“Some great food and a few misses. The oysters were great- cold, briny, and delicious. I ordered the grilled tuna off of their special spring menu and it was phenomenal. Great flavor and cooked well. The most egregious flaw was a medium-rare steak that was ordered was served medium-well. The waiter wasn’t able to provide information about what oysters were available and the bar struggled with a martini. I’ll give it another shot but expected a little more for the price and reputation.“

“This is such a hidden gem in the DMV area. It was a last minute decision to come here and I don’t regret anything! Their seafood was so fresh and the drinks are AMAZING! The servers were very sweet and friendly. We order for 4 and have so much leftovers. Even the bag that they send you home with is reusable. I would say the best cajun seafood place I had ever. You should try their house special sauce, you won’t regret it!“
“JC has the best crabs! I’ve been eating crabs from JCs for over 4 years now and they haven’t let me down! Cindy is so kind and personable, she’s very knowledgeable about the crabs and sizes. I’ve got to know her mom as well and their very kind people! I usually get extra large or jumbo crabs, their delicious corn, their sweet tea and brown paper roll as my regular order and I have been let down! “First time visit for a family of 4, so we sampled a lot and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The favorites were the buffalo wings (extra crispy), chicken strips, chicken and rice, and hush puppies. The staff was extremely pleasant. The seating is limited to 10, but most people were ordering takeout, so we happily enjoyed our meal there!“

“This is a nice and cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. The food here is amazing to the point where my mouth starts to water every time I think of their well portioned pupusas ? (much bigger and cheesier than the place next door)! Their quesadillas and breakfast meals is great too! Every time I go in expecting to buy just one meal, but after looking at the menu and smelling the food cooking in the kitchen I end up leaving with two to three meals. Overall this place is a steal for the quality of the food they give you at very reasonable prices and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area who’s looking for a nice authentic Spanish food restaurant.“

“If you know, you know. Same cook over 50 years. Food and atmosphere is the same since I made my first visit 45 years ago. It’s a shame some of the reviewers did not care for it. I could not imagine delivery or take out. Got to eat in. Parking out front free on weekends. Seafood Bisque and Combo Norfolk are the best! Great coleslaw also. Keep going strong guys!“
“Girlfriend and I wanted to try something new. We came across spice street and never had Indian food before. Service was amazing and food was excellent. We had the chicken curry and chicken makhani with garlic naan bread. All the food was amazing and would definitely recommend to try this place out.“
