“We found out about this place via Somebody feed Phil and we had saved it in our to go to sandwich places. The sandwiches were really good, I think the bread was the highlight, so soft and buttery. I had a Fried Bologna and my husband and Collard Green, which was definitely a win with its minty/yoghurty flavour and incredible cheese. The service was averageVegetarian options: Tasty options for vegetarians - no compromise on flavour If you don’t eat meat (I had the meaty one and I wish had tried the veggie one)“

“Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.“

“We had a great birthday celebration dinner tonight. Food was great with several options but not too many. Mile high pie for Dessert was amazing. Service was top notch but not over the top. Atmosphere was comfortable and friendly. Business casual attire was a nice touch! Will definitely be back!!“
“We toured their little distillery today, however do not be fooled by the size of this place. It has a rich history and some incredible infused rum. Our tour hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. A place to visit and experience, I recommend the Bananas Foster rum!“

“Until we arrived in New Orleans we didn’t know what ruby slipper was. And as soon as we arrived, we found out that this place is a brunch institution! The queueing system (if you do on Google) is slightly confusing, and more so for foreigners who don’t receive US texts. So I recommend going there early, queue to put your name down and stick around by the door and ask them periodically if your table is ready.. the atmosphere was buzzing and super cozy. It’s that kind of a place where you wanna go after a big day of drinking and still have a big hangover but want a good boozy brunch! The Bloody Mary is a must - has really good kick and the garnish of pickled green beans are yum!We went for the French toast with fried chicken and strawberries - yes it sounds strange, but gosh it worked so well! It’s sweet savoury and crunch all in one. Also the portion was massive. We also went for the biscuits Benedicts special with three different toppings. I love these options and they are fun to try though the biscuits felt a little soggy. There are lots of choices for everyone and I definitely recommend this place as a must try.“

“I do not have the words to do this place justice. The interior is lovely and very fitting for the French Quarter but the patio is the best! The food is so delicious that I would be happy to eat every meal there. The attentiveness of the staff was incredible - they know their menu (bar and kitchen) and make great suggestions based on what you like not what they are trying to "move".“

“We had the most amazing dining experience we've had in awhile. Our server was attentive without hovering. We ordered the gulf fish (Drum) for my son and we did the Chef's choice. Everything came out with perfection. Our drinks were never empty and no courses overlapped. Needless to say we left full and blown away by the whole team at Plates.“

“Trendy spot recommended by a friend (cocktail connoisseur). The place wasn't busy when I got there so I picked a seat on the back patio. Cocktail menu is awesome... ordered a Banana Manhattan based on a rec from the staff (wanted something unique). Loved it! Not too sweet, just a hint of banana. The food was OK. I've had better Cubans and better fries, but still good. Giving it 4 stars overall... 5 based on cocktails, but 3/3.5 based on food.“

“Incredible experience at Bar Marilou! Highly recommend. The ambience was great, the drinks spectacular but Hunter made the evening. Great personality and recommendations. We tried a variety of drinks and all were delicious, balanced and refreshing. If you're looking for a great experience, find this bar and ask for Hunter!“

“We were in New Orleans celebrating a friend's milestone birthday and decided to try an Indian restaurant for dinner. We picked Saffron based on yelp reviews. The entire dinner was an amazing experience - right from the cocktails to the appetitzers and then the entrees and dessert, each dish was bursting with flavor and authenticity. We had ordered the fish which came with a dollop of curd rice and pickle! We loved it so much that we asked if they could send us seconds of the curd rice. I would like to throw and big shout out to our amazing waiter Landon who always had a smile on his face and was spot on with his recommendations. The highlight of the day was the chef who graciously came out and checked in on each table. You can see his passion reflected in each of the dishes served today. It has been an amazing experience. If you are in NOLA or visiting, do check out this gem of a restaurant.“

“I have been sending people to Bar Tonique for close to a year from my position as liquor vault manager at the Sazerac House. So many return to tell me what a great experience they had & to thank me for recommending it. I have left the position at Sazerac House & won't be sending any more from there, Good luck to all the craftsmen & women behind this truly wonderful place!“

“On our first night in New Orleans we found this cute restaurant/bar place. We arrived quite late on a Saturday (nearly 10pm) but we were seated quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. The atmosphere is quite electric and very lively, and staff were attentive and friendly. We sat at the chef’s table so we could see the kitchen staff cooking which was also an added bonus. It’s also lgbtq friendly too and I loved that ? now the food, the buttermilk ceviche was on point, good tanginess and sweet and savoury. We didn’t enjoy the gumbo as it tasted a bit burnt. Tartar felt lacking a bit of seasoning but the concept of the dish was nice. The highlight of the dinner was the blackened fish and steak - they were both cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth. The potatoes side on the steak is buttery, crunchy and comforting and you want another five of them. This is a great local gem.P.S. we didn’t know there was a burlesque dancer on the night we went. We didn’t particularly feel comfortable so we left then so worth to check if any show is on.“

“Fancy. Fresh oysters from as far as Washington to nearby. Pacific NW are generally the saltiest and my favorite. Priced at a pretty penny though. Great wines by the glass and friendly staff. No reservation, no snobbery. They'll get you in when they can.“
“Live Jazz, chill mood and amazing cocktails. The bartender made me a French 75 with cognac and I was impressed with his skill. I watched him make two technically difficult cocktails at the same time and he really knew what he was doing. Will recommend again.“
“We had a great experience with Emily. She was very knowledgeable in making our drinks and in explaining the whole process of making spirits in the distillery. The drinks were delightful . We had a lot of fun with her and we would highly recommend this distillery.“

“Above all, you MUST order the seared scallops and artichoke appetizer. Fan-freaking-tactic! The Black Manhattan is excellent — except is was stirred long enough so it was nearly lukewarm when brought to the table. Great flavor, but disappointed at how warm it was. (An extra point for Luxardo cherries. Seriously. How can a restaurant claim they serve cocktails if they don’t use Luxardo cherries????)“

“I don’t take my 11 month old out to eat often but they made it soo easy for us. They were quick in getting his food to us and even though I offered, they wouldn’t let us clean up after him. The buser even came over to interact with our kiddo. It was a really nice experience and made taking him out very enjoyable.“

“Gorgeous quiet (on a week day) little indoor/outdoor courtyard. I loved ordering at my table via an app and paying as I do. Food delivered easily. We did have to go to the bar to get our drinks though. Not a problem. We each had tacos - excellent! Spicy beef strips. Two small ones plus a side salad (also delicious) and it was plenty for me for dinner. When traveling I actually like it when plates are normal sized instead of huge and wasted.“

“My husband and I came down from Boston for a long weekend in New Orleans and this is definitely worth a stop! We had a tour of the distillery with Alyson and she was very knowledgeable, funny and witty. We tore a lot of distilleries and wineries and breweries, and they had an excellent and very high-quality selection of bourbon available. They also offered some unique vodkas. You can't really go wrong here at all. After our tour, we ordered some drinks at the bar while we were purchasing some bottles to take home, and the bartender made some excellent recommendations of signature cocktails on their menu. Very good experience and highly recommend“

“Cozy ambience with a unique, delicious drink menu. They also offer their kitchen to local food businesses, and the Asian fusion one there when I went was phenomenal. Donavin makes a wonderful drink called “Thank You for Being a Friend” with Louisiana run, almond, passionfruit, and smoky amaro – must try! I was in town for the Home + Garden Show, and Barrel Proof was the perfect unwind!“

“Fantastic evening at an institution. Food was top tier from the French 75s through to the baked Alaska dessert. Crab cake / Shrimp Arnaud starters were solid whilst the mains (veal medallions in a mushrooom sauce / quail in a strawberry gaatrique) were exceptional. Service was top tier with a special shoutout to Travis who made our evening.“

“My friend and I experienced the Chloe for lunch last week 10/12/23 and it was absolutely the best lunch from start to end I have ever had. The goat cheese, pepper and garlic starter is so full of flavor I can’t even describe how happy it made my taste buds. Every bite of food I had was simply perfection. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful in their recommendations. I honestly am planning another weekend trip simply to dine here again. This is a MUST eat while in town. Thank you all for this memorable experience.“

“An exceptional bar in a city full of bars. The Paris Safari decor theme makes for a cozy vibe. The varied cocktail list has many New Orleans classics that are made expertly. We loved the Brandy Crusta, Arnaud’s Special and the Bobby Oakes. We also enjoyed the tasty gougeres and the deviled eggs from the bar bites menu. Service was excellent.“

“Great drinks, happy hour, atmosphere. The loaded fries and pimento cheese are outstanding. Staff were always friendly and helpful. While they do have a frozen daiquiri option, if you are looking for a great cocktail in the French Quarter that does not come out of a slushy machine into a plastic fishbowl, add tw+tw to your itinerary. We've been twice in 3 days.“

“Popped in here for a drink prior to our dinner next door at Zasu. We loved it! The ambiance and decor is lovely. The drinks are incredibly well crafted. The owner is lovely as well! This is truly a family owned and run business. We loved chatting with them. I tend to judge places by how well kept the restrooms are - they didn't let me down here. Super clean and well maintained. We didn't grab food, but the people sitting next to us at the bar had the most amazing looking burger. We were only in town for work, but if I was local this would be my regular spot! Highly recommend!“

“Service was friendly professional and prompt. while food was exceptional, the presentationFor the chicken and waffles was subpar at best. It looked like my 16 year old prepared it. “A decent stop for anyone in the garden district! We had the fancy beignet flight (raspberry, smores, and cannoli). They are pretty good! Told us to grab a table, how to order, etc. The dryer was delayed, so they warned us & brought out our apps right away to munch on. Pimento & crackers were excellent, corn beignets were hot & crispy. They kept checking on us & food actually came out right away. All hot & delicious! Chicken Sammie's & tenders were yummy. Staff was super attentive. Would definitely go back!!“

“Rosedale is a restaurant we have been looking forward to trying ever since Mondo closed, but we hadn't gotten around to it until tonight. The food, atmosphere, and service are all something really special. The service was a little on the slow side, despite the restaurant not being terribly busy on a Thursday, but everything was worth the wait, and our server was wonderfully attentive. We also lucked out with perfect weather to enjoy the patio, but I know the restaurant doesn't order that up! If they did, I'd like to place an order for the rest of April to be just as gorgeous.Kid-friendliness: Two of our guests at the dinner table were kids, and they thoroughly enjoyed their options, demolishing everything set in front of them. It's good to see a restaurant that welcomes kids without being built around them, striking a good balance there.“

“We had to stop by at least one triple D spot while in New Orleans. The sides were the best thing here. The Po boys that were showcased decent. There is nothing to truly write home about. Our server was ok and seemed like they didn't want to be there. We had another server stop by the table while truly made the experience better. Otherwise 8/10.“

“This place doesn't stand out from the street, but when you go inside, it completely transforms you to a drink oasis! Between the cute decor and eclectic drink menu, you are bound to be transformed by your drink selection and outstanding customer service! As I had been drinking rum today, I wanted to stay with this theme, so I tried the Shiso fly, which is made with Japanese rum, and this drink was awesome! It was refreshing yet strong at the same time. Also, the bar tenders are knowledgeable about the alcohol and ingredients going into your drink, so if you're unsure about a drink, they will definitely help you find one that will satisfy your palette! I will definitely return for a stellar drink and light hearted conversation.“
“Was here a few years ago to meet up with a friend, didn't save it so couldn't for the life of me remember where it was. Happily found it again this Mardi gras/Fat Tuesday night and was more than pleasantly surprised. Eric(k)? Was the perfect bartender - super into the mixology of what would work and I trusted him with 3; cocktails if his own design, each one better than the last. The ambiance was a perfect respite from the madness, great place to reminisce with friends and catch a night cap! And do yourself a favor and ask for the "bartender's choice"“
“If you are in Metairie Bar Tevs is a great spot to meet up with friends or watch a game. Great location off of Airline in Metairie away from the hustle of the city. The owners always make a fun atmosphere on game days or any day! And the food pop-up’s are on point!“

“The food is great, but the service is what takes it over the top. Amber holds it down every single time. Never had such consistently amazing service. Every time I come here, she’s so positive and energetic. If you’re ever uncertain about the menu, she kindly assists and makes excellent recommendations. I have never seen her not smiling. Sounds like something simple, but there are very few who manage to do this job as well as Amber. She deserves a raise!“
