“This was our first trip to New Orleans. I asked a friend from Louisiana where we should go to eat. Top of the list was Parkway Bakery & Tavern and she was not wrong! First walking in and the server asked if we’ve ever been before and when we said no she got so excited and said she was excited for us and in for a real treat! The place is historic and the food amazing. The gumbo was stellar and the po boy sandwiches were amazing. Such a great experience. Food was delicious. Would definitely make a return visit if we ever come back to New Orleans!“
“We loved this place so much while vacationing in New Orleans that we went 2 nights in a row! The Blue Bacon Fries are seriously addicting! The blackened shrimp Alfredo was so good I ate every bite and it was a large portion. It's a must!“
“A rich experience for your palate. A very cozy restaurant with excellent atmosphere and good parking. A varied menu with competitive prices is a very good option. Their fast and orderly service. We thank Celia for guiding us to a tasty dining experience.“
“New Orleans is known for its fantastic food scene, but let me tell you, I stumbled upon a restaurant that truly blew my mind. The dish that stole my heart was the cajun penne pasta - packed with juicy chicken and spicy sausage, smothered in a mouthwatering cajun sauce that left me wanting more even days later. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this culinary experience!“
“I thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Cooter Brown's Tavern. During my recent visit – not my first – I indulged in their delicious fried oysters, which were simply outstanding. Additionally, their fried fish and cheese fries surpassed my expectations. The service was prompt and welcoming, contributing to the establishment's laid-back atmosphere. Undoubtedly, Cooter Brown's Tavern ranks among my favorite spots in New Orleans.“
“A neighborhood gem. We loved it so much we went there twice in our three day stay. We ordered an oyster and a shrimp po'boy with fries. It was all spectacular and the vibes were on point. This restaurant is a great example of a local institution keeping things simple and classic. Go and thank me later.“
“Quintessential New Orleans on a residential strip of Canal Street. Casual, huge portions, family atmosphere. Big groups go to a plain dining room, but smaller parties sit in the big, interestingly decorated main salon. Can get loud after 7. Daquan (sic) was excellent.“
“Drinks are great and very clean tasting. Bottomless vodka drinks for $20 11a-3p well worth it! Crawfish and and cheese- creamy cheesy goodness, blackberry ribs- fall off the bone melt in your mouth, pork skewers melt in your mouth amazing flavor, fried pickles-light and crunchy not greasy very good with poblano dipping sauce. Definitely a stop in New Orleans if you looking for something to eat and drink this is the place to go!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options“
“We ordered lunch today from Suzie’s for our office staff of about 12 people. Everybody was very happy with the quality of the food. Not a single compliant from anyone and they provided great customer service. We will definitely order again“
“These Po' Boys are THE best! We ate here 10 years ago and I did a little research to locate it so we could go again. Husband got the roast beef Po' boy and I got the fried oyster. OMG delish. Worth the Uber and the price of the food. Highly recommend. Met the owner and told him and he was so thankful and humble.“
“After walking for hours, I chilled at the bar. First up, quenched my thirst with the Frozen Pomagranite Mojito. Worth the brain freeze. I had the Superior Oysters and the crawfish beignets. Excellent! Pricey, but seafood always is. Bartender very attentive.“
“This place was amazing. Go here! Food is fire, customer service is 10 stars... PoBoy was to die for especially the spicy version. Gumbo was tasty! My husband loved the Catfish. I only wish i went back for another time while on our trip. Cool Vibes here very welcoming, they offer many hot sauces & the best part is the Have the red strawberry crème soda! This is what i liked and more. The portions were big & overall a great place to eat & go to.“
“Located in the heart of Lakeview, Russell’s Marina Diner stands as a cherished beacon of New Orleans’ rich culinary tradition.Since its inception in 1985, this diner has carved out a niche for itself as the go-to destination for exceptional breakfasts, weaving itself into the fabric of the city’s dining scene. With a menu that spans the gamut from indulgent fried chicken and waffles to a diverse array of egg specialties, Russell’s caters to a broad spectrum of tastes. Not forgetting the health-conscious, the diner also offers lighter fare such as eggwhite omelets and sweet potato pancakes, ensuring that every patron leaves satisfied. The dining experience is further enhanced by the option to enjoy your meal either inside the diner’s cozy interior, at the counter where the local vibe thrives, in their inviting dining room, or outside on the pet-friendly patio, making it perfect for every occasion.During my visit, I decided to try the legendary Egg Saints #33—a daring concoction that perfectly embodies New Orleans’ flair for culinary innovation. This dish features a grilled biscuit topped with alligator sausage, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs, and smothered in homemade country gravy. Each component of the dish harmonizes to create a breakfast experience that is both unique and profoundly satisfying. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with the diner’s unmistakable local charm, enhanced by the friendly service that made me feel right at home. The ambiance, a blend of the cozy and the communal, set the perfect stage for what was to be an unforgettable meal. The Premier League playing softly in the background added a touch of camaraderie, reminiscent of a neighborhood café where everyone is welcome. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the food. The Egg Saints #33 was a revelation, transforming the classic eggs Benedict into a dish that captivated my palate and left me pondering the culinary prowess behind it.Every bite was a testament to Russell’s commitment to quality and innovation, making it clear why this diner holds a special place in the hearts of New Orleans’ residents and visitors alike. In a city lauded for its vibrant food scene, claiming the title of "best breakfast" is no small feat.Yet, as I left Russell’s Marina Diner, I was already yearning to return and dive deeper into their menu. This hidden gem is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience the soul of New Orleans through its food, served with a side of unmatched hospitality.“
“Sometimes you wonder about these viral places, and I can confirm they’ve earned every bit of those glowing reviews. The fried pickles appetizer, so were the PoBoys. Can’t remember the last time I’ve had shrimp that good. And the fried pickles were bursting with flavor. Service is awesome, people are friendly.“
“Cute and clean place with great atmosphere! We ordered pupusas, plato paisa, dessert and drinks. We left only empty plates there. Everything was delicious. Pupusas with the warm sauce-amazing! Grilled meats and shrimp-perfect, thick and tasty flan, refreshing rice water! Thank you for all.P.S. This place has All day menu and pictures of the food in the menu - this is very helpful.“
“We went Tuesday night for a date night and our server James was awesome. Very attentive, engaged in conversation, and was very awesome for our first time there. He took very good care of us and acknowledged us about the menu. Will be back to visited and be served by him. His co workers were also very generous and had smiles on all their faces. Highly recommended“
“I was in the mood for some gumbo & stopped here after reading reviews. The reviews don't lie - their gumbo was Sooooo good! The best I've had with perfectly cooked sausage, shrimp, & chicken and just the right amount of kick. I loved that the combo came with grilled cheese & potato salad; it was the perfect balance. We also ordered the lobster mash and it was delicious! I only got a few bites before my husband devoured it. We'll definitely visit next time we're in NOLA.“
“We had salty oysters, oysters on the half shell, Gator bites, and crawfish meatballs. Everything was delightful, but we were surprised that they can't count to 12. We were shorted one oyster, and at the price they charge, that's a big deal. When we called it to their attention, they graciously brought us the one we were missing plus one extra. All in all we had a great experience. Our waiter was top notch, thr atmosphere great, and Bryon was a delight to visit with.“
“The food and atmosphere is incompatible!!! I love my gumbo and the Bayou burger (the meat patty is flavorful!) The ice cream cake (Mile high pie) is a bit pricy but I really love having sweets while enjoying the music (My friend doesn't like the mint flavor in the strawberry ice cream but I like it) relaxing atmosphere, The best combination of tasty food, and jazz music!“
“It was my first time there, and I must say absolutely pleased. My reservations were accomdated fully. Our server was AMAZING, I wish I knew his name to give kudos. Steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Cocktails were priced well and were wonderful. Overall, it was a really great experience.“
“Food was great, server was attentive. The host, however sucked. Gave our names, ordered drinks and waited. Well, they crossed us off the waiting list somehow and dont know what happen. At least when i told them after 45minutes of waiting, they immedietly gave us the next table. “
“Cool little town, we stopped in for lunch. I'm not a seafood fan, but they have chicken strips, and it was great. Attentive staff, nice location. Perfect place to go when the majority of our group loves seafood and I'm the odd one who doesn't, it was easy to find something I liked.“
“First time here. And it was extraordinary! Was traveling for business and invited out by the people I was with. Parking is easy, get reservations early, and the atmosphere is what you want. People are there to enjoy the food without it being loud.“
“I visit New Orleans food and Spirits in Metairie when I come to New Orleans. I've never have a bad meal when I eat here ....Im partial to the voodoo rolls it's a crawfish cheese and some other seasoning....it's always good.i had a cup of gumbo last night with my rolls I was satisfied.....if your not a big eater then share your rolls with one other person then get your meal....the oysters were good as well“
“My husband and I are Thai food lovers so we like to try new Thai restaurants in every part of the city — we went to go see the Monet exhibit and decided to stop by Good Catch Thai Urban Bistro. The food is top notch! We really enjoyed our meal including my jumbo lump crab curry entree and my husband’s Tom Yum Noodle soup entree. We also ordered several appetizers and all were very good with fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back!“
“Such a cute place! We were going to eat at another restaurant near by, but they couldn’t accommodate. Walked to Vals and they were so quick! The food and drinks were amazing and the staff were so sweet! Definitely want to come back with some friends when I visit again.“
“Excellent customer service! Excellent food! We ordered to-go & picked up for a large family gathering. Lots of food preferences & dietary restrictions and Zea was the perfect answer. Seafood was fresh and well seasoned. Vegetables were perfectly prepared as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“This food was a TOTAL GAME CHANGER!!! Me and family ordered 6 different dishes,‘literally everything WAS AMAZING!! I ordered garlic Parm Lamb chops!! I've never been so happy to give someone my money in my life!!! Customer service: 100/100. Food:10000,10000 Taste: 15,000-15,000“
“My wife and I have really grown to love the Metairie Carrabba’s. When it originally opened years ago, we went once and were not impressed so despite leaving nearby we never went back. A friend mentioned it maybe 6-months ago and she swore it was pretty good so we gave it another chance and we are glad we did. We now maybe go 3 times or so a month. We had one problem with a server lately and I asked for a manager and Blake promptly solved the issue and took care of us the rest of the night. The food has always been very good, the service pretty quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Mel and Sara but with the exception of that one night the service has always been great too. I recommend Carrabba’s for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their “wine dinners” are also a hit for us. It’s nice to have somewhere close to home that you know is rock solid on the food & service. Thanks to Blake and his team!“
“The food is so delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Friendly people and clean. Prices are very reasonable. We definitely are repeat customers. You have to try them and you will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy!!Parking: Plenty of parking spacesKid-friendliness: Kids get hungry too!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy in and out“

“This was my first time here and it was amazing! The bbq ribs fell off the bone and the collard greens were flat out delicious!! I would definitely recommend! The portions are great for the price too. The staff was really friendly and the service was fast. It is cash only so bring some with you, you won’t be disappointed.“
“they have great food, the best roast beef po boy I've ever had. I also really like the chicken parmesan and the veal parmesan. the plates come with salad vegetable and bread very large portions. it is definitely worth the drive if you do not live in the neighborhood. they also have a nice selection of beers in the cooler“
“We stopped here on our way out of town on vacation because I still hadn't tried a po boy. I have no idea of these are authentic, but they were amazing! I got the shrimp and fried green tomato with roumalade, and I am going to be thinking about that sandwich for a long time. We also tried the boudin balls and the red beans and rice, and those were great as well. Affordable, fun ambiance with all the football memorabilia. Would definitely be eating here once a week if I lived in the area!“
“We went there on the afternoon of 2/3/24. Mom had been wanting to try it and I actually thought they were closed on Saturdays but we drove by just in case and found them to be open. Atmosphere is, eh. There were no lemons for the sweet tea and they ran out of regular fries for my order so I had to substitute with sweet potato fries. But the burger made up for anything that might have been lacking. That burger was so flavorful and hot and juicy! One of THE best burgers I've had in a long time! It tasted like something I would have made at home. I really appreciated how good it was. And the sweet potato fries were piping hot! I'd go again.“
“We had never tried crawfish and were a little nervous about what to do. The first person that helped us was great. She gave us some crawfish to try. The second person was also great. He showed us how to peel them and helped us order the right amount. It was delicious. Someone came in while we were eating and said that it was the best crawfish he’s ever had. I’ll take his word for it!“
“Felt like home. Very old school restaurant, specializing in Louisiana Seafood. The building is older, but very clean and well maintained. The entire staff was very friendly. From the hostess, to the young bus boys, to our server. Everyone had a smile. My wife had the humongous stuffed crap platter, and I had a BBQ shrimp po-boy. Everything was delicious and arrived hot. The portions are large enough to be shared, we took food home.Restaurants aren’t cheap anywhere these days. But we felt that this was a good value. We will be back.Forget the chains. This is an authentic N'awlins restaurant, from the food to the setting. Take your out of town guests here. Better yet, grab your mom and ‘nem. They will love it.Kid-friendliness: Seemed very kid friendly. The next table had three kids. Their server was talking to the kids all through the meal.“
“My sister was visiting from California & I picked her up in NOLA; we both wanted some good cajun food, but no tourist traps! Williams seafood did not disappoint, it's been 3-4 months now & I cannot recall exactly what we ordered, but I know two fantastic po-boys (probably a shrimp & half shrimp/oyster) & a couple of cups of fabulous Gumbo & a fried appetizer (pickles I think) appeared on or table in exchange for a mere ~$37... WOW! Good bye forever to stupid, overpriced touristy joints when I'm visiting NOLA. Williams seems to be a locals joint, as many patrons came in & were immediately greeted by first name. Williams deserves high-praises: friendly/locals type of service with first-name recognition, excellent quality food prepared well &all for a reasonable price, I will be back! I also recommended Williams to my youngest son & his girlfriend when they were in NOLA a few weeks later & they both said it was awesome!. It's counter service for ordering & a bit of a smaller seating area, but our food came out quick, hot & fresh with no seating or or other negative issues - give Williams a try, you won't be disappointed.“
“Lundigras day . They were getting slammed but were polite and honest about wait times for food . I had a beer and the wait time was only 45 minutes. No quality decline on the roast beef bo boy in spite of the crowd. Onion rings a must. Old school establishment where everyone knows each other. Priceless. Glenn“
“The steaks were perfectly cooked! This was a take out order but the ambience was chill, relaxing and yet fun when I picked up my food! Highly recommend!Parking: Metairie on vetsWheelchair accessibility: The elevator and ramps are ideal if you need wheelchair accessibility!“
“Was my first time trying the restaurant I was in for out of town for work and a local suggested I give them a try and they definitely were on point with the turkey wing with the rice and gravy candy yams were great also will definitely be back if I am ever close “
“It's a very small place but the food and service definitely make up for it. I got the baked spaghetti with sweet peas and fried wings and my wife got a fried shrimp on bun with onion rings. Absolutely delicious. And definitely get the watermelon punch!! Will definitely be “
“Delicious! They were very busy but well staffed. Server took her time with us as we were new to the menu offerings. Ended up with gumbo, Po’ Boy and an off menu offering that would be similar to their pita dip with shrimp but in a pizza style format. Couldn’t have gotten a better experience if I tried.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available“
“Came thru one nite after my husband and I attended a wedding. I wish I had pic but I didn't order anything for me really. Just ate off my husband's roast beef po-boy that was nice size and good, my daughter had the cheese sticks they sell. Lordy!!! Definitely have to get some with any order. Lightly battered and so cheesy with authentic mozzarella! Open late for whatever your need may have been. We door dashed it to our hotel and their food was hot and fresh untampered with and still good for them to eat.“
“My only regret is not finding this spot sooner! I'm in town a few times a month and just happened to drive by and stop today. First off the waitress (Mrs. Lisa) was amazing! Super friendly and sweet! drink never ran out before I had another sitting beside it. I ordered the fried craw claws and the swamp platter. It was all cooked fresh and came out very quick. Seasoning was on point! very large portions (no chance you're leaving hungry) This is the first restaurant in the area I give a 10 out of 10. let's face it most NOLA restaurants rush food in and out and season just enough to get by because of the tourists! I'll be seeing you again Mrs. Lisa! (side note her husband is also a Dolphins fan so make that 11 out of 10 stars)“
“On the way to the New Orleans International Airport, we wanted to eat some genuine Louisiana food. We found Deanie's and it turned out to be a great place to eat. We will eat there again the next time we go to New Orleans.Kid-friendliness: My grandson loved the food.“
“Came in today and got their special of the day - the spaghetti. It was really good. Packed with flavor and very satisfying. Also had the mixed vegetables that were great as well. The service was great, everyone was kind and welcoming. I got mines to go, but there's a decent amount of seating inside. It's a very chill place to go to and relax while you eat. I'll definitely be back. I keep hearing about these seafood egg rolls, which I'll get on my next visit. Please go out and support these good people.“
“We wanted crawfish for a company boil. NOT only did Brandon work with me for 3 weeks while we changed the date and the amount. But he also went in early to boil and have it ready before they opened. The price was great for the amount we got too. Staff was friendly and welcomingWe can't wait for the next boil event! They team loved the food Thanks again Brandon and team!“
“Fleming's Steakhouse was my choice to celebrate a birthday for my friend. Everyone from the door, to management, to wait staff acknowledged her special day. Outstanding! The service and food really topped off the occasion. Our steak was just what was ordered and shareable sides were excellent. Prices are a little higher but there are a variety of menu items to choose. Great night out!!“
“Located in the heart of Harahan, Bobby's Seafood emerges as a cherished destination for those in pursuit of genuine Louisiana culinary delights. This seafood sanctuary offers both aficionados and casual diners a chance to indulge in the state's rich flavors through its market-style presentation of fresh and expertly boiled seafood, alongside classic po' boys filled with shrimp, oyster, catfish, and even roast beef.Bobby's is more than just a seafood market; it's a warm, family-operated gem where the essence of Louisiana-style cooking is celebrated daily. The space is unpretentious yet inviting, prioritizing the quality of its offerings and the satisfaction of its guests over elaborate decor. With its reasonable pricing and commitment to top-notch seafood coupled with exceptionally welcoming service, Bobby's Seafood stands as a must-visit spot for anyone craving an authentic taste of Louisiana, be it for a quick bite or a sumptuous Cajun feast. My recent visit to Bobby's Seafood for their much-acclaimed boiled crawfish turned out to be a gastronomic success story. I got a hefty five-pound order, from which I meticulously peeled 136 tails, encountering only one questionable contender – a testament to the quality and care put into each batch. This endeavor yielded an impressive 27.2 tails per pound, a figure that speaks volumes about the generous portions and the meatiness of the crawfish served at Bobby’s.The fruits of my labor were twofold: two cups of succulent crawfish tails ready to be transformed into various delectable recipes and sixteen cups of rich crawfish shells, earmarked for a flavorful stock. This not only promised future culinary delights but also showcased the value and sustainability inherent in my purchase, allowing me to maximize every ounce of my order.Bobby's Seafood delivers on the promise of well-cooked, perfectly spicy crawfish. The seasoning was masterfully balanced, offering that sought-after kick without overwhelming the palate or igniting a firestorm in your mouth. It's a spicy equilibrium that enhances rather than masks the natural, sweet flavor of the crawfish. My experience at Bobby’s Seafood was overwhelmingly positive, marked by high-quality seafood and the kind of hearty, flavorful meal that leaves you planning your next visit before the first has even concluded.“
