“I have always wanted to try Sierra Grill, as I've heard great things about this restaurant, and finally made my way to their new location. It was bustling on a weeknight which was awesome to see. We didn't have a reservation so we sat at the bar. The bartender was delightful and he had great recommendations for food and drinks. Everything we had was delicious. I especially loved the Scallop Ceviche. This is a beautiful restaurant with a lively ambiance. I will absolutely be back.“
“I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. The kitchen was super clean. Thus place is well oiled machine. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Matt. Very nice gentleman super kind, and respectful. So if your in the area go check them out.“
“This was my first time at the Lenexa location and it had a great ambiance with the industrial ceilings and contemporary decoration interior decoration. We came in on a Wednesday around 5pm for an early birthday dinner. The bar are was full and the dining area started filling up throughout the dinner. As soon as we sat down, our waitress was attentive and kind to explain the menu and daily specials. The highlight of the dinner for me was the in house honey mustard! We really enjoyed the grand burger and were satisfied with the prices for most of the menu items. I think this is a great spot to meet up for lunch with friends or happy hour!“
“Such an amazing dining experience! From the views to the hospitality to the yummy dishes, phenomenal! Perfect lunch dining alFresco with friend. Looking forward to trying the Sunday brunch. Don’t miss this great dining experience in Lenexa, KS“
“I love Brewbaker's atmosphere and Happy Hour. The vibe is casual with good service, just enough attention without hovering. The food is always great and the prices are comparable to other local eateries. Will return over and over again.“
“We set a reservation with The Blue Moose two days in advance for a party of 30 composed of my daughter's soccer team and parental entourage. Marla and the staff took great care of us with prompt service and delicious food. The Blue Moose is a great choice for any group coming over from the Garmin Soccer Complex. Five stars all the way, and thanks again for the great meal.“
“First time there. Great food, excellent service, nice patio seating. Madeline S. at the Olathe, Kansas location was kind, helpful, adorable and friendly. As female patrons, she made my friend and I feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks Maddie!!!“
“March 2024Following a show at Aztec, it made perfect sense to return here with my wife and parents. They never disappoint. Lovely atmosphere, always very friendly staff, and beautiful food. I enjoyed the lobster bisque but was especially blown away by the lobster pasta. Wandering Vine’s chef is truly creative and I greatly admire her colorful original plating.June 2023My parents enjoyed Wandering Vine so much that we were all excited to go back when they were in town over the weekend. Funny enough, we ate at the same table where we sat last time. This place certainly has a unique charm to it, with a nice atmosphere that you won't quite find anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and our service was wonderful. I had the braised lamb shoulder pasta. It was cooked to perfection and the flavors were fantastic. The toasted pine nuts were a nice touch. The only thing I would have changed is substituting the edamame for something else. It added nice color, but it was a little too much crunch for my taste. My wife had the special, which was goat cheese cavatelli pasta with crab meat. Absolutely delicious. My dad enjoyed the filet mignon and we all enjoyed our wine flights--one of my favorite things about this restaurant. Mine included wines from Argentina, France, and Washington. We didn't save room for dessert, but we did get a taste of the gazpacho, which was very flavorful with a nice kick to it. They are rotating their menu in a few weeks, so definitely reason to return.Feb. 2023Had dinner here with my wife and parents and we LOVED it. Sometimes it can be hard to find a place that satisfies both of my parents but we all thought the food was delicious and original. The staff was extremely friendly and professional as well. The place itself is quite unique too and I would recommend it for a nice romantic dinner. We can't wait to go back.“
“After trying this place recently I have been back mutliple times. Nearly every menu item I tried was outstanding. It's hard to find their menu online, as their website apparently has virus or malware issues, and they are not particularly active with updates on social media. Everyone with whom I have interacted, including the owner, has been warm, inviting and appreciative of guests. I have always enjoyed my experiences. As someone who loves great cocktails, I did have a mixed experience. This is admittedly my own pet peeve, but I am not fan of cutesy drink names. I like an Old Fashioned to just be called that. It was a great drink though. The "Nanhattan" was also delicious, though I would maintain that it too was an Old Fashioned, as banana liqueur is more a replacement of simple syrup than of sweet vermouth. The "Dark Side of the Moon" cocktail on the other hand was a huge miss, being sickeningly sweet. I also noticed they charge $32 for a 1 oz pour of Blanton's bourbon (which I have seen priced from $18 to $30 for a 2 oz pour at other restaurants around the metro). Hopefully over time they will fill out the bar shelves, which are currently very sparse, with more options. The food presentation has been inconsistent. The first time I tried a short rib (no longer available) it was absolutely perfect. The next time I had it, the crispy herb leaf was missing. It's a small detail but it was such a fun, tasty addition the first time. Similarly, the aloo chaat, which is even described on the menu as featuring smashed fingerling potato, was absolutely delicious the first times I had it, but on a later visit the potatoes were served unsmahsed. This completely altered the texture and was not at all enjoyable. My wife was a bit bummed out by the very sad-faced leopard behind the bar. Despite my commenting on some negatives, I actually love this place and suggest that everyone give it multiple visits.“
“The other BK as we call it. Love it. We had brunch this morning and it was wonderful. Our server Paul was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Been here for dinner several times and it's always great. Will definitely be back for brunch! Sorry I forgot to take photos of our food at restaurant. I'm posting what's left of my delicious breakfast sandwich. Husband had an omelette.Btw be careful what ketchup you choose. They have 3 different flavors.“
“I wish I could give this place 6 stars. They deserve it. Me and the wife tried the one down in Dallas and loved it so when we found out there was one closer. We wanted to try it too, and today was the day. They was extremely flexible with our reservation (originally made for 730, they us change it to 6.)The server was great, friendly and professional and made awesome suggestions. The manager came out to let us know that one of the meals was over done, so it was going to be a few more minutes, and offered us free salads or soups. My wife had the lamb, which we both would recommend 100% I had the filet this time which was equally good. I had the Asparagus soup, which reminded me of a richer broccoli and cheese soup. We also had the Ahi Tartare, normally not my thing, but wanted to try something different, it didn't disappoint, if you like Ahi, I'd recommend.“
“Visited last night with some friends… and oh my god everything was DIVINE. The fresh bread, the mussels in broth, the spinach salad, the most amazing roasted carrot and turnip soup, and of course the classic chicken and vegetable pot pie. This is going to be a weekly staple for us for sure! Love the rotating menu, and cozy atmosphere. And the staff…. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“
“A local favorite, always fresh, always delicious, small friendly vibes, incredible cocktails, what more can I say? Breakfast and lunch are bubbly and full of incredible options for all dietary restrictions. Vegan turmeric tofu scramble is both vegan and gluten free. Dinner vibes are moody with lots of candlelight. House made pasta and gnocchi, to die for, crab cakes and chicken livers are always raved about. Local beers and spirits, including NA options, served by knowledgable and friendly bartenders. For nearly twenty years Room 39 has served delightful experiences.“
“Food was so delicious, as was my beverage. Service was fantastic. We were so hungry that we neglected to take photos. Would highly recommend this place. A bit pricey, but also not terrible. One negative was it was cold and I was freezing.“
“Always a joy to spend an evening here. Outstanding food and attentive service. Tonight we were seated at the counter facing the kitchen and got a close look at the actions and insights from the chef and staff members. We cannot recommend this place enough.“
“I had a great time at Blade & Timber in Leawood. It was my first time trying axe throwing and I was pleasantly surprised by how fun and easy it was. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they taught me the basics and gave me some tips to improve my throws. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. They also had a full bar and a nice selection of snacks to enjoy while throwing axes. The only downside was that it seemed a little overpriced for the experience. I paid $35, which felt a bit steep for something that didn't require much equipment or skill. I think it would be more reasonable to charge $15 or $20 per hour, or offer some discounts or deals for groups or repeat customers. Overall, I had a fun at Blade & Timber and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and exciting activity.“
“We’ve been here six or seven times now. This place is amazing the service, the food, the atmosphere, all amazing! We come here every Saturday for lunch now because we crave it by the weekend!! Their prime rib in the evening is outstanding! The Barada salad is to die for! And our waitress, Taylor, is the best in the business!!“
“Really enjoyed hanging out here watching the KU game as well as listening to the Irish band play. That was a really cool experience to hear the Irish band! Food and service were both good. The corned beef hash was good but needed a bit more flavoring. An over easy egg would help but mine was over cooked. The shepherds pie was also good but still needed a bit more flavoring. Will be back to try more items!“
“Matthew took great care of watching out for food allergies and offering suggestions on meals. The Edame Guacamole dip on gluten-free pita bread a grwat starter. Steak salad was tasty and rare just right with meat on the tough side which was surprising as it looked perfect. The pot roast dip sandwich was very good. A great date night was had. Thank you.Vegetarian options: Several choices we'll marked and your server will be happy to point you to good options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten, pork, almonds, mango, dairy and chocolate. Still plenty to choose from or options to make a dish safe for you.Parking: Street parking full and was able to park in free parking garage right next door. Plenty of lighting and felt safe.“
“The food is great! They change the drinks, and mocktails are delicious! Great for a lite bite or full meal. The only thing I would change is that they currently only have 1 vegetarian meal. It'd be nice to have 2 or 3 to pick from. But there are several salads and appetizers that work.“
“The service is absolutely outstanding. if you can, order some tots! the staff was super friendly and great with recommendations from the moment we went in the door. coming in was an impulsive decision and now we will be there every time we visit the barber across the street“
“I really enjoyed this restaurant. Their staff was very nice and accommodating to my family and had great portions for the price!Kid-friendliness: I would say they are accommodating to kids but the establishment gives me the feeling of more adult oriented.“
“It’s hip, it’s still fairly new, it’s got a cool vibe going with the interior design and atmosphere.Chic hangout spot if you plan your visit and get reservations. And man, they are serious about the reservations and making you wait downstairs before you can be escorted up at the time or after the time of your reservation! Do not stray!Love the lounge seating areas and great views of the plaza.Drinks are pricey and the food is very limited here imo. I have not been inspired by anything I’ve ordered yet and I’ve tried at least 6-10 items. Probably the best for what is was, sushi. It’s cool to take visitors here for a pre-dinner out stop but I do not see this as an everyday or frequent hangout spot.People watching here though is a treat.“
“RUN, do not walk, to this establishment. Let me tell you something... If you come to KC and don't eat here, you are doing yourself an INJUSTICE!!! I thought the Smash Burger was the best thing I had ever put in my mouth and then I tried the S'mores and TRANSCENDED from my body. Moody country rustic vibe beautifully and successfully done. The service was personable and not overdone and every cocktail tasted like it was hand rafted specifically for me. I will fly back here for this restaurant alone. This place looks like something you would see on Instagram and be like, "I'm visiting that city just to go there."Parking: Several spots immediately next to and around the building.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get into the restaurant.“
“This place is, like the late great Rick Patterson said, KC's Cheers bar! All the staff is friendly & helpful & attentive. The variety of food my party of 7 ordered was tasty. Cozy atmosphere, yet still room to dance in front of a sizable stage. I've seen musicians in groups of 8 down to solo. Plenty of on street parking. Nice place to be for visiting and enjoying the music scene.“
“Ate here for the first time last night, And it did not disappoint!!! Awesome idea for a date night- good vibes, friendly service and delicious drinks! If I had caught our bartenders’ name last night, I would certainly recommend getting a drink from him!! Hit the spot!“
“Everything was amazing from the service to each course. It just kept getting better and better it was so good we decided to go back the next day for lunch. The restaurant was clean and beautiful as well as every member of their staff. The food was out of this world! I can wait to come back.“
“Atmosphere is 10/10. You can hear yourself think but it’s busy enough that the “vibe” is there. Didn’t have the greatest experience with my first plate but the waitress was incredible that she offered to replace my entire meal with another one. AMAZING staff and atmosphere. And GREAT gnocchi pork shoulder dish.“
“We had never been to this Johnnys location and wanted to try it. Our server was a bit annoying. I'm in my upper 60's and this young kid kept referring to me as "boss". I ordered a burger and asked for lots of jalapeños to be added. When my burger came, i had no jalapeño and our server was chatting with buddies. This johnnys is better than 95th and Antioch but not as good as the one on 119th off Metcalf.“
“Amazing place loved it me and my wife got to experience the igloo and the inside dining and wow every dish was fantastic great presentation and so delicious great selection of beverages and our server I believe was Kelsey helped us out and made sure our night was amazing highly recommend you visit at least once if you are near the views alone is a must“
“My "adopted" dad has been coming here for years, and I bring him whenever I'm in town. This place reminds me of Cheers, because whenever we walk in, he is greeted by a number of people (staff and patrons) who know him, and they treat him like a celebrity. The food is great, and the service is excellent. The only improvement I would suggest is for more parking, but the only way to accomplish that would be to build up.“
“I visites for the first time earlier this week and had a great time. I popped in for a quick post work snack and had a cup of gumbo, which was fantastic and the Berry Mule. Excellent drinks, excellent service, excellent quick bites. Not too stuffy, easy to access, great atmosphere. You’d love it!“
“It’s hard to believe there’s negative reviews, our experience was so good! We just tried Ocean Prime and it was all around excellent! We eat out a LOT but live at the south end of Overland Park so we don’t frequent the Plaza often, but wanted to try something new for our anniversary. Our waiter, Ryan, and his sweet assistant, were very attentive and the food arrived well timed. I ordered the Blackened Snapper and it was incredibly delicious!! My husband ordered the Sea Bass and loved it. We both said we would 100% order those meals again. We also had wedge salads which were served super cold and were yummy. For dessert we were so nicely treated to a towering carrot cake with pineapple sauce which was very tasty! As we were dining, we were trying to think of other places we’ve eaten with equal level of service/food and it reminded of us the Goldrush Steakhouse at Madonna Inn. We will definitely return and thank you for such a great establishment!“
“Best service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Our waiter not only explained everything and answered questions extremely well but kept us from spending money we didn’t need to spend by checking before delivering something we had pre-ordered earlier in the evening. They graciously kept the restaurant open late so we could finish our meal at our pace - never felt rushed but did feel bad. Our waiter assured us he was happy to stay late. Fantastic all-around experience.“
“This place is the perfect storm of nice steakhouse food and decor mixed with good music and a lively atmosphere. The waitstaff was laid back, friendly, and extremely sociable. I ended up here by reccomendation and it has now become a destination for me whenever I'm in the area. I wish I had taken more pics but I was too wrapped up in the moment, enjoying the experience to do so. Pictured is the black and blue ribeye with the green beans subbed out for rice. Not (fully) pictured is the plate of asparagus that also came with it.“
“The food, drinks and service are always outstanding. The last two times we've dined here the noise level is so high that we can barely talk to one another. I'm sure it has to do with the proximity of the tables and some voices just being more pervasive than others. It's concerning and will inform our decision going forward.“
“We were taken to a table upon arrival, but after noticing several empty booths, we asked to be seated at one. We were told they were all spoken for. The entire time we were several of the booths remained empty. Disappointing. The food, as usual, was great and our server was very nice.“
“I can't believe I hadn't ever been to Story before this! We had a pretty early rez (5pm Sunday) so arrived with the place to ourselves, but by 7pm it was packed. And rightfully so.The pear goat cheese salad and duck empanadas were fantastic. Dishes where you can taste every individual unique flavor (and the candied nuts are crushed small so they don't just take over everything).I ordered the lobster and shiitake tagliatelle as my entree and I would have licked the plate if it would have seemed appropriate. All 3 plates were so delicately done and absolutely delicious.I really liked Brian's entree too: beef short rib is apparently a staple on their menu and I can see why. The meat is perfection from the sauce to the tenderness. The gnocchi were a little tighter than I expected (more like spaetzle) but the perfect bite was a little of the crispy onion ring, a little of the flake-apart beef, and a mini gnocchi. We got fries to start and demolished them, though they were just a tiny bit over salted. The aioli is the key.I liked the lemon cake but LOVED the carrot cake with mascarpone buttercream and crunchy salty bits on top.Pair with good cocktails and a great wine list and we were happy diners.“
“We had our wedding and celebration at The Summit Grill in Lee’s Summit last night. WOW!!! I cannot give this place and their employees enough kudos. Shana, the event coordinator was exceptional and very responsive. The food was so good….everyone raved about how much they loved it. We did an appetizer buffet and chose a veggie tray, spin dip, chicken wings, chicken sliders, cheeseburger sliders and steak street tacos. The two dedicated bartenders we had were the very best! We had the back bar and outdoor area with a fire pit. It was above and beyond what we expected. I give this place the highest recommendation for any event. Also, their happy hour can’t be beat! Thank you Summit Grill for making our wedding celebration phenomenal!“
“Very cute place and excellent food!Starter: bone marrowMain course: pork chop and hanger steakPork chop was the BEST pork chop I’ve ever hadSteak came with aioli fries, steak was good but the fries were fantasticWould recommend and would definitely come again!“
“I've been here a few times and it's always enjoyable. They had a pretty impressive live musician playing. The wait staff despite being very busy were still very friendly and attentive. The menu is fairly small but the quality is excellent for every dish I've tried. The cocktails are unique and delicious. If you're looking for a fun dining experience, I recommend dropping by Murphy's Corner.“
