“This was one of the best meals I have had in south central Louisiana. It was definitely worth the drive to Thibodaux. I had the fried catfish "chips" with coleslaw. The fish was cooked perfectly, the tartar sauce delicious, and the coleslaw was refreshing. My friend had fried oyster poboy with sweet potato fries - very good! This is a small downtown restaurant with excellent service. The inside was small, comfortable, and a little upscale for the area. I would definitely eat here again if in the area. Took a walk afterwards around the downtown neighborhood. It was a busy place!“
“The food never disappoints but the service is not great. The last time I went with my family, the waitress was asking if we wanted to-go boxes 10 minutes after we got our meal. While we were waiting for our dessert that we were taking to-go, I was offered a water refill, which I never got. After the 15 minutes wait for dessert, the waitress walks out with only my dessert, no to-go box for my son’s food that we asked for 3 times. Needless to say, my son didn’t get to bring home his leftovers.“
“Stopped at Off the Hook to get lunch. Got the shrimp and chicken tenders platter, wife got just the tenders platter. As always, the chicken was very tender and seasoned correctly. Shrimp was great also. Consistently good, great service, clean comfy restaurant. Highly recommend.“
“Not sure why my details got deleted on first post but here it is:First time going there after living in Lafourche parish most of my life! Definitely gonna be our regular stop when we back home ! Seafood platter was delicious, kind friendly service ! Minimal wait for food to be ready considering it’s cooked to order & the place was busy on a Friday night ! Loved everything“
“Stop here based of reading about it in a bayou food trail website. It did not disappoint! We went with some apps due to plans for other stops through the day. The voodoo shrimp was amazing. We also had the jalapeño hush puppies and some chicken and sausage gumbo. Could not go wrong with any of these dishes.“
“We had an amazing time here at Gina's. Our food was delicious and fresh. For an appetizer we had onion rings and a cup of crab corn soup. The onion rings are really thin and crispy , which is so delicious! The cup of soup was a bit cheesy. For the meal I had a shrimp poboy and a piece of my mom's catfish! ( How could I not ! It's fresh Louisiana catfish ) Absolutely DELICIOUS!The shrimp on my poboy and the fish gave me a very similar taste to how the fried shrimp and fish used to taste like at politz. I was so happy about that. We were told by the waitress at politz that they no longer serve Louisiana catfish. Which was really sad to hear , and taste. With this visit at Gina's at the Legion I now no longer have to worry about what place to go to get some good ole Louisiana seafood when I'm back in town. When I was younger Gina used to run a snowball stand that us all in St. Charles Community would support. It was great to continue to support her restaurant. Thank you Gina for all of your great dishes and memories that came along with them.“
