“This was our first time ordering from Lee Deli. We ordered the wonton soup, General Tso's chicken with an egg roll, and the spare rib tips. The wonton soup was awesome, as was the General Tso's. We had no complaints with either of those items. The egg roll was crispy and good, but had one shrimp in the entire roll. The spare rib tips tasted so good but the amount of fat and bone was a bit unexpected based on other times I've had rib tips, though they also tasted really good. If you order delivery and pay with credit card, please be aware of all the extra costs. It should have been around 20 bucks, but after all the fees it was 33 which I think is a bit excessive. Also after the fact I noticed that I was charged more at pick up than the app stated... Overall well definitely order from them again, but will do pick up with cash. The food was good hence the four stars but I'd say two for transaction and lack of clarity with cost.“

“We love Oyster Mania Mondays at Pearl Dive! We make it a regular date night outing to indulge in dozens of half-priced, delicious, fresh, and cold oysters sourced from various locations. Additionally, I always order the incredibly tasty mussels served with toasted baguette slices to soak up all that delicious sauce. The staff consistently delivers friendly and attentive service too, which makes each visit enjoyable.“

“I recently planned a wedding reception at Dauphine's and it was incredible. The food, atmosphere and service was impeccable. The bride and groom were well taken care of, Courtney and Natalie were so easy to work with, communicative and really worked to listen to the couple's needs. It was such a fun, unique and beautiful space for a reception and provided numerous spaces to meet guest needs. The food was delicious and the staff were always on top of everything. I cannot recommend Dauphine's enough and cannot wait to go back for a delicious meal or an event!“

“I’d recommend this place just based on the food itself. I had calamari and a regular lobster roll with sweet potato fries and it was delicious! But the staff is what made Georgetown Seafood special. Right when we walked in (out of a huge rainstorm), a staff member put a towel by the door for us to place our umbrellas on while another staff member immediately found us a table to seat our big group. They took the time to make us feel like VIPs, even down to the extra treats they offered to us after our meal! The place is small, has steep/narrow stairs to the upper level (where the bathroom is located), but even with that I would 100% eat here again and again. Thanks Georgetown Seafood for a wonderful experience!!“

“This is a neighborhood bar within easy reach of DC tourists. The drinks are upper shelf and generous, the food is great. The crowd is mostly locals in this basement steak and cocktail restaurant, but I'd recommend it to anyone. I had the Greek salad with anchovies and grilled shrimp - very good.“

“The ambiance and food was immaculate! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made appropriate food recommendations for our party. I enjoyed the Shrimp Thermidor as a starter and Cumin Lamb as my entree. They were both delectable, I can't say one was better than the other. I'm ready to go back!“

“This is an expensive place, and with that comes high expectations. I wouldn't say they were met. The food was good, not great. I was not blown away like I hoped to be. I wanted more exciting flavors. It was almost bland. The service was good, again not great. I wished they asked me if I wanted a final drink before happy hour ended.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at what I can only describe as a top-tier steak house that exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed yet refined dining experience.Let's start with the steak, the pièce de résistance of any steak house. The steak here was simply sublime—perfectly seasoned and cooked to just the right degree of doneness, ensuring every bite was bursting with wonderful flavors. It's clear the chef knows their way around premium cuts of meat, treating each steak with the respect it deserves. The red grouper, a special of the day, was another highlight. Freshly caught that day, it tasted as if it had jumped straight from the ocean onto my plate. Its delicate flavor and perfectly flaky texture made it a delightful contrast to the robustness of the steak. The raw oysters were yet another testament to the kitchen’s dedication to freshness and quality. Each oyster was a taste of the sea, served chilled and accompanied by a mignonette sauce that accentuated rather than overwhelmed its natural flavors.Dessert was nothing short of spectacular. The chocolate cake was decadently rich and deeply satisfying, truly “the bomb” as promised. However, it was the cheesecake that took me by surprise. Different from any I’ve had before, it was uniquely delightful, with a creamy texture and a flavor profile that made it stand out as a memorable end to a fantastic meal.Adding to the overall enjoyment was the fact that the place was not crowded, allowing for a more intimate and attentive dining experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.I highly recommend this steak house to anyone looking for an exceptional meal. Whether you’re a steak aficionado or a seafood lover, you’re in for a treat. The chefs here are not just cooking; they are crafting experiences. Do not miss out on this culinary gem!“

“Our waitress Isabella was so wonderful and sweet! We came for my brothers 21st birthday and she gave us amazing service! She was so good about our allergies and special requests. The food was good, seafood tower was really nice, scallops and risotto was quite salty. But the steak ravioli that Isabella suggested was amazing!“

“A+ for service and atmosphere! The live music/flamenco dancing was vibrant and delightful. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was a hit or miss. For the tapas, the whisky pork tenderloin with potatoes was cooked well but the sauce had an odd tang to it. It may be an acquired taste and not for everyone. The grilled eggplant was soggier than expected and I don’t think I’ll get it next time. The Serrano ham and manchego cheese appetizer on the other hand, was absolutely scrumptious! The chicken and seafood paella (the reason why we chose this restaurant) was a big let down…the dish was way too salty and I couldn’t fully enjoy it without downing water. The chicken and mussels/clams however, were tender and cooked well. The churros and chocolate dip for dessert were divine.“

“This place was good, we ordered the lobster deviled eggs, fish and chips, mussels, and lobster roll. The lobster roll was good, I would have liked it to be meatier. The lobster deviled eggs were great! The mussels were okay…the flavor was good but some of the mussels were chewy and dry.The service and the location were great! I can’t believe I didn’t take more pics of my food!“

“My family and I have eaten at this restaurant twice. The first time was about 7 years ago while on a school trip to the city. That time, we had lunch. It was the BEST burger we’ve ever had. So much so, that we still talk about it to this day. While visiting the city again for the F1 show, we couldn’t resist eating at The Capital Grille again. This time,, we enjoyed dinner with the lobster mac & cheese, truffle fries, and tuna tartare. All were amazing!! Colleen was our waitress. She was super friendly and very attentive. If/when we visit DC again, we will most definitely include The Capital Grille on our itinerary.“

“The food here is AMAZING. I'm actually glad this place is far from me and on the expensive side because if it was closer and cheaper I'd be eating here constantly. My table got the waygu egg rolls, Mac and cheese, broccolini, Hawaiian steak, jerk crab cakes, and the jerk lollipop chicken. All of it was on point. Drinks are pretty expensive for what you get. That was probably the only disappointment. Music is a little loud for my liking but it is a minor nit in an absolutely amazing experience.“

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Los Caballeros for their weekend brunch and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff and the owner himself. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and had a laid-back vibe, perfect for a lazy weekend brunch. Now let's talk about the food. Los Caballeros proved to be a pleasant surprise. They were able to accommodate options for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians. But what truly stole the show for me were the drinks. I highly recommend trying their pitcher of tamarindo margarita. It was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, and definitely hit the spot. They also had other options like mimosas and bloody marys for those who prefer a classic brunch drink. The owner, who was also our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made sure we were enjoying our meal and even gave us some recommendations for their signature dishes. It was evident that he takes great pride in his restaurant and wants his customers to have a memorable experience. To end our brunch on a sweet note, we decided to try their dessert. And let me tell you, it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.Overall, my experience at Los Caballeros was exceptional. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out for their weekend brunch or even for a regular meal. The owner and his team have truly created a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for their customers. So next time you're in the mood for some delicious food, head over to Los Caballeros and treat yourself to a delightful brunch. You won't regret it.Parking: This area of parking gets very busy due to being right beside the area of the Capitol.“

“Today, we were incredibly fortunate to visit a unique restaurant, Monocle, located on Capitol Hill. We initially chose it due to its proximity to our hotel, but it turned out to be a true "Washingtonian gem." Opened in 1960, this restaurant has been operated by the same family ever since. The menu is concise, which we believe highlights the culinary excellence presented in merely five dishes. We were in search of "authentic American steaks from real American beef from real American cows." What we received far exceeded our expectations. Both steaks we ordered were exquisitely prepared to perfection. We both agreed that these were the best steaks we've ever had the pleasure of eating in our lives. #MasterpieceAs if the meal itself wasn't enough, our server, Marinos Apostolopoulos, provided us with a genuine journey through the history of this establishment. We are deeply grateful!Given its location near the Capitol, the restaurant has been visited by at least half of American politicians over the last 60 years, including Presidents Nixon, Kennedy, Bush, and Clinton. Celebrities like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, among other incredible individuals, have also frequented this place. The number of VIPs and their dedications displayed in their own photos hanging on every wall is truly astonishing. One of the servers celebrated his 50th work anniversary here two months ago with a surprise party for 250 people, an event that was featured on the front page of the Washington Post, which we had the opportunity to read. The place is beautiful, with incredibly friendly service and excellent food. The wonderful experiences we had will stay with us forever. It's worth traveling for moments like these. We highly recommend it and would love to return someday.“

“Ambiance is an interesting hole in the wall. We begin with the fluffy warm bread. Soft and fresh and distracting from eating. Then the octopus salad. The octopus is just right; a good sear with a bit of smoky taste, cooked through and just right. Mussels: served with a few pieces of chorizo. Not too many to blot out the flavor of the mussels, mind you. The mussels were a bit dry, this one wasn't swimming in liquid like other places so it. Always fall for the liquid, ordering extra bread to dip into it like a weirdo. Grand marnier soufflés were good. Ask about the dog biscuits!“

“Beautiful restaurant overlooking the water, outstanding service, and amazing seafood. I had read some of the reviews that were less than stellar but everything that we ordered was fantastic. We started off with their eggplant appetizer, which was full roasted eggplant -- delicious. For the main entree, I was debating between their grilled calamari and the scallops and the server recommended we share a half portion of the calamari and get the scallops. Great recommendation. The scallops were out of this world and a generous portion too. My wife's fish was delicious as well. No complaints about anything. The prices are a bit on the higher side but it's worth it when the food and the ambiance matches expectations. A definite 5 star for me.“

“On February 17, 2024, I had the pleasure of dining at Truluck's Ocean Finest Seafood restaurant, following a recommendation from my son who had visited two weeks prior. From the moment we arrived, the exterior design of the building beckoned us inside with its inviting allure, earning a solid 5-star rating.Inside, we were warmly greeted by the maitre d'. Despite not having reservations for the elegant dining section, we were graciously offered a seat at a group of tables in the bar area, further enhancing our initial impression with another 5-star rating.Although I typically shy away from shellfish, I was delighted to find an extensive menu offering a variety of seafood, as well as options from land and scales. This diverse selection easily earns a well-deserved 5-star rating. The ambiance inside the restaurant was truly spectacular, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Our table server went above and beyond, providing samples of the menu items and offering detailed descriptions along with pricing information, earning yet another 5-star rating.Following her recommendations, I decided to try the yellowtail raw fish, mashed potatoes, lobster bisque, and crab fried rice. Each dish was expertly prepared, and the flavors were simply divine. The yellowtail raw fish, in particular, was a revelation for me, and I even contemplated ordering the raw salmon to compare the two dishes, solidifying a perfect 5-star rating. As we enjoyed our meal, we were treated to delightful entertainment by a talented one-man band, who sang, played piano, and entertained us with his musical prowess. The musical group, Wild Cherry would be proud to say, "Play that funky music whiteboy!?!" His performance added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience, earning yet another 5-star rating. My final thoughts, I am immensely grateful to my son for introducing me to Truluck's Ocean Finest Seafood. I eagerly look forward to future visits, knowing that each time, I will be welcomed into the same enjoyable atmosphere that made this dining experience truly exceptional.Parking: The underground layout of parking is broken down into color codes. We traveled many level underground but had to navigate in the parking area to exit. Because you need a parking permit, we had to exit in the red area which brought us up several blocks away from the restaurant.“

“Sat the bar on a solo sunday funday. It's on a nice street with street vendors. I came for the food and wasn't disappointed. The she crab soup was very good. I can't tell if the base was store bought but amount of sherry was spot on. I would probably say that if I wanted she crab soup, I'd go here from here on out. They had some soft shells and they were delicious. I should have asked for capers but that's just my preference. Drinks were well made. All in all, a tasty treat. I can't speak to the dinner experience though I'm tempted to try.“

“Fun spot for dinner and good food. Our server was very nice, yet didn't course out our food, so we had two pasta dishes and fish show up at the same time. The octopus starter was my favorite dish. “3-stars for service due to multiple requests for a finger bowl of warm water. When the requested was answered, it was presented in an aluminum bowl, plated, with a drying cloth ... but the water was cold!I agree with the reviews, $100 per person, we ordered tapas servings, no entrees. No dessert. Drinks ordered. Everything tasted wonderful. Over priced. You're paying for the location.“

“It's one of the best lobster rolls I've had with a great price point. Paid 20 bucks for a roll and topped it off with a lobster tail for an extra 5 bucks. It was so much lobster ! The meat was sweet and perfectly cooked. Roll was a tad too buttery for my liking.I also got a side of clam chowder, which was really good as well. The place is small and not reccomend for large group dine-in unless you're getting it to go. It's more of an order-at-the-counter and seat yourself type of place.Writing this review is making me drool ?.I'm going to have to mark this place as my to-go every time I'm in town!If you love yourself, get yourself a lobster roll from here and add that extra tail.“

“Some great food and a few misses. The oysters were great- cold, briny, and delicious. I ordered the grilled tuna off of their special spring menu and it was phenomenal. Great flavor and cooked well. The most egregious flaw was a medium-rare steak that was ordered was served medium-well. The waiter wasn’t able to provide information about what oysters were available and the bar struggled with a martini. I’ll give it another shot but expected a little more for the price and reputation.“

“Estuary in DC offered a vibrant setting for a memorable date night, with its lively music and sultry atmosphere. Sipping on the THYME OF THE SEASON cocktail, a delicious concoction of Tomcat Barr Hill Gin, Williams Pear Brandy, lemon, and thyme, I found myself immersed in the energetic ambiance of the venue. I came for a nightcap with friends after a conference but would've stayed longer if I could have. The dim lighting, high ceilings and interesting art created a dynamic atmosphere that exuded sensuality, setting the stage for a great time. Despite the lively atmosphere, the panoramic views of the city provided a captivating backdrop, adding a touch of intimacy to the experience. Whether you're looking to spice up your date night or simply enjoy a night out with someone special, Estuary in DC offers a vibrant setting and delicious cocktails that are sure to impress. “Bar Spero was exceptional. Far more a restaurant than a bar. Though drinks were also brilliant. The bartender Savi proved a knowledgable mixologist. If you enjoy mezcal I highly recommend the Dead Lady cocktail. The drink was smoky but well balanced and smooth enough to be dangerous. However, the drinks were only a prelude, the true fire of Bar Spero is the food. Our meal was a delightful, delicious, delectable multisensory feast.Everything was amazing from the cucumber, herb salad to the burnt cheese cake ice cream. However, my personal highlight was the seafood. I'd recently returned from a beach trip and assure you everything tasted catch of the day fresh. The raw oysters were some of the best I've had. The grilled octopus was sweet, tender and cooked to perfection, it's sauce, a squid ink reduction only emphasized the utter genius therein. Though all the seafood from Jonah Crab Rice to the Tuna Tostadas to the Ember Roasted Scallops were unforgettably delicious. The food could make a convert out of me and will out of you.Our server Blithe was personable, humorous and attentive, without hovering. Her table service was impeccable and she clearly loved her job. Though really all of the service was noteworthy. The communal feel of Bar Spero made it feel like a family. (I love that tips are split front to back of the house)It was an honor when Chef Jason came to out to our table to greet us. This man is an artist, his work practically brought me to tears of joy repeatedly.Do your self a favor and go to Bar Spero, you will thank me for it.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and found many options on the menu.Parking: It took a few minutes looking but we found parking in front of the GAO“

“Food was so good, I was dancing the wholeTime while I was eating ?The beef suya was really tender, and it was the extra hot but I could tolerate it. The jollof was great and smoky flavor (party rice). The plantains were extra ripe and the way I like it. I am of Nicaraguan decent and enjoy maduros so if you like ripe ripe plantains then you will love them. The Zobo-lemonade was so good. I wonder if they make it in house. Nicaraguans drink it too but we call it “Jamaica”. The efo riro was great, small portion but great flavor. The suya wings were crispy and flavorful, I prefer flats so that’s the only thing that could have been better. Yeah, I’m doing the hour drive for spice kitchen very soon!!“

“I came here with a reservation to celebrate my birthday and the experience was well worth it. Getting to the restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel and easy to get to. I was greeted and quickly seated. Kim the server was amazing, they have a pianist in the center of the restaurant who is very good.I had a Large crab cake which came with a creamy sauce as an appetizer. The taste of the crab cake was good, but the sauce really made it stand out.I then had their Maine lobster which you have the option to get with, or without Imperial. The lobster is cooked then the inner-side is removed and stuffed with crab cake and shrimp in addition to the lobster then is placed back into the shell. I thought about adding the sauce that came with my appetizer but was concerned it would take away the seafood flavor and make everything too soggy. Im glad I didnt and just added lemons and the butter that already came with it.Whenever I come back to DC this will be my spot and will look forward to trying out their steaks.“

“What a nice meal! We ordered our meal to go and it took about a half hour to prepare. I got the Ocean Catch #A, which came in a big plastic bag! Perfectly cooked crab legs and shrimp and the seafood legend sauce was very tasty - it tasted like a mix of Cajun seasoning, garlic and butter. I got the mild spice level, which was flavorful but not hot. The potato and corn that it came with were also good. The seafood catches and boils seen to be the specialty and mine was worth the money. My husband's salmon was good but unexciting and would have benefited from some of the same seasoning as mine. It was also a small portion for the price. However, his New England clam chowder was thick and flavorful. My five year old had the fried white fish and seemed content with it. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, it was well decorated and looked inviting - hopefully I will be able to eat there in person soon! On a side note, they also have bubble tea, which was delicious!“
