“I had a bad experience on my last visit. I emailed the company and got a quick apology, I went back last night after a day of errands and wasn't going to cook. Well, I must say a 360 degree turn around. I got the double queen pounder, fries and a shake. Everything was delicious, hot, fresh the the strawberry shake was delicious. The purpose of my email to the company was to return and get this type of experience. Thanks, Trish“
“Every beer we tried was delicious. Cocktails were much better than expected for a brewery. The food also blew us away. Possibly best chicken I've ever had. Sure it's not an easy walk from the Bourbon Street festivities, but catch an Uber from a main street and it'll be a nice change of pace that is definitely worth it.“
“Holy moly, you MUST get the hot honey fried chicken french toast biscuit, $9. It's what dreams are made of. Perfectly fried chicken, a melted honey butter on a French toast biscuit. Wow, we split it and wished we got our own. The donuts when I visited were more Easter themed, many of them with marshmallow filling. I went with the King cake donut. It was topped with pretty pink, yellow and purple sprinkles. I thought the fillings would just be vanilla but it had cardamom and cinnamon too. The filling was colored with a fun bright blue. We were definitely impressed with the new edition of food items, when we visited years ago it was just donuts. You have to visit if you're in Nola, you won't regret it!!“
“After a long trip and waiting to settle into the hotel we found this spot not more than a block away and kept going back over the course of the week even though we were just visiting and not for the convenience but the service was fantastic the food was amazing and overall just an incredible spot to check “
“This place has character. From the moment you walk up to the build, to the memes on the wall. I got the mushroom bacon Swiss and it lived up to my expectations completely. The price isn't bad either. I'd eat here anytime it gets suggested by friends.Vegetarian options: They have an impossible burger version of their burgers. Not everyone's cup of tea, but they are attempting to be inclusive.“
“We stopped in for a quick meal before heading to the airport, with 10 teenagers who play in a band for our show choirs here in Texas. They put some tables together for us and the kids enjoyed the fun diner atmosphere. The food was fantastic, portions were big enough to fill up our teenage boy's appetites, the staff were wonderful and made us feel right at home!“
“Food is off charts good. Chef's check on you and are always nice. Too many good choices to name but I've ate almost everything in menu and it's always great. Quick dining trip or sit and visit while small tables but exceptional food. Small place with small tables but excellent appetizers and entrees. Try it you'll love it.“
“We had a group of 12. Our waitress was fabulous. She took care of everyone in a timely fashion. I haven't had a Ground Pat'i in years. Just as I remember. It was cooked to perfection. I do miss the pewter mugs that they used YEARS AGO?“
“This little cafe that is attached to the LA Children’s Museum is a great spot for a quick bite or snack or a full lunch. They have a good menu of sandwiches and salads. Their pastry counter is my favorite though, can’t leave without a homemade pop tart or a delicious cinnamon roll ?“
“We were in town for a football game and looking for a drink and bite to eat on the way home. Thank goodness we found this place! The food was AMAZING! Usually I don’t trust steak at all bad, but the steak was perfect, as was my tuna steak. Even the mac and cheese was so good. We will definitely be back!“
“This place is amazing. The wings are some of the best I've had, made to order, and i wish i would have gotten some fries. Forgot to take pictures, but I'll try to remember the next time i go. We got the peper jelly and thi chillie wings. Would recommend.“
“It's a great place for a typical small dinner. The breakfast was spot on and we had a good time. I gave it four stars because it's not very big and they cram everyone in so you are very close to other groups. The food and service are five “
“Came thru one nite after my husband and I attended a wedding. I wish I had pic but I didn't order anything for me really. Just ate off my husband's roast beef po-boy that was nice size and good, my daughter had the cheese sticks they sell. Lordy!!! Definitely have to get some with any order. Lightly battered and so cheesy with authentic mozzarella! Open late for whatever your need may have been. We door dashed it to our hotel and their food was hot and fresh untampered with and still good for them to eat.“
“Came in today and got their special of the day - the spaghetti. It was really good. Packed with flavor and very satisfying. Also had the mixed vegetables that were great as well. The service was great, everyone was kind and welcoming. I got mines to go, but there's a decent amount of seating inside. It's a very chill place to go to and relax while you eat. I'll definitely be back. I keep hearing about these seafood egg rolls, which I'll get on my next visit. Please go out and support these good people.“
“Went here for my 54 bday and had the time of my life with family and friends. We ALL enjoyed ourselves. That chicken plate was right on time???? the drinks were hitting right and we got our groove on the DJ did his BIG ONES????????????????????“
“I've got to say that this is hands down the second best burger I've had in my entire life! (I'm ashamed to admit that the best was actually in Shreveport.) Big, juicy, cooked perfectly! The wait staff was cheery and helpful but a little bit slow.Everything looked clean and fresh!“
“Parking: I work across the street at Tulane sometimes and they let us park there for free. It's so very helpful and convenient to not have to fund parking, pay for parking ,or have to walk far to get to work. Thank you guys for all your help and consideration! Much appreciated ?“
“This is some serious fried seafood comfort food and sides. Special bonus: gluten free fry so I can eat most of their menu! Added: Been going back regularly, consistently the best. And yes, there is outdoor seating you can eat at in the covered courtyard, but I think it's shared with the other shops, too.“
“Stopped by Beachcorner last night. It was very busy and a little loud. There was a little wait for the food because it was only two gentlemen working which was totally understandable. There was one guy cooking the food and making drinks lol the great part was the customer service. These guys had a system set up and both worked well together. No matter how busy it would get, everyone was given great customer service and both gentlemen smiled the entire time. The burgers were good just not seasoned enough. Lol We still enjoyed everything. My friend ended up ordering more burgers to go. It was her first time. Thank you to the gentleman for making my green tea shot ?“
“Casual eatery on Oak Street. The burgers are delicious and are made to order! My personal favorite is the Uptown Burger, which comes with goat cheese and roasted Roma tomatoes. If that doesn't sound appealing, just try it! Don't forget the side order of onion rings. I swear these are the best I've had. The service is typically quick.“
“I just stopped by and got the meatball and the chicken alfredo dinners to take out. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. Meatballs were especially delicious, and the wife said the same about her blackened chicken. We will be back soon to try a few other menu items.“
“Bar & Grill. Good variety on menu. Food was good but a little higher priced than some other nearby places. Bloody Mary was more than just a drink-it had its own theme park experience going on...lol! Atmosphere is laid back vibe but service was on point.“
“Stopped in prior to flying back to the Midwest to kill some time- what a great choice. We were looking for some good wings. Didn't disappoint! The customer service was fantastic- offered us sauces to try and made suggestions proofing to ordering. We had the mango Cajun, garlic parm, sweet red chili glaze and Louisiana hot. The wings were huge!!! Crispy, and flavorful. Definitely would be our new wing spot if we lived there! Stop in if you are looking for great food and service!“
“Traveling with a group. Cook was on floor trying to explain why food not done. Didn't have counts right. Should have focused more on food prepWaitresses were wonderful and worked hard. If in large groups, they struggle to get orders right even when pre-ordered well in advance.“
“It's a diner and I love these places!! It reminds me of growing up, going to breakfast with my WWII/Korean war vet dad on a Saturday morning. Get breakfast at the diner, go to the dump, then hardware store... you get the picture. Sitting at the counter mere feet from the grill with a guy flipping eggs, fried potatoes, learning that men drink coffee black, etc. etc. The food is good old fashion American breakfast, and lunch. Great coffee, great service (the digital ordering thing is a bust) but the wait staff is great.Vegetarian options: If you want vegan, God are you at the wrong place. They have some options, but this is a diner, take the man bun somewhere else.Parking: Amazing open free parking lot.“
“I had gumbo it was just okay. And I also had catfish on yellow rice with crawfish bisque sauce over it .. and it was soooooo good I definitely recommend it . Service was not so great we had the bar tender whom only worried about the bar top we had to fiend for ourselves although we were on the full service side . Ice cream was great .. I would definitely come back but maybe pick a different area to sit in“
“Wow, I'm glad I found this place. It was exactly what I was looking for. Found it on Google with a lot of great reviews. I was in town for business and ordered a to go. Girl at the front counter was very helpful and polite. I ordered the Company Burger with bacon and a side of fries. Reminded me of a good "bar" burger with just that little bit of grease that I like. Definitely not a "chain" burger place. Also tried the house tea, that was very good. Next time I'm in town, I'll be back.“
“I love this place! If I lived a little closer I would be there most nights. They make a good solid burger. My only gripe is the lack of liquor selection, otherwise I would give them 5 stars. The music I've heard there is awesome and always entertaining. Very friendly staff!!“
“The onion rings!!! I hate onions, but these guys have a way for me to love them. The burgers are amazing too. Thats all I can say. My family ate here at least 5 times. Everytime wanted to try the shakes, but never had enough room for them.Good job to everyone that works here.“
“Central Poboys make the heartiest, filling, delicious poboys. They are a busy lunch spot but customer service can't be beat no matter how busy they are! I always order a large ham and cheese poboy and mozzarella sticks when I am working as an actor at New Orleans Nightmare. Just 1/4 of the poboy right before the show keeps me going. The poboys also keep amazingly in the fridge, so get a big one and enjoy it for 2 days.“
“My friend and I have lunch two or three times a month and I randomly pick a place so we are always trying something new. We had decided on going to the mall so wanted to eat lunch first. I read they have great burgers so...need I say more. Great local place outside patio we were the first people in excellent service the food was spot on. Yes the burgers are that good“
“Absolutely delicious. I was skeptical since they self claim they have the best tamales but they Definitely have a run in that claim. Will be back if for the tamales alone. Shrimp plate was good but nothing extraordinary. The people were all very friendly and felt like they were all good friends.“
“The food is incredibly good! the service is more than fantastic and hospitable. it's like you are eating at an old school diner with home cooked meals you would only get from your grandma. if you are in the area or not, this is a must stop!“
“Everything was delicious, however every table was dirty. Burgers were as close to perfect as you could hope for. Fries were crisp and perfect. The milkshakes amazing thick and flavorful. Just a little sad, the tables, drink machines well the dining room was generally sticky and crumb covered.“
“Char-House is a hidden gem! The cozy atmosphere of this hole-in-the-wall restaurant creates the perfect backdrop for their mouthwatering char-broiled burgers. Each bite is a burst of flavor, with the perfect blend of juiciness and smokiness. The friendly staff and unique charm make Char-House a must-visit for burger enthusiasts seeking a delightful dining experience.“
“Come here frequently but today's visit was disappointing. The hamburger steak were three patties about the size of thickness of what you would get on at McDonald's regular hamburger. Very disappointing. This is not what they typically served in the past which was one very big, thick piece of ground beef Patty. The mashed potatoes were good but lukewarm. And the string beans were so salty and spicy I couldn't get through half of them. Also the young gentleman was nice who waited upon us but had to be asked several times for various things. It was like he had attention deficit disorder.“
“Very respectful and helpful staff. Food is incredible and honestly a fair price for what things cost now. Obviously recommend the shakes and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My partner has the chicken bites which were also shockingly great. My roomate who struggles with restrictive eating easily found things on the menu that she could eat as well. If you have a neurodivergent child who is picky odds are they can get at least something off the menu, which can’t be said for everywhere. Will be back 10/10.“
“We went there today and met NANCY AND DAVE THE OWNERS. They were nice and welcoming. the food was good the service was courtesy and the place was clean including the restrooms. my family was satisfied and enjoyed the indoor dining room 1950s decor and music. We will be back and the roast beef poboy is next on my list to try. Americana and retro DRIVE IN l to enjoy. THIS IS AN ICONISTIC AMERICAN DREAM. we loved it and enjoyed our time there, especially talking with Nancy and Dave.“
“I brought my son to the Metairie LA store today at approximately 7:30pm. This is the first time I had an awful experience. I could not even eat my food. I ordered a burger xtra lettuce xtra MOOYAH sauce grilled onions no pickles wheat bun. A family in front of me placed their to dine in and were given a number. A young lady fixed their food with gloves on her hands and brought it to the family and she takes the number from them with the SAME gloves on her hands and proceeds behind the counter to fix the next order. Sliding her gloved hands along the counter. She goes to the grill to work on the next order. She slides the patty off of the spatula on to the bun with the SAME gloved hands. She then puts the fries in the bag but a handful fell on the counter. She picks the fries up off the counter with the SAME gloved hands and puts them in the bag. Calls my name to tell me that my order is ready. I tell her that I do not want it please make my order over. I take it to go when I get home the order is completely wrong!!! I’m so hungry but upset!!! I’ll be calling them tomorrow.“
“Boy you know the food is going to be ON when it's locals speaking Cajun French and chowing down. Had the shrimp poboy and the roast beef. Good stuff. Server even made me a margarita on the rocks. Best (and cheapest) margarita I had in or near the quarter. Geuax here yall. Simple good eating and a good value. See yall next time thru!“
“Awesome sliders and the loaded tots were soooo sinfully delicious! The homemade chips were thin and crispy! Great quick service and respectful of my allergies. Basically a nice sports bar with plenty of TV's and yummy food!Vegetarian options: Salads available and cheese quesadillas.“
“Bud's is an institution. Wonderful burgers and other food but clearly the #2 is the star for me. Great barbecue sauce on it! Fries and onion rings are always well prepared. They have a good variety of drinks including Barq's red soda. Staff here was friendly and efficient. Burgers were served up hot and tasty. First visit to this particular Bud's but definitely not my last.“
“We went in for the lobster special which was great. The lady behind the bar was going a million miles an hour because everything for every table had to be ordered through her. She was working her butt off and had a smile on the whole night.“
“Clean and efficient dining facilities. Not full service, but the weird hybrid where the order is placed at the counter and is delivered to the table where you sit. The food is tasty and a good value. The strangest thing was the big screen had the Young Turks on. But at least the volume was off.“
“I had probably the best wings I’ve ever had!!! For real. They are smoked with a buffalo sauce seasoned with black pepper. The beer was great. The service was excellent. They even brew their own bourbon. Try it, aged 10 years. Will definitely be back. A friend put me on to this place.“
“A cool place to go w/$$$. Weekend and Holidays. Very friendly clientele and staff. The place itself has been around what seems as forever. Known for Crayfish parties and "Live" Bands on weekends. On West Napoleon (off southeast corner of Transcontinental Dr.)“
“It felt very welcoming; the food were amazing. The service was on point with the orders and it just has that backyard bbq feeling.!Dietary restrictions: chicken breast and turkey is a great alternative for the pork and beef plus they taste great.“
“Lucky's is my go to neighborhood bar when in uptown New Orleans. One can spend a good time watching the streetcar and folks go by while enjoying reasonably priced beer or a stiff cocktail. I didn't eat there, but they used to serve a mean burger!“
“Any burger joint can add condiments and a bunch of sauces and stuff. But not everyone can make a quality burger patty. Lee’s has the most juicy and tender burger patty with those amazing baked in onions. Most amazing burger on the planet. WITHOUT QUESTION.“
“We stopped in Dot's diner for breakfast. The breakfasts were huge servings. The service was friendly. We enjoyed our visit. We also had the beignet strips which were absolutely amazing. This is a must see when you're in New Orleans.“
