Loved the strawberry shortcake, the cake was moist, cream was very smooth, strawberries were fresh, the combo’s not overly sweet, would def order again!On the other hand, didn’t enjoy the matcha red bean one as much, the cake texture was more coarse, and there’s a savory taste that was a bit odd.Overall, the mini cake’s size is on the small side, with approx. $8 per piece, it’s slightly overpriced. However, the price for drinks were quite reasonable for Boston area, enjoyed my ice americano!“

“This is a hidden gem! We came in here after a bike ride for coffee and an egg sandwich. The egg sandwich was on a homemade biscuit and one of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had. “This is a cozy little bakery in Newton. There are a good variety of pastries and cakes offered. You don't need to order cakes ahead of time, as there were several on display and available when we went. Staff were friendly, plenty of street (metered) parking. Decent prices and the things we tried were delicious. The cookies and cream cake looked good and tasted great. The lobster tail was of decent size and the cream filling was excellent and not overly sweet or bland. I'd come here again for cakes and pastries.“
“I ordered a small birthday cake that serves 6 people. They nailed the design inspiration that I sent over, and the flavor/attention to detail was beautiful! We all loved it! I think the pricing was great too; got a high quality cake for $38.50.The bakery was really cute and it has street parking so no trouble there. I also bought additional cupcakes after I got there which was all neatly packaged (dont mind the mess I made after I took them out to take photos and replaced them back in haha) which were all equally as yummy as the cake. Will definitely be ordering from here again next time.The response time was great as I sent out a request online about 3 weeks in advance of the date but also on a day they were closed, and they got back to me as soon as the first business day that they were open during that week.“
“I walked in today and ordered a simple coconut cake for my husband’s birthday. The cake was ready in a couple of hours. Service was amazing, the lady who took the order was super nice and attentive; she also helped me a lot in selecting a cake. “As a celiac bride, I was worried that any cake safe for me would be unappealing to our guests. I’m so glad to be so wrong! Addie was super helpful at the tasting and made us an adorable cake to cut. We ordered lots of different flavors of mini cupcakes for our guests and they were such a huge hit that we didn’t get any! They were gone in ~30 seconds! Order more than you think you need, we probably could have gotten double what we ordered.“

No one would make it, others offered a lemon filling, but no icing!! I called Arthur’s it have been a decade correct more since I had been there, the baker was sweet, agreed to make this cake! “Continental is a great Italian bakery. Love the Italian rum birthday cake. Cannoli, lobster tails, baba rum, all delicious and reasonable prices. Crazy what people will pay just a couple miles down the road in the north end when they could come here and feed an army for what they pay at the more well known Boston bakeries. Ignore the idiot who complained about deposits on orders. He’s the type who would probably stiff them.“
“I went to the location for the first time and man I’m in LOVE!!!! I tried Red Velvet and chocolate chip!! Loved both of them! I couldn’t stop myself from finishing the whole cake. They are super dense and moist and just the way I prefer my cakes. The frosting was great too. Although I would suggest that different cakes should have different frostings instead of all having cream cheese. BUT that’s not gonna stop me from coming back here again! Just delicious!“

“I heard this bakery's pizza was amazing, so I had to try it. The pizza was very tasty. However, I was more impressed with the two young ladies serving me! Zoe and Amelia went over and beyond to make my first experience happen. That's the kind of business I want to return to, so that's exactly what I did the very next day. “Mike's Pastry is an iconic bakery originating out of Boston's North End neighborhood. They offer a variety of cookies and other baked goods, but they are especially known for their extensive selection cannoli. Mike's of course has the classic plain ricotta, but they also sell more unique cannoli such as amaretto, limoncello, and hazelnut. Moreover, there are some newer flavors such as pecan caramel, peanut butter, and mint chip. There is something for everyone. This Cambridge location is fairly new, but their baked goods are of the same high quality as the original location, but with slightly less inventory and without the obscenely long lines. My wife and I got some cannoli for breakfast and some cookies for the flight back home. They pipped our cannoli fresh. Not sure if that's a regular occurrence at this location, or if it's because I arrived close to opening. Regardless, it was delicious and our family/friends loved the cookies.“
