“I went fearful of what I could find, I was looking for Mexican food and I found this oasis, I'm from Houston Tx and never thought I would find the best birria at this place, service was excellent and price very affordable, ambiance was excellent, the place is super nice.“
“Love everything about this place. There were 5 of us, it was a small wait and we were able to get margaritas while we waited, then once we got a table the food was amazing, substitutions for some folks were no problem, very accommodating, friendly folks, great prices too! A+!“
“To me this place is the best Mexican restaurant in Metairie, Kenner and New Orleans, the food is very fresh, authentic, they have the best brunch, very authentic Mexican brunch, they have huevos ranchers, huevos divorciados, guacamole toast, tacos for brunch, French toast, enmoladas, enchiladas, omg they have everything, to me is the best Mexican food by far.Parking: They just built another parking lot across the street.“
“Really cool outdoor space with good food, great for groups and vibey dates. If you want to eat outside, this is a top choice. You order at the window so the service is real quick and easy. Ordered a few tacos, the queso, and a bowl. So the tacos were ok, no real complaints. But the bowl is where it’s at. Beans and rice and guacamole and choice of protein and you can add broccoli and mushrooms. Great meal, really filling and delicious. The queso was unique, I added the chili and it came with pomegranate so it was a mixture of spice and sweet. Also, don’t sleep on the frozen mango margarita. Delish. This’ll be the happening spot as the weather warms up!“
“Chef Ana is a master at f flavour balance and wickedly creative combinations. Using classic dishes but making them her own along with local ingredients makes for a winning treat. Cocktails are great to pair with as is a small but creative wine list. Room is stark but works. Service is friendly and very informative. A “
“We always have a great time when we go to Mia's. The staff is so friendly and professional. They always answer any questions that we have about the food, drinks, or specials. Look forward to going by there again. The tents are ceviche is a must!“
“This is a vary small place with great food. The employees are vary friendly. The food is made fresh every day. The Taco Nicaraguans corn tortilla with beef an vary spicy is great.. 3 for $7.80'. Try the Yucca , Spanish pastries stuffed with ground beef is wonderful only $9.00 . And the Flan is great. YouMust go there it has the best food an not pricey.“
“Beautiful area, but the soup is always very salty and it gets really busy. It's best to order online and pick up. They do have a lovely patio but with fake grass :/ and it's usually crawling with kids and rarely an adult.Parking: Not many spots and is usually full“
“I read good reviews so I thought id give it a try. Little place in a strip mall. Maybe 4 tables and a counter for dining in. Friendly, smiley staff.THE FOOD: I ordered a guacamole and 4 tacos with various meats. The guacamole was REALLY good. Not shy about using Cilantro, a little jalapeno, really delicious!Barbacoa, carnitas and birría tacos were just fantastic and had a little au ju on the side which added so much flavor. A little out of the way, but worth it!“
“Description: Stylish eccentric colorful vibe, pet & kid friendly, outdoor seating, good views. The food is ok. The prices are decent. The service is premium but under staffed. The ordering is counter service with buzzers. Would recommend for locals. It's mostly self serving.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor Games and Splash Pad“
“This legitimately is the best Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life. The chicken quesadillas w pico de gallo and the beef gorditas ... are actually life-changing. I will only be ordering my Mexican food from here on out. Wow And the ladies who cooked everything were so kind. Bless you for such a great, delicious meal and thank you!“
“This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've visited. Being from Baton Rouge my husband and I love Superior Grill. Don Jose's Grill was delicious. We had a group of 6 and everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely visit again when we are in Kenner. We highly recommend ?.“
“I didn’t see any flying burritos … except the one that flew into my mouth!I stopped in here on February 4th 2024 and grabbed a burrito to go (brought it over to Oak St. Brewery). It was Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! There was a wonderful energy to the place.I had their flagship Flying Burrito. It comes with grilled steak, shrimp, and chicken. It was very good, and more that one person should consume at one sitting. But, of course, I ate the whole damn thing! I couldn't put it down!I can't wait for my next visit!“
“Just amazing. The queso is the best I've had. So good!!! A bit of a wait if it's busy but well worth it!!!!Vegetarian options: Nit a ton but every dish can have rice and beans and be delicious. Not sure what beans are cooked with but when I asked if it was animal broth they said no.“
“My boyfriend found this place a few years ago and couldn’t stop raving about them! Recently reopened, with the same amazing food, same atmosphere and the same most charismatic owner! Hugo knows so many cool stories and gives the tequila an extra umph with his breadth of knowledge! Can’t recommend enough! I got the Enchiladas Mexicanas and we split the chips with queso/salsa/guac. Good prices for the portions and depth of flavor!“
“Taqueria Guerrero has never disappointed since it had it. Small place but definitely provides when I'm craving Mexican cuisine. Laid back environment and I've never seen more than 4 other people in there but they do have plenty of takeout orders. The workers are always friendly and patient and the food is good as well. Only things I don't like are that there is barely any parking and I'm not a huge fan of the salsa.“
“3rd coming here and it never fails. The service is the best service anyone could experience. They are so friendly. Valentina was over the top friendly. Made us feel like family. I recommend the arepas they are so delicious. They won me as a client. It’s a must to come here!“
“My friends and I hit this place almost every Tuesday night!!! My fav is the carnitas taco! Chips are warm, salsa is the perfect spice!! Have had several other menu items and all have been great! Seem to have the same waitstaff, we've probably had all of them several times. All very nice, attentive and friendly! Fun atmosphere. Clean restrooms. Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight squeeze between tables but they can be moved to accommodate.“
“The nicest people and such amazing food!! The service is amazing and attentive. We only had queso and a chicken quesadilla with rice and beans, all of it was were great. The rice was sooooo good. I highly recommend checking out this place and supporting this local restaurant!!“
“We absolutely loved this place! The entire menu is gluten free, the food is fantastic, and the staff are truly wonderful. The tacos were pretty small, so we were glad to have an appetizer before our meal. For that, we had the crawfish queso, which was one of the most delicious dishes we've had in NOLA. I Highly recommend this place!Vegetarian options: Lots of great & interesting veggie options!Dietary restrictions: The entire menu is gluten free!“
“These are the most fabulous tacos I've had in years and their only peer in New Orleans is Casa Borega. Skillet fried soft corn tortillas full of fabulous beef and fillings. I tried three sauces the red arbol the red tomatillo and the guaca salsa. All were delicious but the red arbol is what spicy should be. Enough to make you sit up and take notice but not ruin the rest of your meal. This is way far from my house but I will be back.“
“Food was tasty. Portions were large. Service was friendly and efficient. Good value. A great addition to Uptown. Side salad with chicken was delicious. Quality tacos - no skimping on filling. My meal was big enough for me to take home enough for a second dinner. It is a new favorite.“
“We came on a Wednesday evening, so it wasn’t busy. Our waitress was great. Food was delicious. We got the fajitas and some margaritas that were delicious. Enjoyed the fresh fruit in our margaritas. Loved that they asked how well done we wanted our fajitas. They came out perfect! Will definitely go back on our text trip.“
“Service is outstanding, prices are reasonable and food is fantastic! Ceviche was perfect and queso was best I've ever eaten. Our table was served fish tacos- fresh and filling, cheese, poblano and chicken enchiladas-full of flavor and made to order, chicken tacos- out of this world. Dessert was a moist rum cake and Mexican Mousse. You can't go wrong here.“
“This is my favorite restaurant. Staff is kind. I order to go from here all the time. It's always ready when the staff says it will be. I think they have the best burritos and pupusas in town, certainly on the West Bank. The fajitas are incredible and fairly portioned for the price. My daughter loves their quesadillas. Took my brothers here when they came into town too, they loved it as well.“
“There is never a bad dish or drink here. My favs are the shrimp quesadilla, the nopales tacos, and the happy hour specials ? ?This place is a MUST GO TO in New Orleans, it is typically one of our first stops (we have been coming here since my husband and i were dating and that was damn near 8 years ago). Did I mention that the outdoor seating is both kid and dog friendly????Everything there is delicious. GO NOW.Vegetarian options: The Nopales are killer!!!Kid-friendliness: Large yard for kids to run around in.“
“I popped in at a seemingly slow period around 3ish or so. I've been here a few times . I never really get that welcoming vibe(my experience) but the food is always Pretty Good.Anyway this day I ordered the chicken Quesadilla meal...it came with bean and rice on the side...a small portion of Guac...sour creme..tomatoes...1st off my Quesadill wasn't cut.....ok. 2nd my Chicken Quesadill was so bland it literally just looked like shredded chicken inside a tortilla....no peppers no cheese...SADCASEADILLAI FELT NO LOVE WAS PUT INTO THE MAKING OF THISILL GIVE IT A 2.9 OUT OF 5“
“I love this place ! I come here at least 4 times a month. The best people and service ! Would definitely recommend and whoever don’t like it is crazy ! I come here often the minute I walk in they know what I want . I recommended this restaurant to so many people I know and they love it too. My food is always fresh and hot . Great drinks and tacos !“
“Came during Happy Hour and got the margs. Them boys are delicious and strong!! Whew, I was turnt after two of them. Our sever was awesome. The $2 Tuesday street taco deal was really great, too!! Nice-sized flavorful tacos with a kick. I totally recommend coming here! ♥️“
“I am in heaven cause it’s taco Tuesday!? The best day of the week at zocalo! Margaritas are even better (every day). This is my new go to place! Forget those other places around come here and ask for Rene’. She the best server!!! Manager Javier is great too!Vegetarian options: They have cauliflower tacos and mushroom tacos. They have many other vegetarian choices.“
“Always one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite. Staff is always super friendly and haven’t had anything missing from an order in all my years going here. I know all the rest have closed, I really hope this one stays around because I love it so “
“i haven’t tried any food here so can’t so much about that, but drinks aren’t bad, and this place is a fun, casual dive bar with lots of space in their back rooms and back yard area. i love all the quirky decor and vintage knick knacks.“
“First time here. Ordered the Quesa tacos with chicken. Price wasn’t bad for 3 flour tacos. Service was good and the menu choices were great. The quesadilla was small for the price. Could have been bigger with added sides other than a dollop of guacamole. Other than that, great experience and food!“
“Let me start with the service is excellent. You're greeted like family. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious but the chips were the star. They were thin and crispy with some Cajun seasoning on them. I had the smothered burger special that was so yummy. The Cajun potatoes and gravy with onions were just perfect!! Hubby had the honey blackened mahi mahi sandwich and it was so good. I highly recommend this little hole in the wall that the tables are full; but, well worth the wait.“
“We stopped at this cute little place on the way back home and they had plenty of ice cream and snack options. We LOVED the churros, they are so fresh and delicious we ate it all before we could get a picture but we highly recommend if you do give this place a try. My son enjoyed his super man ice cream. My mangos with chamoy & tajin was also good.“
“I love this place and have been several times now. The salsa is served warm and is addictive. The birria is on point and the aguachile is so refreshing. The mitcheladas are so good and gigantic with all the takin and chamoy you need. Have yet to be disappointed be this place. 10/10“
“I was in the area and saw this place. I went and tried it out. I was expecting more from the menu. However, I tried the Pechuga de pollo a la plancha. This food was delicious and plentiful. The presentation was great. They took great care in preparing the food and placing on the plate. The food was served hot. The service was excellent and the staff enjoyed their jobs. The atmosphere was nice and clean. They played music overhead. I will definitely return to this place. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant.“
“Great food and atmosphere. I would highly recommend in this restaurant to anyone. Great place to go and it won’t break the bank.Parking: Pull into the parking lot and walk in, unless it’s a holiday or event, then you may need to arrive early.Kid-friendliness: There are many of high chairs in the restaurant and a kid friendly menuWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair can be used throughout the facility“
“I Always LOVE coming here. The regulars are fun....Always great conversations...and I just can't get enough of Gabby and the Manager Jarrell. They are both so personable and remember not just me but everyone that I saw come to the bar. TY Felipe'“
“It is absolutely a real Mexican culinary experience. I go there at least once a month. Depending on who's taking your order (unless you speak Spanish) you might have to point to what you want on their menu. And with minimal sign language and a few awkward minutes waiting, you'll definately be impressed by the food.Parking: Parking sucks bc jerks next door won't let anyone in, it's an empty, unoccupied building!“
“My meal here hit the spot on Carnival day. Fresh, tasty, plentiful portions. Amazing value. Authentic and just right. Such friendly service too. First time here but I will be back. (I only gave atmosphere a “4” because there’s no background music and it sounds kinda sad and lonely in here for such a festive place.)“
“I happened to hear the review on the place on the radio and decided to try it. I’m happy that I did. I ordered theYuca Con Chicharron and chicken tamale. The first dish was larger than I thought, but it was delicious. I haven’t eaten the tamale yet, since I was full from the first dish. But I look forward to doing so later. I got to meet and talk with the father of the business, and it was very pleasant, as he gave me samples of certain foods and informed about why his tortitas are different than others. It was very informative. One of his sons was a chef at Emeril’s, and a New York magazine rated Mawi as a top ten best restaurants in New Orleans. Im looking forward to another visit“
“The birria tacos were divine. They were juicy, tender, and had just the right amount of cheese. The tortillas were nice and crispy. The sauce was amazing and I loved how they gave the hot sauce on the side so you can decide how spicy you like it. We also got a steak quesadilla and it was delicious. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. The price wasn’t bad considering how good the food was, and we got a first time discount. We paid around $30 for two birria plates and one steak quesadilla (with discount)“
“100% recommend this placeI tried 2 of each taco and there was not one I didn't like. As a Texas Native and Of Mexican decent I totally give this place all the thumbs up.Parking: This is a food truck, you park and order at the window and they make it for you right then and there.“
“This is as one of the best El Paso's I've ever been to. Possibly the best Mexican restaurant I've even been to. The inside is cute and decorated. Our server was amazing and helpful. We also got 2 for 1 margarita mango and they were a little sweet but I honestly love sweeter cocktails. The food was absolutely amazing, we got the special for $13 steak fajita and barbecue chicken quesadilla. Everything was so fresh and it was a pretty large portion of steak. Food came out really quick in like 10 minutes. Overall I would absolutely recommend you visit despite the other reviews. Maybe it's under new management or they're just doing better in every way possible. Try it for yourself !!!“
“I booked my staff holiday party at Galaxie and everything was perfect. The outdoor patio is beautiful and was super toasty with heaters and fire pits. Food was fresh and delicious and they had several options to choose from for catering. Pitchers of margaritas were a hit and everyone had a lovely time. I highly recommend booking an event here.“
“I've been a regular for almost 2 years, personally and professionally. The food is high quality and the atmosphere is fun! The employees are like family. They remember you and will go out of the way to give you a great experience. I'd give them more stars if I could. Love them!!“
“Don’t sleep on the molé. Especially if you know what mole is, they make it themselves. Do you know how hard it is to make mole? How much time it takes. It’s sweet and spicy and the chicken is moist and perfectly grilled. Ughhh, so good.“
“Tonight 11/28/2023 myself, my son & my niece came thru the drive thru! I just want to say that Devonte(spell check) was beyond amazing! Our order took a little minute, not bad, but the timing would've pissed a Karen off, he maintained a positive attitude, and double checked our order after the wait!! I've been to this drive thru many times for my dad who LOVES THE FOOD, and all the associates are nice everytime but this time it was different! Not saying the others are bad, but he went above & beyond to just interact with us & enjoy his job!! Thank you Demonte from the lady in the gold truck listening to Christmas music with her son & her niece, talking about how beautiful the moon look tonight! I hope you one day see this and someone see's this & recognizes how powerful your positive impact was received after a day of a teaching I had!! May God bless you in all that you do!!“
