“Quality food, good ambience. Our standby for 40 years had been Ikaros a block away, but the owner had to close due to health problems. This was recommended to us as the new best, and it didn’t disappoint. Wine, saganaki and moussaka were all incredible. Wish I had tried the calamari. Only thing that was not incredible was the bread served at table. I’m a bread snob, and while this wasn’t awful, it was merely ok. I would have preferred a thicker, fresher bread and olive oil for dipping, or traditional greek flat bread.“
“This was the best food I have eaten in Baltimore in a long time! Absolutely authentic Greek Cuisine. Simple delicious salads Excellent octopus Great kabobs and tzatziki Friendly service. I just can’t say enough positive things about this place!“
“Probably my favorite restaurant in the city, of course they make excellent greek food but its the people and location that really do it for me. The owner is always on the grill cooking up heat, but he constantly stops to say hello to the neighborhood regulars who all know each other. The servers have clearly all been working here for a long time, testament to the type of place the owner is running and theyre all the sweetest people. I only ever go when im in the area, by no means a regular and still i feel like a part of the neighborhood every time i go. As far as the food goes, ill just say that ive never been inside and not heard people speaking greek to each other- id wager a big portion of their customers are greek immigrants who know what good greek food is and this is where they eat.Samos is a true Baltimore gem, i love the food and place but i really love the people behind the food.“
“I got a chicken pita wrap with Greek fries and both were so good! The wrap was super packed with everything, very filling and stuffed with toppings for such a small looking pita! Everything was wrapped nicely and nothing got soggy despite delivery. I just wish the fries were covered in some sauce, while the cheese and the flavors are great, they're kinda minimal and they don't give the fries the drenched feel I was looking for. I'll probably try a different side next time!“
“We love Everything about Cypriana! They treat their customers like family! Large parties - no problem! Great food all made fresh and authentic recipes! Love this place and their staff! Recommend it to all my family and friends! We just had a rehearsal dinner for over 50 guests there and it was fantastic! The DiPietro/Fischer Wedding! Thank you to Chef Maria Kaimakis and Vassos Yiannouris Family!“
“A fantastic find! We wandered in on a Thursday night without a reservation and were seated promptly. The food arrived quickly and was quite delicious. Our waiter Raphael was very attentive and a pleasant conversationalist. We enjoyed the stuffed calamari, Dover sole, and lobster pasta. All were very delicious. I elected to filet the Sole myself, but please note that it does come bone-in. The stuffed calamari is not the little calamari bites, but is the size of a chicken breast. The lobster pasta is very fresh, and the sauce has a sweet acidity that is to die for. Will return again!“
“We love this place! The food is always good and the workers here are always friendly. A little on the pricey side but never been disappointed with the food or quality.Parking: It’s in a shopping center with tons of parking on either side of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Should have no problems with accessibility here.“
“Have been to Samos a few times, and each visit we've only appreciated their food (and service) more and more, with the most recent visit a few days ago which prompted this review. To start with, the tzatziki, which was creamy and delicious with the fresh cucumber and pita slices. Also as a side their amazing roasted potatoes which were just the best. And as a main, the special cod pita wrap was fresh and just a perfect balance of flavors and textures, along with their grilled shrimp skewer platter, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It's such a pleasure returning to a local eatery that serves delicious well prepared and CONSISTENT food, thanks Samos!“
“Okay, hands down, blew my mind. Gotta try everything here because I think I've got the cravings for some bomb a** Baltimore Greek food. Tried the chicken and beef skewers with the little breads and the flavors exploded in my mouth. I shared this with a buddy of mine so we each tried a bit of everything. We each also had a gyro at the Paul, the owner's suggestion. Dude, bro, dude bro.... I've been around the world eating gyros and nothing compares. Who would've thought a stand in a food court could have such delicious Greek food. Very unassuming spot because you have to find it first in the food court. But once you do find it, it's like being put back in time to the days of lore. I'd give another star if I could just for the tsaziki sauce. Not sure how to spell that but....6 stars!! After the meal, we said, "why not try some dessert?!" Had an order of the pastries, baklava, and it was huge and perfectly sweetened. Great meal, great service, and the owners are dope as hell!!“
“There's a chaotic good energy here. The food is terrific. Highly recommend the gyro, which is actually incredibly juicy pork cooked on the grill. It's not the kind that is shaved off the Kronos meat cone. The Zorba's fries are like cottage fries and delicious. The service is a little hectic. They don't use a POS, preferring to yell the orders while in the kitchen, which honestly I love, but it does mean that some items didn't come out so we had to ask. Will totally return. Great food. Good people, and I got to watch them in the kitchen and Greek news at the same time.“
“This restaurant is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Just had their spaghetti and meat sauce...yum! I get breakfast there every day I come to work in the city. Friendly staff, quick service and food is always hot! Definitely a place to choose!“
“Let’s start of with customer service. All that needs to be said is that this family genuinely cares about the food they make and the customers they serve. Never a long wait to get served and everyone is always very respectful. There’s a love that goes into every slice of lamb meat, every dollop of the tzatziki, and every spoonful of the rice pudding. As far as I know every thing is home made and it all goes crazy. The establishment itself is always super clean and it’s one of the few places on this block I can order in store, wait for the food, and eat the food there without questioning my life choices. Portions are very generous and reasonably priced and they take Apple Pay. Overall a very convenient, delicious and respectable Greek take out. I recommend the gyro platter, with the rice. Always with the rice.“
“I was told this place is a hole in the wall but that they have really good food, and upon seeing the place I will admit I was a little skeptical. Once we actually got our food, I was very pleasantly surprised! I haven't eaten much Greek food in my life, so in all fairness, I don't really have a lot to compare this to. When we arrived, we asked the woman taking orders what she recommends or what is popular among customers. She began to list off several items, including their shrimp salad and cheesesteaks. We eventually went with her recommendation of the chicken souvlaki with everything, which included chicken, tomatoes, red onion, and tzatziki sauce wrapped in a warm pita. We also ordered a side of fries. Everything was DELICIOUS! The chicken wasn't dried out and well seasoned. I'm not sure how "authentic" it was or how it would compare to other tzatziki sauces, but I absolutely loved it. It did not include any cucumber (which I thought was a key characteristic of tzatziki), but it was really garlicky and yummy all the same. The pita was fluffy and garlicky as well - it was probably my favorite part of the entire thing. I took a few bites of it on its own towards the end of my meal, and I was really disappointed I hadn't done it sooner. The fries were nice as well - they had some other seasoning on them beyond salt, which I always appreciate on my fries. They were on the thicker side and not very crispy, so if you like a crunchy fry these may not be for you. I am partial to soggy fries, so I really enjoyed them. I took a star off because I found the chicken pieces a little too big for eating in a wrap form like that, and they could have been more moist. There was also a lot of the tzatziki sauce, and I can see where some people might find it too much. I welcomed it as some extra dip for my fries, but it did make eating the pita a little difficult as I navigated around a glob of sauce. I'd like to come back to try some of the rest of their menu (it's HUGE - they have just about everything), but I'm also already jonesing for more of the chicken souvlaki. It's definitely a good stop for a lunch (TBD on breakfast!).“
“First and foremost Amy and Chris were awesome, I mean veryyy helpful. They definitely provided us with great suggestions and explained things very well (I tend to ask a lot of questions) lol. The atmosphere and view is very pleasant. However, given that the restaurant was not very full it would’ve been nice if we had better seats the tables are pretty small. So I would suggest that you ask for booth instead.Other than that thank you again Amy? and Chris you will do great there good luck to you ?“
“Stumbled across this place on a Saturday night while walking around in Mt. Vernon. It's clean, welcoming, and was bustling despite the late hour. It's a no frills place, exactly what you need on a late night :) Also love that they are open till 1am! We tried their greek gyro wrap and greek fries - both were yummy and filling enough to be shared between two. The wrap, fries and a drink cost $23.96The staff were very friendly and helpful despite it being busy a hour. We will definitely be back. Please continue to stay open late into the night!!“
“First time coming here and having their cheesesteak and curly fries man cheesesteak was on point the curly fries were on point everything was on point super cool people that work there got to give them a try I know I'm probably not the only one saying that but definitely if you're down off of light Street give Maria D's sub shop a “
“Food was fresh and delicious. The chicken was slightly salty but that wasn’t an issue when paired with the taziki sauce. The pork gyro was amazing. The owner was incredibly kind to me and my kids. We wandered in at 10:59 and she was so excited to see us despite the fact that she was still setting up. She checked in with me while cooking to adjust spices and explain things so my boys could palate each item which was kind. She was hoping we would eat in the restaurant since she wanted to “host us”. She said she gets hundreds of online orders but everyone is such in a rush all the time. I felt badly for taking the food to go! Next time we will stay. I have no doubt she will join us at the table.“
