“Family friendly place. They make their own handcrafted pizza and cook it in a brick oven with a variety of in-house brewed beer. They also have games for the family to play together and things for kids to do such as coloring and drawing. First time here and I would definitely come back again great place to have a nice meal and family fun. It is located just north of the boot Hill Museum, and right near the boot Hill distillery.”

“Stopped by Gallo Grande today with a friend for a late lunch. First time visiting and we weren't sure what to order. Our server (Oswaldo) did an OUTSTANDING job. He suggested a couple dishes and within minutes they were at the table. I highly recommend Gallo Grande and if you are able to request Oswaldo (think that was his name) do so!!”

“We were in town for one evening and decided to stop in to check it out. Everything was amazing! The whiskey is some of the best we have had, the cocktails are made spot on. They had live music on a well decorated patio as well as a Mexican food truck. Our bartender Stephanie recommended the wings. We thought she was crazy because Mexican and wings don’t go together. Well, we gave them a try and they were amazing. On the larger side, perfect fried and several flavors to choose from. If you are passing through town, definitely stop by and ask for Stephanie and try an Old Fashioned!”

“I decided to try this place today and the food was absolutely amazing. It’s one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The flavor was exquisite. I had the seafood delight, ordered a side of fried rice, then ordered one egg roll and one fried spring roll. Both rolls were good but I will say I think the spring rolls are what I preferred. I will most definitely come back again my next trip through Dodge.”

I'm a truck driver and had to hurry out of my truck because the techs were putting it in the shop to start working on it. The point is that I came to the hotel without food. I hardly ever go out to eat because of affordability; I've had a lot of bad luck in trucking lately and for my weight and health.
To the point....I honestly don't typically choose PJs for pizza, but this didn't disappoint. My driver had a smile, my order was very hot and made perfectly. To the driver, my dog isn't mean, just protective and always hungry, LOL!
Idk. It was just great and well worth it, and it made my crappy day end better! 😊 Thank you, folks! I drive for National Beef, so I'm sure I'll be back in town!”

The food at Playa & Dorada is absolutely incredible. I started with the ceviche, and it was fresh, flavorful, and bursting with the right balance of citrus and spice. For the main course, I had the grilled shrimp tacos, and they were out of this world. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, paired with a delicious tangy sauce and fresh toppings that elevated every bite. The Mexican street corn (elote) was also a standout—creamy, smoky, and topped with just the right amount of cheese and chili powder.

The service was exceptional. Our server was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. The timing of the food was spot on, and we felt well taken care of throughout the entire meal.

“Had a fun time at Osaki in Hays for lunch! Nice big restaurant with ambient lighting and a very fresh menu. We have the chicken teriyaki bento and the hibachi chicken lunch with soup on the side. This was my first time having a bento presentation and it was super fun and enjoyable with fresh ginger and wasabi paste. I also tried yum yum sauce for the first time. It was a nice sweet flavor. I also tried the strawberry soda which was very good. Our server was very nice and attentive and we will definitely go again! They have an ample parking as well.”

So we pull up and wait forever and when they finally come with our food they have forgotten one entire meal. From the moment we walked in, the charming, old-west vibe of the place made it feel like a step back in time, yet the service and food were anything but outdated. The food at Dodge House is outstanding. I started with the fried chicken, and it was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside—truly one of the best I’ve ever had. For the main course, I ordered the prime rib, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sides, like the mashed potatoes and creamed corn, were equally delicious and served in generous portions.

One thing that really stood out was their homemade pies. I couldn’t resist trying the apple pie, and it was divine—sweet, perfectly spiced, and served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal.

The service was impeccable. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. The timing of the meal was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
