“First time here. I started to eat my sandwich and said damn I forgot to take a picture. Probably the best barbecue sandwich I've had. I don't even remember what I had lol. Service was on point. Had a networking event with some colleagues and enjoyed the service and atmosphere.“
“I’ve had Gus’s at one other location before and was happy. This location keeps right up and served up delicious chicken, beans, and Mac and cheese. I also really love the fried okra here. The waitress was accommodating for my elderly grandfather who doesn’t move well and sat us near the entrance. My drink never got below half full. Loved it so much I bought a tshirt. Hopefully I can come back sometime soon with my whole family. This was way better than Joe’s bbq next door.“
“First time here and was surprised on the flavor. I had the chefs special that came with a rainbow roll, shrimp killer roll and chimichang. Chimichang was not for me but had good was not horrible. The Daikin roll was good and tasted fresh. Yellow tail hand roll is a must get. Red dragon flavor was a hit as well. My wife had the chicken katsu and the breading was light and delicious. The pork gyoza is a must get for a starter . So when we are back up I. The KC area this is a must come back to.“
“I picked up the Easter meal and I was prepared for a wait. I was pleasantly surprised when someone came to my vehicle shortly after arriving in a curbside spot. Both of the people that waited on me were very friendly and I barely had to wait for my food and I know they were busy since it was Easter. The food was delicious and hot too. Great job!“
“We tried Lulas today based on reccomendations and I have to say this place is phenomenal. Everything was delicious but the highlights were the green beans & ham as well as the biscuits. I'm not typically a biscuit person and I could eat these every day.They source as much of their food locally as possible which I love.We tried the fried chicken and fried spare ribs. 10/10 we will be back.“
“First visit yesterday and to start the hostess, light skin woman with long black braids was not friendly at all. Didn’t direct us where to go, no friendly greeting. Just a bad attitude but with another table she seemed to be a tad bit more friendly. Wasn’t the best way to start. Waiter was great and food was delicious which made a better experience. Just need to get that hostess some manners and better customer service skills.“
“we came in with a reservation, first time here and loved it! my bf absolutely loved the gravy they offer and our group had to get the dessert platter that offers one of each of there desserts/sweets. as a big brunch girly i very much approve!!“
“The green salad was brought to us 10 minutes "after we had started eating the entree, this was unusual, collards green was fine seasoning but way too salty to enjoy so took home and rinsed with purified water then ate tasty they were indeed, red beans rice was good seasoned but too salty, French fries was a bit mush undercooked (as the cooks prolly rushing I know bcz I've been a line cook) and too salty, frie catfish was good though one or two pieces a bit undercooked mushy instead of krunchy as cooks prolly in a rush to fill orders so I just take home in oven to crisp up, no problem, and fried oysters were very awesome , great dip sauce, servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, presentations of the various food items by altogether 4 different servers was indeed theatrical and admirable, wonder ful atmosphere to dine, great artwork all over.“

“I came in on a Thursday afternoon I first realized they have a good selection of home sauces more then I expected. I had a hard time choosing between the 6 wing meal and the chicken and waffles but I went with the 6 wing meal and I got the Korean BBQ sauce on the wings and buffalo dipping sauce. The food came out in like 4 minutes (food is cooked to order). When I say this I mean it, the Korean BBQ is the best Korean BBQ sauce I've had from a fast food place and I'm surprised they had it. the skin on the wings was a little tough but that's just a preference thing, the sauce was so tangy, sweet, and spicy I loved it. The only thing I didn't like was the fries, the texture and crunchiness of them was good but there was barely any seasoning on them and they tasted plain I was expecting more flavor when I saw them dusted in whatever they put on their fries.I am definitely coming back to try the chicken and waffles and other sauces“
