“I have had a lot of items on their menu. Their Benedict’s are amazing and they are known for their scrambles as well. You really can’t go wrong with anything here as it depends on your mood and taste. Their sandwiches and salads are great too! And if you haven’t tried a LEFSE, you are missing out! I always have my go to eggs and bacon comfort plate, and let me just say, you will never leave hungry.“
“Talk about quick service and meal time. I love this place for so many reasons, but when you're feeling like a big breakfast, and need it quick... unmatched. Coffee is always hot, food is always great. People are friendly and the sun shines throughout the place. It's always a great experience for me.“
“Great vibe, family oriented, was greeted immediately, had a couple of gals ask if I'd like something to drink as soon as I sat down. I got the classic bacon n eggs, w/hash browns, sourdough toast tasted homemade! Bacon was thick & crispy.... Since I couldn't make up my mind I also got their classic French toast to go for dinner! “It's like I don't want to leave a review because I want this place to be my little secret, but also this place is amazing and I want them to be SO successful that they open 10k locations. Almost everything is made from scratch - The ketchup, the hot sauce, the creamer, etc. I've only been there twice - The first time I ordered the breakfast burrito and the second time I got an omelet. They have the BEST hashbrowns in town and for the price I could eat here every day without going completely broke. Don't let the location or strip mall deceive you - This cafe is one of the best in town! Scratch that....it IS the best cafe in town! Go here, eat well, leave happy :)“
“When you think of diner - think of this place! Generous portions of anything you order. We were a party of four during Sunday brunch and only had a 15 minute wait for a table. Xavier was very happy with his steak and eggs, the croissant breakfast sandwich and the bagel sandwich were made with fresh ingredients hot off the grill. The corned beef hash was well balanced and not too salty. Everything was so delicious!“
“Overall, great food. With generous portions ratio to price. First time, and I will definitely return. My only complaint would be that the potato pancakes are just circular hashbrowns. I was expecting traditional potato cakes, made with mashed potatoes, then fried.“

“This place is a real gem. Located inside an old filling station, it's far more roomy than you'd expect and the menu has some perfectly executed staples as well as some inventive and creative surprises. It's far less pricey than some of the boujier places, but just as good. Also, mimosas.“

“On my friend's first ever visit to a Lincoln Square we had a mid-morning breakfast together, served by the lovely Trinity. I had the Country Lady platter and she ordered Huevos Ranchero. We took two orders of fried cinnamon biscuits with apple butter to go for men folk at home. Trinity brought us each our own pot of coffee (one was decaf) and loaded us up with our favorite creamer. She appeared just when we needed her...like magic. She was a joy to meet, well-trained, efficient with a great sense of humor. I had not visited since Covid started...every single bite was as delicious as I recalled.“
“We've been loyal to this First Watch for a couple of years. The food is always great, as are most of the staff. However, today we came in at about 2:15 and were told to order quickly because the kitchen closes at 2:30. That is the time posted for the restaurant to close. I have never been rushed to order at a restaurant because closing time is when the doors close and they stop letting diners in, not when the staff stop working. It's hard for me to recommend against going here, but that is bad business.“
“Well.. let's start from the beginning wanted to go to Cracker Barrel but it's gone but then went to Denny's and let me tell you Denny's is not a good spot up there on Michigan. I'm not sure what address that is but it sucks we went in it was just three of us. It was not busy and the cashier, I'm sorry she was cashing someone out and someone else w her... standing there with her. She goes to the kitchen to complain about how she's been there since 530 and now it's like maybe 9 o'clock and how she wasn't gonna help anybody blah blah blah so we left and we ended up at Chef D's breakfast small quaint love it. The menu is very plentiful. We went for breakfast, but I wanted some of everything that was on there. It was my birthday the day before and we needed to get some food: my friends had to back home to Chicago and we came up with this place. Love it will go BACK!“

We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order, only after we went to the hostess stand to let them know we hadn’t been waited on. Then when we did get a server, it was really hard to flag them down to get help. Again, we will be back. The food was great and everyone was friendly. The service was just disorganized.“
“One of my favorite go to breakfast spots! Always friendly atmosphere, home style food selections. Extensive menu and they let you have it YOUR way. You want a dinner meat with your breakfast... order it! My usual is liver and onions with eggs and hashbrowns. Before you go judging, eat what you like...lol!Sometimes I stop in while doing runs and almost forget I'm still in Indianapolis. It feels like that little mom and pop restaurant in the country where everyone greets you and makes sure your good. It's a great feeling on a regular day when I don't want to cook. Also Brittany is the best (but I'm yet to have a bad server).“
“Received some best customer service here because from the door to my exit I was well taken care of. I ordered the AllStar Breakfast and wasn't disappointed. 8.5. The waffle was fluffy, and buttery plus cheese eggs, bacon, grits with raisins toast (apple butter) spread. All hitting. The people were very welcoming making sure I was good throughout my visit...minus the hiccup with the register at the end (no fault to them) it was a notch service. Overall my next trip down I will definitely tap in and grab a bite in 8.8.“
“Cute little spot. I had a Saturday brunch reservation and had no issues with being seated promptly or the service while here. I tried the gateau pancake which was very good but a little too sweet even for someone with a big sweet tooth. The lemon curd and fruit together though is delightful. I would definitely go back to try other menu items.“
“Came to visit IN for a couple days and I am very happy I found this cute spot. As soon as I came in I knew it was going to be a 5 star experience. I had the surfer girl omlet, with the potato casserole recomended by my lovely waitress and a blueberry muffin. I was also delighted with their freshly swueezed orange juice. “My friends and I had the pleasure of meeting at Gallery Pastry Shop for a lovely brunch outing. The service was great, and I loved the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Our waitresses did a fantastic job of checking in with us. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and the dish was delightful. The serving size was plentiful enough for one to enjoy and take home for later. The shrimp was drenched in a lemon mint butter, leaving you craving more. I will note that there were a few items on the menu unavailable, but that did not stop the overall experience. I plan to return in the future.“
“A few years ago in 2015 my family and I were on the verge of homelessness staying at the now closed motel 6 down the road. I was 15 at the time and scrounged up what I thought was enough money to pay for mine and my sister's meals but when I went to pick them up I was a little over a dollar short. I felt terrible and embarrassed so I was going to run back to our room to see if I could find the money I needed but whoever was working offered to cover the rest of our meal for me. It's been years since then and I'm not sure if she still works there but I want to let her know that I still think about the kind act she did for my sister and I that day. “Love this place! We came in on a Saturday morning for brunch and the staff was so friendly. They have a good variety in the menu and everyone got something different so we could sample. We didn't get a single thing we didn't like. Prices are very affordable and the atmosphere is awesome. Love the jukebox!“

The older lady at the registration is always teaching me a new word in Spanish every time I visit this place. The service is not bad, I don't have to keep asking for water. I only gave it 4 stars because the gluten-free pancakes aren't as good as they were last year. The quality has changed, and they don't look appealing at all. They actually look undone with a weird aftertaste. I wouldn't get the GF pancakes for those of you who are going for this purpose. The server came by frequently to refill their coffee, but never got a refill of my ice tea. Coleslaw is different than other place.“

“Visiting Indy and staying close by, we walked over on a Sunday morning. It was buzzing but not where we had to wait for a table. Our food was delicious. Ordered was the king cake and the Rambler with no cheese. The kitchen messed up the king cake and because of it, it was remade and was given a discount. That's how it's done! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and made the experience pleasant. Would visit here again.“
“WOW!! We have passed by this place several times and always said we should try it out. I'm so sorry we waited so long. We were impressed from the second we walked through the door. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Wine racks on several walls, some murals of Indiana sports teams. Very comfortable. Service was quick and very friendly. Menu had tons of variety. When food came out it was hot, delicious and a lot of it! We will definitely be returning!! 10 out of 10!!“
“What a fun experience! The food was great and fast and hot and the service was impressive! But the highlight of the entire experience was the guy at the grill. I wish I would’ve gotten his name but he welcomed everybody that walked in and wished everyone a great day when we left. It seemed he was having the best day ever just cooking everybody’s food and has great pride in the fact that he could keep on top of everything as people were throwing orders his way and he didn’t miss a step not even one. Before we were done he actually turned around and ask is how everything was and then he told us that he loves his job and I told him that was obvious because it was a lot of fun to go. I wasn’t sure we wanted to go to waffle house for breakfast but I’m sure glad that we did“
“Great place for breakfast or lunch. I got the steak salad and it was amazing. I added gyro meat and extra avocado. The quality was excellent as was the service. I really liked their coffee as well. Our server and the owner Gina went out of their way to make our visit pleasant. Gina is so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her. I can't wait to return. We almost went to Cafe Patachu. I am so glad we chose this over that. There were way more options. I am doing a keto diet and I found plenty of options. My husband loved the french toast. He said the bacon and potatoes were hot and crispy. The eggs were hot and fluffy. It's really hard to find quality food with good service. This place is it! To top it all off the ambiance was very unique and special. We loved the Hawaiian theme and tasteful unique decor. Please come support this lovely locally owned business.“
