“2024 Update: Still a popular restaurant in Middletown. The entire staff are so nice & friendly & the food is yummy!!!Coals Artisan Pizza in Middletown is a favorite. The pizza are cooked in "coal-fired oven", which makes a uniquely lighter tasting crust. There are lots of great choices & many different toppings offered. The pizzas are regionally named for Louisville Metro area neighborhoods. Our favorite pizzas include the "Middletown, Crescent Hill & Brownsboro pizzas". There is a nice dining room, outdoor patio and a party room which can be reserved which has a large TV that accommodates up to 40 people. There is a nice wine list and excellent local draft beers choices as well.Highly recommend & as always the staff do a great job.“

“There are many Indian restaurants in Louisville, and Shalimar IS THE standard. The richness of their food can not compare to anyone else's. The Tikka Masala is the best I have had by far. Shalimar is one of the first Indian restaurants in Louisville, and they still stand proud. Don't pass an opportunity to check them out.“

“As someone with only a slight grasp of Spanish AND slightly hard of hearing in noisy places, I recommend this place. The staff I encountered spoke English, so don't let a language barrier stop you from trying them. The Cuban sandwiches and yuca frites are the best in town. The portions are generous. The desserts are gorgeous! Prices are reasonable. It's hard to see from Fern Valley Road, so don't miss it! It's hidden behind the used car lot at the southern corner of Fern Valley and Shepherdsville Road.“

“We always feel at home at Karems. The servers work hard to make sure everyone is treated like family. Every menu item we have tried has been delicious! We particularly love the Boss Burger and the walnut mandarin salad with chicken. Sunday brunch is also a favorite! “This is one of the easiest reviews I will ever need to write. My friends from out of town wanted to go for Indian food. I have been to MANY of Louisville's best. I looked for the BEST of the Best and found Kathmandu rated the highest at the time of this review. Why not try a place I haven't been yet and write a review. We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday night. It was a quaint place, clean and very comfortable with the inviting, colorful lights, yet not too bright. As soon as I stepped in the door, my senses started dancing. Besides being a small restaurant, the kitchen was close by. My wife and I and our friends from out of town found a booth and anticipated some good food, trusting the reviews to be valid. Ujina, was our server and host. She was very delightful and couldn't have done a better job making our visit rewarding. Ujina took our beverage order. We all asked for water. Ujina replied, with ice, or no ice? I like that. This is going to be a very detailed experience. She then took our food order which when I took my turn, added a couple appetizers, namely Onion Pakora's and Fried Mo Mo's. They were brought out first with some tasty sauces. We all enjoyed them very much. Our entrees arrived soon after the appetizers. I ordered Chicken Karahi, which is one of the BEST dishes I ever had ANY where. The chicken was quality chunks of goodness, the flavor unmatched and sauce thick enough to sop my garlic Naan in. We ALL ordered garlic Naan. Both couples ate one order and had another order left to take home along with left over entrees that came with basmati rice. My wife ordered Chicken Curry like she usually does and said this one was different than any other and Better. Our friends ordered Goat Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala which they were thrilled with. Another couple came in shortly after we arrived and sat on the opposite side of the restaurant. Other than that it was quiet. When we were ready to leave, I paid the bill, got a Military discount and spoke with the Owner/Chef, Purna. I can tell he cares about what he does and wants everything to be the BEST it can be. Kathmandu lives up to the highest reviews and IS the BEST Indian food in Louisville. The ambiance is very nice and the service is second to none. We never needed to look for Ujina for anything. She was there before we ever asked, filling our cups. I can't say enough about the texture and taste of the food. My entrée could only have been better with some MORE sauce, which I told Purna. He said next time ask for some more when ordered. The sauce is liquid gold. The veggies were perfect and the chicken was premium. I can't wait to go back and try something other offerings.“

“Was picking up some ingredients and decided to grab lunch. 4 stars solely because the chicken parm sandwich was not their best creation. It's a warm sandwich and the flavors just were not there for me. It got a little soggy and I think my picky eater gene just turned on. I think I'll stick with cold sandwiches from them. I did finally get to try their focaccia, and OH MY GOODNESS. Why did no one tell me that I would sell my soul for a piece of garlic-y bread?? Their garlic focaccia has got to be the best one. It does have large chunks of cooked garlic in it, so if you are not a garlic girl I would maybe try the plainer ones. Also picked up some cannolis-- I'm not sure how frozen cannolis manage to stay so crispy and crunchy but they do. I seriously love this place, whether I'm picking up individual ingredients or grabbing lunch, it's such an amazing spot to go to.“

“Sooo good. This was our first visit and rarely do I eat out and immediately want to leave a review. I had the vegetarian fajitas nachos and it was perfect. I usually want sour cream but this was perfect without it. The veggies, beans and cheese were evenly distributed, fresh snd flavorful. My husband ordered the stuffed poblano peppers with chicken, rice and refried black beans. He was impressed as well and the black beans may be the best refried beans I've ever had. We will definitely be back. Give this place a try- it is fantastic!“

The slaw had to be old it had a sour outdated taste. I had diarrhea a few minutes after getting home. I'm not sure if I will ever be back to this location. Use to be one of my favorites. My waitress was very nice though.Parking: Be careful parking in Walgreens parking lot. They have tow away signs now . Also restricted on street parking loading zones 1 hour limit. A real pain !“

“We booked a table for Mother's Day brunch. The menu was tasty, the service could have been a bit snappier and the atmosphere felt tired. When the bill came, it included a surcharge of approximately 3%. When I asked about it, I was told it was a credit card processing fee. For six people and required gratuity of 20%, my bill was close to $400, feels tacky for the owners to be charging a credit card processing fee. For what was an otherwise pleasant experience, it left a bad taste in my mouth.“

“I was looking for a non chain pizza place and I stumbled upon a recommendation for pizzaville and let me tell you when I saw a chili cheese dog pizza I was sold and had to try this asap. Absolutely one of the best executed non traditional pizzas I've ever had! Loved every single morsel. I will be back just as soon as possible to try all the other great looking pies on the menu as well as a few other offerings they serve. “Stopped here on my road trip to Texas, and I’m so glad that I did. Decided I needed a break and didn’t want to do fast food again. I got the Pollo San Luis. It was so good. The food quality is really outstanding yes thank you. Their chips and salsa they serve with some kinda of tangy dip. It so good. The service is outstanding. This place is very close to the exit. Due to crowds at other restaurants, we found ourselves in the Long Horn parking lot with no wait time. I expected the average steakhouse experience but I was wrong! Wow, this was the BEST food I have ever eaten at a Long Horn restaurant. Our table had sirloins, lamb, chicken dishes. The lamb was absolutely tasty and tender on the bone and the mashed potatoes and spinach sides paired perfectly. Our meal did not disappoint.“
