“I would have given them 5 stars, atmosphere is great, staff is friendly. The only complaint I have is that it takes an act of Congress to get a drink at the bar, between people sitting already at the bar and people just hanging around, the bar area is crowded and it seems like there is no system in place when it comes to walking up to the bar to order. After about 15 minutes when I was finally able to get to the bar and get a drink, someone had already sat at the spot I was sitting at when I got back. I would suggest food orders be taken only by the side where pick up is. Other than that, it was fun.“

“I went to get a take out po boy. I had a seat to wait in. But the wait was no time at all. The sandwich was so long, my husband and I split it. It was stuffed with delicious fried fish. “Great place to go if you like Abita beer. They have all the regulars on tap and some special tap room exclusives as well. I’m not a brewery guy but this was a fun experience and I would definitely go back. Plenty of merch and stuff in the shop to buy as well“

“Went with my sister for brunch on Saturday, hands down the best brunch in Mandeville. Started with the praline bacon and spiked iced coffee, TO DIE FOR. Literally melted in your mouth.We were seated with Gina, the funniest and best server, IMHO. She suggested the seafood omelet scramble style with a grilled biscuit and let me tell you Gina did. Not. Disappoint. We also got a side of roast beef debris to go on the cheese grits. I’m drooling just writing this review. My sister got the pick two Benedict’s. Everything was delicious, came out quickly and soo reasonably priced for what you get. We left fat and happy. ?This is my second time coming here, and I’ll be back for a third and fourth and you get where I’m going with this……EAT HERE. And ask for Gina. ?“

“Had the shrimp tacos, and fried mushrooms. It was absolutely perfect, some of the best blackened shrimp and as I said the fried mushrooms were perfectly fried. I thought I spent alot on lunch but when food is really good you can overlook it. I plan on going back!“

“Love it there there is no food unless food truck or someone cooking outside or for a game or a benefit or some kind of party like Mardi Gras...it's a neighborhood bar during the week and the best live music venue on the Northshore on the weekends. Playing the best music from all genre's but The Funky Blues has always been a Ruby's staple. It's always a happening place with good friendly folks and the best owners anyone could work for...place has been like family to me for the past 20 years...not to mention I had the pleasure and opportunity to work there for 10 years. I miss it so much but health issues prevents me from doing it anymore unless I'm asked to fill in and guest bartend for a day. If you have never had the opportunity to go there your missing out on a great place and great people. Hurry and get on down there for a cold beer, great drinks and some music. “Better known as YaYa's , this place is a small hole in the wall bar . They have pool tables and its main attendees are locals, middle age demographics & older veterans (some questionable -some not). If your not familiar you may get a few awkward stares and if you are local you will probably get stares because its a small establishment (spaced in a strip pf stores) Its no holy grail of Downtown Covingtons night scene, but they do have liquor and pool tables ????‍♀️ If your looking for a high society group of people-you should pass. I give it 5 stars even though its a little rough Neighborhood Dive being it doesn't represent or brand itself as anything other than that.“

“I was here for work and stayed three nights. It is an old building full of southern charm but with modern upgrades and sophistication you would expect from a large hotel. It is a relatively small place but they do not skimp on the service or quality. When I come to Covington, this will ALWAYS be my hotel!“

They have some nice rocking chairs looking out over the lake to calm your nerves, if that doesn't work they also have 3 bars upstairs that you can "pick your poison" and chill. We got some drinks and hung out upstairs overlooking the beautiful lake and all the activities that were going on. I think our wait was over an hour, but it only seemed a short while as the view was spectacular and the conversation was great with other guests. Everyone is very friendly here. The staff was top notch and even recognized the regular customers, which I plan to be from now on. Let's get to the food... In a word - Outstanding! From the chargrilled oysters to the chili shrimp appetizers to the main course, all was well more than anticipated. “Kid-friendliness: We had a birthday dinner at The Pink Agave of Covington for my daughter’s 10th birthday. All of the girls had such a great time! They enjoyed taking pictures and being served mocktails in their “super cool” cups. He was so awesome and super great with all the kids. His patience level is superb. “It's been a while since I've visited this place. It has a nice environment to relax and grab a bite. Stopped by today just to grab a quick late lunch. I noticed they had the beef fajitas on special for 11.99 (Sunday special). So I decided to have that and a soft drink. Service was friendly. Food came out fast and tasted great. Total bill was around $20 including the tip. Excellent experience. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good place with delicious food that isn't overpriced.“
