“Herradura is an authentic Mexican cuisine restaurant in the heart of Houma. 4 stars for being on the pricey side and for the margaritas being from a premix rather than made to order. For a restaurant it is quite bright in there, but we always get exceptional service and the bathroom, although covered in graffiti, is always nice and clean. As far as the food itself, it's always consistent, and always very good. The rice is lacking but they more than make up for it in portion size. There is no closing of the dining room between lunch and dinner which is nice if you stop in for a bite at an odd time of day. Overall one of our favorites. We“
“Great tasting crawfish and shrimp. Not too spicy! The service can be fast but also a lil slower depending on the time you go and how many are in line. You have to drive thru ONLY. But I like it. Good location. Employees are always very friendly.“
“Great little seafood place. My husband had the boiled shrimp with sausage and potatoes. He approved and is picky. I had fried shrimp platter. Cornmeal batter and even batter and fried corn! Delicious. Tried the pepper jack boudin balls as well. Very good with good meat ratio. Definitely worth the stop during our road trip!“
“Just about the cheapest in town all the time. Quick in and out even without calling first. If you want to stay and chat, they welcome that too, lol! Crawfish were very clean and they give you options on sizes. Also, you have the option on exactly how many pounds you want in the sack. You don't even have to have a sack, they can dump them straight into your ice chest if you like. Definitely recommend!“
“My wife and my daughter and myself stopped her for a late birthday lunch for me. I ordered the catfish and white beans AND a 4 piece chicken with fries! My wife had a three piece chicken and my daughter got the seafood platter. Everything was excellent, the service was top notch and the food was fresh. Our server was super friendly and very patient. I attempted to eat all my food while there but I had to tap out. When I said out loud I couldn't eat another bite she said "I guess so with two plates of food!"? This place is off the beaten path but it is well worth the trip. Don't forget to try the bread pudding!“
“Great food... went for the cornbread recommendation and was impressed ?. But the real taste shocker was the Cajun Philly Cheesesteak.... ufff never thought finding one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks in Houma LA. I posted the hours and dates when it's open,“
“This take-out place has great seafood; whether crawfish, crab or shrimp, you won't be disappointed. They have specials daily. Boiled seafood is just the way I love it, not overly spiced up but still full of flavor. Just pull right up, make your order and it's filled quickly.“
“Super clean but it is on the small side and gets really busy around lunch. So show up early and you wont be disappointed. Prices where about the same as anywhere else in the area. Parking was a little sparse. But the food was amazing. Ate here repeatedly during my one week stay.“
“Small family run boiled and live seafood takeout located on the Little bayou Black in Houma, La. They serve in season seafood. The order/pickup counter is located on one end of the building and is standing room only. You can phone in your order and they give you a time to arrive for pickup. Now, the seasonings used by all local boiling restaurants is unique and different. The L & R seasoning is suited to the local area. It is heavy on things other than the standard powdered boil mix as they add other fresh ingredients to the boil. That said it is super tasty. They also have crab cakes, shrimp cakes and other specialty items. The oysters are shucked on premises and are good and cold and salty. If you like the best of the bayou style seafood try the platters in season like a pound of shrimp, sausage, corn and potato or in season the same with 2 pounds of crawfish. They have a crab platter or add a crab or two to any other platter. Hope you enjoy their seafood as much as we do.“

“04/01/24Glad we came across this lil gem. Cute decore. Excellent service and the food was very good. The crayfish pie was very flavorful. So wasn't the jambalaya. Ice tea was sweet and fresh. If I had to give a critique. It would be the French fries need to be crispy. Ours were soft. It's a busy spot for a good reason.“
“i've had take out from here, but this was my 1st time dining in,the restaurant was packed because it's Lent and it was a Friday night, our server was excellent, the food was delicious ?,i thought my softshell crab and oysters were a little darker than normal (maybe it was the grease),i enjoyed the shrimp patty, the rice was a little gummy in my gumbo, but the flavor was ok,the fried fish and shrimp looked and tasted wonderful, the oysters were fried the way i like them (not to crispy or hard)“
“I was determined to find the perfect shrimp po’boy while visiting Louisiana and this amazing little place delivered. We ended up making the detour two days in a row because I liked it so much. The shrimp po’boy was a revelation. Coming from the mountain west, I have never had popcorn shrimp that plump, fresh and perfectly battered. The fish sandwich I had the next day was equally good. And don’t just take my word for it — many of the diners appeared to be locals whose orders the manager already knew. She greeted everybody with friendliness and familiarity without sacrificing speed of service.I’m so glad we made this stop. If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in Houma, Louisiana, I hope you find your way to Bayou Blue Po-boys.“
