“An eclectic place for adult leisure and drink, with plenty of nooks to be private in, or converse in the open bar area with a crafty side-store. Expect delicious cocktails at the high-end cocktail price that seems fair for the quantity and content selection. Would love another hour on the close time as well. This place would only get three stars (see below) but I really love the vibe of the place. ***Fair Warning *** We noted that there was an interesting menu of food to choose from online in various places. Why are there no photos of these delicacies? Such a menu did not unexplainably exist on this weekend eve, and our hungry crew made do with some small apps that were drummed up. Not great.“

“Very busy on a Friday early evening, parking challenging as their lot was full at 5:30, and side streets are mostly one way, but that's Holyoke. Service was exemplary - everything came out quickly. My companion had striped bass, a special, and said it was wonderful . I had the short rib which was outstanding despite a bit of fat, which is to be expected. Fried oysters great, flourless chocolate torte very good. Good selection of wine by the glass, and unusually generous pour. Atmosphere lively, pretty loud in the bar area, but nonetheless fun.So nice to have a place like this in downtown. Will return for sure.“
“REALLY NICE! I love an improvisational Manhattan, what can I say? And the lady barkeep on duty gave me something so nice, so smoky, so spicy... it was great! Yes, the place is tiny, that's why they call it "gigantic". I'm sure the folks running the place would love to have, and fill, a larger venue but it is what it is. The decor is interesting too, all sorts of antique crystal and photographs of long-past Presidents and a book wall full of quaint books. The only problem is that they have no parking area and the on-street parking is mighty sparse.“

“This was such a hidden gem! I almost walked past it, but the glittering lights inside brought me in and they did NOT disappoint! The food was delicious and the staff were super knowledgeable about the spice levels of various dishes, suggesting food for each of our preferences! We had the queso fundito which was DELICIOUS (it was a mild spice for most, but a little too spicy for me to order again lol), and I had the loaded nachos with carnitas and they were some of the best nachos I have ever had! The nachos were extra interesting because they are full tortillas, not tortilla chips, that the toppings were placed on, and the carnitas were super mild on spice! The only thing that was a little lackluster was the drinks were quite sweet, so if you are someone who wants a more sour than sweet margarita, I would recommend asking for it less sweet. Overall, this was such an amazing restaurant and I will definitely be coming back here again and again!“

“I drive by this place numerous times a day and always though its just a seedy dive bar for local drunks. I was wrong. This place is great and has so much character. They don't skimp on the alcohol and the food was surprisingly good. They even have a comedy night every Thursday where you can see local comics bomb or do really well. You never know what you'll get, that's what makes open mics fun. I was pleasantly surprised by The Nook.“
