“Had an amazing lunch on the patio with my girls last Sunday. We had a few of the daily specials. The spinach dip could have used a little more crabmeat, but aside from that everything was amazing! We ordered bisque, seafood pasta, and a salmon dish. Our server was very polite and accommodating. Will definitely come back!“
“This restaurant has large openings to the outside, that includes great views of the river, a play area for kids, and an outdoor seating area.Staff was prompt and friendly.The anchor shrimp (appetizer) was was crispy, perfectly portioned and the flavor didn't disappoint it's appearance.Garlic parmesan wings (appetizer) were good. I prefer crispier wings, but they were typical compared to other restaurants I have been to. If anyone knows of a place that has large crispy wings let me know!!The Nashville hot and chicken was good. Crispy and juicy.The bacon jam burger was delicious. The bacon and jam added a sweet and savory component over your typical burgers.The fries were just ok. Thicker size like Wendy's fries, little to no seasoning/flavor and kinda on the softer size.Fish and chips, again the fries are nothing to write home about. But the large portion of crunchy and flaky redfish hit the spot for me.Strawberry lemonade mint daiquiri doesn't really have a mint taste but is very good.The play area was a good size and all the kids there including mine enjoyed this space.I was told the menu changes ever couple months.Don't know if there is a live band every night but there was a good band during our meal and the overall atmosphere was outstanding. One of our favorite places so far on the north shore overall, covering all ages of our familyWheelchair accessibility: I did see but did not use a wheelchair entrance before the actual entrance“
“My mom and I had a lovely brunch at tandem. We split the avocado toast and the apple ricotta toast as well as an order of deviled eggs. We also had a limoncello spritz each. The proprietor delivered them to us herself and shared that the limoncello is made by her and is a labor of love. I LOVE limoncello and hers was delicious. Truly everything was delicious and we very much enjoyed the casual bright atmosphere. Perfect for a brunch or a stop in from a bike ride on the trace. Next time I may need to try the house-made pimento grilled cheese.“
“Easily the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to! The chicken salad sandwich was so good, I almost shed a tear. I ordered a flight of coffee, and they were all really good. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but I think I’ve had my awakening. Will definitely be returning. Also, an added bonus, was the decoration and customer service. Kudos to the coffee roaster. A+++!“
“Love it there there is no food unless food truck or someone cooking outside or for a game or a benefit or some kind of party like Mardi Gras...it's a neighborhood bar during the week and the best live music venue on the Northshore on the weekends. Playing the best music from all genre's but The Funky Blues has always been a Ruby's staple. It's always a happening place with good friendly folks and the best owners anyone could work for...place has been like family to me for the past 20 years...not to mention I had the pleasure and opportunity to work there for 10 years. I miss it so much but health issues prevents me from doing it anymore unless I'm asked to fill in and guest bartend for a day. If you have never had the opportunity to go there your missing out on a great place and great people. Hurry and get on down there for a cold beer, great drinks and some music. There's always some fun happening at Ruby's Roadhouse xxxoooo“
“Y’all!!! This is a MUST place to visit. If you’re looking for a nice place to chill. This place is perfect. The bartenders are fantastic! Perfect southern charm! I only had the cranberry and vodka. I watched them make all sorts of drinks I’d love to try.After a nice drink you can walk one maybe two blocks and enjoy the lakefront watching a sunset.“
“Better known as YaYa's , this place is a small hole in the wall bar . They have pool tables and its main attendees are locals, middle age demographics & older veterans (some questionable -some not). If your not familiar you may get a few awkward stares and if you are local you will probably get stares because its a small establishment (spaced in a strip pf stores) Its no holy grail of Downtown Covingtons night scene, but they do have liquor and pool tables ????♀️ If your looking for a high society group of people-you should pass. I give it 5 stars even though its a little rough Neighborhood Dive being it doesn't represent or brand itself as anything other than that.“
“We stopped in on a spur of the moment road trip to the Northshore. Taylor waited on us and was amazing. She recommended the Tournedos and several drinks. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and staff really nice and the cheesecake was Devine!“

This visit I had the Sea Bass, my husband the Ribeye and my brother the lasagna. All excellent. You cannot go wrong. This is officially my favorite restaurant in the S Louisiana area.“
