“It's a diner and I love these places!! It reminds me of growing up, going to breakfast with my WWII/Korean war vet dad on a Saturday morning. Get breakfast at the diner, go to the dump, then hardware store... you get the picture. Sitting at the counter mere feet from the grill with a guy flipping eggs, fried potatoes, learning that men drink coffee black, etc. etc. The food is good old fashion American breakfast, and lunch. Great coffee, great service (the digital ordering thing is a bust) but the wait staff is great.Vegetarian options: If you want vegan, God are you at the wrong place. They have some options, but this is a diner, take the man bun somewhere else.Parking: Amazing open free parking lot.“

“We've lived in the parish for nearly 20 years but only recently tried this place while renovating our kitchen. Once our own kitchen is functional again, we won't be ordering as often but I'm sure we'll visit for a pickup every now and then.“

The food was the best food I've had in a Mexican restaurant in a long time. Let's start with the atmosphere which is greatly improved with very nice comfortable furniture and decor, fitting , mid to upper range style Mexican restaurant . We were greeted instantly at the door and sat in a booth as it was our preference. The hostess was very pleasant . Chips with salsa were brought to the table immediately and my friend and I requested beans and queso and it was delivered very quickly. We ordered our food, and when it arrived, it was beautifully presented and very hot, which is a plus plus for me. I had a chicken lunch plate and my friend ordered steak fajitas. My experience this time ,was so elevated and superior compared to my last visit . Pricing is fair to value. I will definitely return.“

“I ordered the kebab platter. The tahini sauce tasted better than any tahini sauce I have tasted. The Greek salad had very fresh lettuce considering it’s a Sunday night when most restaurants serve slightly wilted lettuce. The hamburger shaped kebabs topped with small sticks of pickles and very thinly sliced onions. When dipped it in the garlic sauce, it was delicious. Now that I think about it I wish I would’ve asked for a spoon so I could have gotten more good rice in my mouth. I wanted something light and filling, and I sure got it. I was totally satisfied when I left the place. It was very clean and appealing and the help was very friendly. When I leave Houston to come visit my sister, Shawarma on the Run will definitely be a stop for us.“

“The 4 star rating of the food is partly because I'm not a fan of catfish. But we were at the restaurant where catfish is King, so I tried it. Where I live, when we cook fish, we remove the brown areas of the meat, which is the fish's waste, so that's what I'm used to. However, this wasn't removed, and quite possibly that's how catfish is cooked. However, because of that, I couldn't stomach it. The tartar sauce was delicious, as was the Cajun potatoes. But the stars of the show were definitely the bloody Mary and the king cake beignets! Sorry I only remembered to take a picture of the beignets.“

“From my perspective, I believe the restaurant is family owned. When I walked in I felt warm and I was greeted immediately. I had chips and guac and baleadas. The gauc was definitely fresh just wish it was more cold and more salt. I feel like the chips were old but it was still edible. The size of the baleadas was large, which I’m not usually used to, which is a great thing. It was pretty good just needed more flavor.Kid-friendliness: For the family“

“Just to start the oil was clean the onions rings and fries were perfect cooked. The onion rings have a butter flavor that's out of this world hands down the best I've ever had!!!! “For true, authentic Cuban sandwiches, I highly recommend Norma's! I also got a chicken empanada and tres leche cake. All of the items were outstanding and the customer service was great! The grocery carries a wide variety of Hispanic products that are difficult to find elsewhere. I highly recommend!!“

The Oyster Mosca and Shrimp Mosca are must get selections. The pasta and red sauce, too. Last night, the Chicken a la Grande was overdone..pass on this item. I was disappointed they did not have Sangiovese ( on their website menu)....they substituted a Cab Sauv. The pineapple fluff is a rather unusual item. If you email them for something other than reservations, do not expect a response. This is a place to go to with a small group in order to share items ( serving is family style.)“

“Probably the best place I’ve found to eat in Kenner. There is definitely a bit of a language barrier. But, I spoke to the waitress in English and she spoke to me in Spanish, and it all worked out in the end. First of all- if you order the tamales, and you’re used to Mexican tamales, this is a whole different level of tamale. The appetizer comes with 2, and you could make a meal out of that. These are huge tamales stuffed with potatoes, carrot, peas, chicken and olives. Very tasty. I also had the pollo guisado (stewed chicken) which was also delicious. Beans and rice, a large potato and carrots as well as a salad. This all came with a giant tortilla. Needless to say, I am stuffed and currently heading into a food coma. Great spot, worth the search!“

“This was my first time to dine at Little Chinatown and it did not disappoint! From my experience, you can expect excellent food, good portions, and great service. Although you cannot substitute fried rice for the entree white rice, the combination fried rice is worth the extra $$$…it’s a huge portion which can take care of 4 people. My girlfriend and I had the vegetable rolls, pepper beef, and blackened steak. We took leftovers home. I will definitely return to try some of their other offerings.“
