“Just had dinner with my friend Christine at the Mooring. Her Steak Tips and the entire meal was perfect and so was my Turkey Tip dinner. The server was very cheerful, friendly and took care of the entire bar, Drinks, Food, Keno everything! Absolutley awesome job. Compliments to the Chef, he apologized because it took a bit long but there was no need, It was delicious.“

“Okay, my loves.Ostra is a place where I thought my proposal would happen simply because the atmosphere is something that came out of a movie.Tall ceiling, impeccable placement of tables and chairs, and attentive service by both the host and staff. I was at awe and felt like a queen. Thank you for bringing upscale seafood dining to Boston.We made dinner reservations (highly recommend) for a group dinner for Friday at 5:30PM. By 6:30PM all tables were filled. I had the seafood paella, and it was absolutely delicious! ? My partner had the monkfish, and that was the best prepared fish I've ever had!!Side note, their horseshoe plate is quite beautiful in person. The photo doesn't do it justice.Parking: Ostra is located on a busy intersection, definitely not safe for little children crossing on their own. Parking is a pain, but save time and park it in the garage.“

“Octopus was fabulous, calamari... not so much. Scallops a La Plancha were delicious, Bolognese - just meh. Server left empty glasses on the table a bit longer than I would have liked and our table was directly inside the door from the bar so it was pretty loud. All in all it was good / fine / what I would expect in Boston at that price point - but not a standout.“

“When you don't go the restaurant often, every 6 months or so, and see the same wonderful service people such as Aemon at the bar and Isiah for dining and they remember you, you know that you have a great team. Once again the branzino was cooked to perfection as was the filet medallions and shrimp special. “This is a cash only restaurant. There's only around 20 seats but we were able to walk in on a Sunday around lunchtime.They'll serve you bread as soon as you sit down. The house salad is super fresh and the veggies are crispy. Greater starter if you're wanting some greens. The black pasta and linguines are also good choices to order. They are served in the same pan used to cook the dish! The seafood platter was decent but not worth the price in my opinion. I'll probably just stick to the noodle/pasta dishes going forward.“

Chowder was creamy and had great fillings. The lobster mac & cheese had a good amount of lobster in it! There were several large chunks at the bottom of the bowl which was awesome - felt like we got our money's worth. There was a bit of a line but it moves quickly! There are communal seating options in the middle of the market and upstairs!“

We both had a martini and the presentation was great. We had the lobster dumplings which were light and delicious. And the steak was prepared exactly how we ordered it.
