While the price point is a bit steep, the fish was fresh and delicious and the accompanying white beans, brown butter sauce and spinach were also delectable. I prefer the mushroom toast with the black garlic aioli and the broccoli rabe was a bit oily for my taste but, all in all, an excellent meal. I definitely miss Chef Andrew & his creativity but I remain pleased with the waitstaff and I adore Claire.“

“This is one of our favorite restaurants! The food and service are fantastic. Dan, John & Tony bring it every time - they are the A-Team! Last night we tried the “Meaty” Mushrooms and it was excellent! Mixed Fat Moon mushrooms, miso-roasted gilfeather turnips, herb-butter pan sauce, parsnip puree, crispy onion. I am a lover of wild mushrooms, and this dish is one of the best I’ve had. I love how they use farm fresh foods and change up their menu accordingly.“
“I went there for the first time a few weeks back and just loved this place. Small intimate restaurant with exceptional food and service. I had grilled octopus to start and had the seafood with homemade pappardelle, delicious. My SO had caprese salad with unbelievable mozzarella. They had the stripped bass which was delicious. We ended with some sambucca, espresso and tartufo. Great evening. My only comment is that seating for 2 is mostly at the bar or high tops near the bar (especially on Friday). We sat in the front near the window and I didn't feel like I was in the restaurant. Otherwise a great time and restaurant.“
“A very detailed review from someone who has eaten a lot of tapas!Outstanding bartender! I’ve been a bit disappointed lately when I go into high-end cocktail bars, and they don’t have ingredients I need for making my favorite drinks. Not only was this bartender excellent and knowledgeable, but as I was naming my favorite drink, he knew it, and he loved it as well. I ordered off the menu though, and enjoyed the “kitty’s got claws” because I am a big Mezcal fan and it looked interesting. It was beautifully balanced.Then I saw him making what I thought was a corpse reviver, and we talked a bit about that, and I was thrilled that he knew how to make one, so as I watched him making one for somebody else. I ordered it as my second drink. I know I’m supposed to be reviewing the food, and I will get to that, but a quality bartender, who is interesting and fun, and above all… Knowledgeable, is a very big part of an experience that has a full bar. Bravo, to this bartender! I only wish I remembered his name.On to the food. Interesting interpretation of tapas. Especially the cabbage, which was different than any presentation I have had before. A large piece, braised perfectly, with a creamy sauce. Patatas bravas were an interesting take as well. Often they are either too small with a bit of sauce smothered on them or they are too big and only spiced a little bit. These were a great size and they were seasoned, but did not have any sauce on them, which is wonderful. And then there was some romesco sauce (made of tomatoes and roasted red peppers, and usually almonds) on the side; a really great interpretation of this classic Spanish dish. (Note that a typical bravas sauce has smoked paprika and tomato paste) and I really enjoyed the romesco as a nice change. We also had a lamb slider, which was big enough for lunch for one person. So keep that in mind when ordering. It was actually halfway between the size of a slider and a regular burger. Also, the homemade focaccia was very fluffy! The rosemary butter is a good compliment.Atmosphere is cute. Loud and bustling and definitely not the type of place that is quiet and you can hear the forks clinking. Really great vibe. Wonderful neighborhood place. We lived in JP for years and raised our kids here and it was great to come back and see this new (to us!) restaurant in the neighborhood.“

Short Rib Ravioli is unreal, food is fairly priced for Boston, and the quality they deliver is unmatched. “This restaurant has been a fixture on Route 20 in Wayland since the 1930’s (formerly known as the ‘Red Coach Grill’)! My fiance and I have driven by countless times and always say how we would love to stop in one day for a meal, well, we finally did and after dinner agreed this was easily one of the best meals we’ve had so far in 2024!The inside of the restaurant is so warm and welcoming with dark wood and leather throughout and when we were seated by the fireplace, that is attended to all night, we were introduced to our server, Andrea, who has worked at the Coach Grill for 23 years! She shared some of the lore of the restaurant and guided us through the menu pointing out popular dishes and her favorites, many that are original recipes (like the corn pudding, Andrea told us that people come just for that side dish!)Here’s a rundown of our order:- NEGRONI - gin, campari, vermouth- MAINE LUNCH IPA- CALAMARI MILANO - fried or grilled, garlic, parmesan, basil aioli (order this ‘grilled’ - the calamari and peppers are put in a grill basket over charcoal and it is a gamechanger, I may never order fried calamari again!)- BEEF WELLINGTON - filet mignon, mushroom duxelles, sauce périgueux- BONE-IN RIBEYE with GREEN BEANS and CORN PUDDING- CISCO BREWERS GREY LADY- PROFITEROLES - pate a choux puff, ice cream, chocolate sauceThe servings were large and so delicious, we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and leftovers the next night! We enjoyed the dishes overall and appreciated that you could get a glimpse into the kitchen from the dining room. What we ordered: - Tuna crudo: Interesting flavors. The fish tasted fresh but could have used some more acidity. - Fried hen-of-the-woods mushrooms: Nice, crisp, and well seasoned. - Sautéed heirloom carrots: The carrots were nicely cooked but the glaze was a bit too sweet. - Seared scallops: The scallops were perfectly seared and paired well with the lentils and sauce. - Phyllo-wrapped cod: We were surprised how crispy this was even though it was sitting in the sauce. The lobster stew was full of flavor. One of our favorites of the night. - Seafood risotto: The risotto was well cooked but the dish could have included more seafood. - Lemon pepper half chicken: The juices of the chicken soaked into the beets to make a delicious bite.“

She came and asked again can she get me something different I explain to her why Im willing to keep it . As I just came back from a mission in South Africa. And saw some many people without food. And it breaks my heart to waste food. She understood my feeling and allow me to take the food to give to a homeless person. Then, Dami convinced me to get a different pasta dish name Fettuccine alla Bolognese. This was so good and I was very happy that she convince me to try it. ?? So my sister enjoyed Arancini ball dish with pink vodka sauce which was amazing. We both will order this next time we come. My sister main dish was salmon with a creamy rice sauce and artichokes. She said it was good. After eating all this...We decided on cannolis and tiramisu as our dessert. Then, Dami the manger came out with a big dessert platter. That surprised us with cannolis had a delicious creamy inside, and tiramisu was delicious. Which is one of my favorite dessert. She also add a slice of cheesecake with a blueberry sauce. Yummy Yummy! “Everything was amazing! The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all on point. Denise was a fantastic server with great recommendations. Definitely request her when you make a reservation. Management stopped by our table to check in and make sure we were enjoying everything. The steaks were incredible. I got a flat tire pulling into the parking lot, so Joe and Zach both went above and beyond to change my tire. I had the best experience possible. If you are going to have more than 1 glass of wine it is definitely worth it to get a bottle price wise than get a couple single glasses. It can get pretty busy since it is a small establishment. They let us stand and enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for a seat to open up which I thought was very nice. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of wine, I enjoyed the wine that was recommended to me. There us no table service - you go to the counter to order which I don’t mind. There is an automatic fee applied to your bill that serves as the tip.“
