Parkway Bakery & Tavern Reviews
Parkway will ALWAYS be a favorite for me and my family. We absolutely love their poboy’s. This place is #1 in our opinion ❤️
Don't go on days when they will be extra busy, like when they have Thanksgiving dinner poboys or the day after Xmas.
One person taking orders. Leaves register to get more cups, use restroom, etc. and line comes to a standstill.
The wait in line was over an hour, and the line wasn't *that* long.
Food was definitely not worth that wait.
It was a HOT day in July today so we were thankful to find Jay’s Place upstairs (with air conditioning.) The food was amazing and our servers were wonderful. We’ll definitely be back to try other poboys! Thanks, y’all!

Parkway Bakery & Tavern in New Orleans is a must-visit spot known for serving the best po boys in town. The shrimp po boy is a standout, fresh and delicious, while the Surf-n-Turf also receives high praise. The James Brown po boy is a hit too. With a cool historic vibe, friendly staff, and incredibly clean facilities, this spot offers reasonable prices, incredible food, and cold beer. Customers consistently mention that the po boys are overstuffed, making them perfect for sharing or taking home. Parkway Bakery & Tavern is worth the drive/wait for a taste of authentic NOLA cuisine. It is recommended to arrive early to avoid long waits, especially on busy days. All tables are outside, so be prepared for the weather.
