“The aesthetics in this place are beautiful. My pictures don't compare to seeing them in person. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the food but you're not missing too much. Not everyone enjoyed their food. 2/5 of us liked it the other 3 thought it was meh. Nothing big to talk about but yet again the ambiance was nice. It was spacious and the music ? ? was a good beat. I probably won't go back but if I did it would be for an event or girls gathering not voluntarily.“

“30-35 & OLDER LOUNGE!! Very lively and fun!!! Remember to call or ask about the certain events for each day of the week (they do have a certain dress code on certain days). GO EARLY!!!! The earlier the better because it can get crowded in the lounge. Food can also be bought here too while having a drink. I enjoy myself here everytime, so this is a nice place to try❤️“

“My co-workers and I stopped by this establishment today for lunch. Walked in to some really nice decor! Very clean also! Lunch time menu doesn't have a lot of options but the choice were definitely good ones! I went with the chicken tips! When I tell you this was the best bbq I've ever tasted! The chicken was seasoned so good! Some places put all the flavor into the sauce and forget to season the meat but not the Woodlawn! I was truly impressed! Cashier was very polite and food came out hot and in a timely fashion! There's also an amazing smoothie shop inside!“

The owner is very warm and welcoming, all of the food is made from scratch and with LOVE! Come and see for yourself! I had the vegetarian chili and the first bite was instant nostalgia! It brought back memories of coming home on a cold, rainy autumn day to a comforting bowl of homemade chili and board games with my family. Yes, it was THAT GOOD! Beyond the amazing chili, I also ordered the fried plantain and hands down it was the best that I have ever had from any restaurant in my life! The combination of the crispiness of the plantain and the crunchiness of the cashews drizzled with honey was phenomenal and bursting with flavor! My taste buds were so happy! It's a small joint, with room for a handful of people to eat there. A number of hotdog offerings on the menu. We went traditional Chicago style (minus the sport peppers for me). Soft drinks in cans or bottles available. Reasonably priced.“
“Fun spot to hang out. From other reviews, I expected popcorn as a free pre-appetizer and a waiter to educate us on the different drink selections and conversation cards on the table. None of that happened or was available. It was very loud and busy. It's not my idea of an ideal spot for a romantic date night, but it's definitely suitable for a first date. “I like this restaurant, my favorite neighborhood place for breakfast in Chicago. Like going to moms house. They used to have all booths since covid they changed to tables, which took away some of the welcoming feelings. But I like it just the same. Great breakfast home fries and biscuit.“

“This place has been around for a while it's a really great neighborhood bar and they have delicious food here always good service. Plus they have bingo once a week in the back and that's a good time to give away a little prizes and stuff like I said it's just a really cool neighborhood bar no trouble here or anything you can bring a date here you can bring your mom here for a drink if you wanted to and still feel good about it.“
