“This is probably only my 6th time eating here, but I really wanted to take a minute to give this place some praise. Since they don’t have a comment/survey option, a (public) google review will suffice and perhaps help to bring more people to other door. I do hope this business finds great success as I believe it is well-deserved. I am beyond impressed with a fast food chain for “Louisiana” food that can actually produce really delicious versions of my down-home favorites. Although dining out (even fast food) is a bit out of my budget most of the time these days, I do find them to be reasonably priced. Additionally, the staff at my Hammond location has also been so very courteous and friendly every time. And, they really are FAST food, but it is real food, real beef, real fish, and shrimp and sausage, actual quality ingredients, not just processed mush shaped to pretend to be real food. So far, I’ve tried and can recommend their fried catfish, French fries, hush puppies, homemade onion rings, hot roast beef poboy, red beans and rice, and their gumbo. Each of these items could stand head to head with my other local eateries’ versions, but what is extra surprising is that they have pulled this off in a drive thru chain restaurant format. Kudos to the founders and kudos to your Hammond staff! Thanks for the yum!

Dietary restrictions: As much as I’m impressed with this place, since google asked, their dishes can be too salty for my very salt-sensitive (& medically restricted) father’s palette. However, I do not share that opinion.
Also, in case you’re not from Louisiana and reading this review, I generally don’t think of Louisiana food as being super friendly to dietary restrictions, but I haven’t reviewed this establishment’s menu options with this question in mind.

“PICKY EATER ALERT! so we ordered the shrimp/snow crab bag( came with corn, potato, sausage, boiled egg) and ordered it with sauces mixed. (Cajun, garlic butter,lemon pepper) OMG SOOOOOOOO GOOD. well seasoned, hot and prepared exactly the way I ordered. Hubby got the shrimp/fish basket, came with fries. crispy fries seasoned. fish and shrimp flavorful, hot and a good quantity. If you answered yes to #1 great they have so many great and unique options to choose from! If you answered no to #2, that's great because this place will leave you Stuffed! for sure after your done. The experience made me a couch potato! Haha. The best part is if you answered yes to #3, then you gotta check them out! For everything you get, you will still have enough left over to get some dessert. So grab your keys and start heading their way!“

“Our first trip there. The food was delicious. I had fried catfish with fried rice. It was cooked perfectly. My sister had fried shrimp with sweet potato fries. Again cooked to perfection. Whitney was our server. She was so attentive. We wanted oysters, but they were out until later today. The have fresh shucked oyster's. We definitely will get them next trip. The owner Miss Sara came an talked to us about our experience. They all made us feel like we were important to them. Some places make you feel like a bother. Not here. The price for the amount of food was incredible too. Can't wait till next time. Thank y'all so much.“
