrees that I believe should be vegetarian or vegan (more if you remove the egg), but they don't label which dishes are vegetarian, so you might have to ask questions about hidden meat/seafood ingredients if you're not familiar with Korean food. If you are vegetarian, let them know when you order, because even though the bibimbap I ordered was vegetarian, some of the banchan (fishcakes and likely the kimchi) contained seafood.
The overall experience was positive but not outstanding in terms of the food or atmosphere, so while I might return if I'm craving Korean, I want to try other Korean places in the neighbourhood first to see what else is out there.”

“I love this place and have been eating their food for almost two decades now. It was my first introduction to Chinese food. While classified as Chinese American, it is still great food. It has lots of options with some occasional differences between lunch and dinner. They are quick to refill the buffet as well. Service with waiters can be a bit hit or miss but for the most part it is a very solid place to eat. Drink is included in the price. They also do carryout.”

“We knew from our first meal at Scenic View that it would be a favorite. Our family of four went on a summer Saturday at around 11am and, while there were definitely plenty of people there, we were surprised that it wasn't busier. We sat inside but could have happily eaten outdoors and may do that next time we visit. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you are in any sort of a hurry as the food did take quite a while to come out of the kitchen, but it was absolutely worth the wait.

We ordered generously, including the way better than expected fried pickles and very good spinach and artichoke dip. Both came out super hot and very fresh and were way better than what we get at most places around Bloomington. My mother ordered a crock of the French onion soup and was surprised to receive such a large portion of great quality soup. All of our entrees were prepared perfectly and just much better than we expected, including breakfast, sandwiches, and burgers. Two of us are vegetarians, and we loved having multiple menu options to pick from rather than the usual one menu item (or the classic salad and fries combo).

This restaurant could easily coast on average food due to its great location, but instead they really seem to take pride in putting out a great meal. It wasn't a cheap meal, but every dish was generously portioned, freshly prepared, and really worth the price. We'll be happy to be repeat customers.”

“I ordered a Ruben and when it arrived the toast was black and burnt. I never complain so I said nothing and tried to eat the sandwich but the toast was very hard. After trying to eat it I just gave up not wanted to be a bad customer and make my two adult friends uncomfortable. I just paid the bill $70.+and gave the server Emily a $20. tip. My friend ordered one of her usuals but the sauce was not what she normally gets. We were told that the cooks sometimes use whatever is available and finally just sent out a replacement with NO sauce. She finally just gave up and ate whatever she ordered. The third friend her husband avoided the situation. We finally gave up and I paid the bill with my Sky Miles AMEX card total $90.+ We came into the restaurant probably around 7:30 or 8pm. Sorry for the bother but it bothered me I've lived here since 1972.”
