The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that their customers are taken care of, earning a solid 10/10 rating with service. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with soft lighting and a simple yet classy interior design spread out over two levels.We tried a variety of cocktails and starters, including cassava fritters, pork paw, and jerk wings - my personal favorite. Other starters such as Aloo and Channa Pies and Callaloo soup were also delicious. “came for a little solo date not too long ago and though very similar taste to their sister restaurants miss toyas, pop boy jim's, etc., their menu is a bit more creative. i enjoyed this experience. they will run you for your money however! the eggs were really good, the oxtail hawaiian rolls were good but kind of soggy. i also had the "not yo momma" pasta, which i unfortunately don't have a photo of, but was delicious! but the mango cooler which i originally got i had to spit the tiniest first sip out bc it was insanely sweet and sugary. i really dislike lemonades like that. they're located in rather one of the busier parts of hyattsville but w a shared parking lot around the back. service was good--didn't take more than maybe 15-20 mins to come out. it's just unfortunate that one of the employees was tryna get at me and got mad when i chose to respond...it shouldn't be hard to enjoy a simple solo meal as a lady. if i ever return, i hope to not see him again.“

“I ordered the Curry Chicken, rice and peas with plantains and I was pleasantly surprised at how DELICIOUS the food was. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty and so full of authentic Jamaican flavor. The food was Excellent, it was so good I could not stop eating. I have not had Jamaican food this good in many years! I have definitely found a gem and will be visiting or ordering often. I highly recommend D&D Caribbean Kitchen, you will not be disappointed. Thank you D&D, you guys set the bar high. My rating is 100 Stars ?“

“Super fun ambiance and incredible DJ spinning fun songs and afrobeats during our dinner reservation Saturday 8pm - we did need to move our seats closer together as it was a tad loud but just be prepared for that. Service was awesome, despite only 2 servers, they were bustling around making sure everyone was being taken care of. They even apologized for our drinks taking so long as the bar was backed up- BUT- I got the sense the cocktails are not prebatched and for that I will ALWAYS have patience!! The wings were awesome, oxtails on point, cabbage fresh and tasty, plantains crispy on the outside and tender on the inside- the grilled fish was excellent. No fishy smell, and with 2 sides. It's expensive at $80 but again it had two sides and was very flavorful and fresh. I wanted to drink the hot sauce it came with lol. What also surprised me with the Mac and cheese. If you reach my reviews you know I'm a gluten free - attempt to be dairy free person.... But when I saw the crisped up pieces, and the fact there were some kind of herbs in it- I tried and bite and WOW !! Better than Hells Kitchen Mac and cheese by Gordon Ramsey honestly- which was the last time I cheated and had some! We're excited to go back!“

“The food from this restaurant is soooo good they make it very easy for me because I’m a pescatarian and they have so many seafood options from the curry shrimp patties to the fish sandwich and stew fish, Curry shrimp roti ugh everything is fantastic! I’ve never had a bad meal from there The thing I’ve love the most about them is how they package their food for whenever you order from Door dash or grub hub you can bet your money They’ll make sure it’s tamperproof.“

I live far away but go at least once per month to pick up my goodies: 2 butter bread, 2 currants roll, 2 slices of cassava pone, 3+ beef patties, 3+ aloo pies, 3+ doubles with all the fixings, etc. Trevor and his wife are great hostesses and the staff are friendly and hospitable.Parking: 1st come 1st serve street metered parking. 4 - 5 spots“

“The staff at this location was good, but the quality of the food was a problem. I ordered 2 salads and the lettuce on the salads was old and the spring mix and spinach were wilted. We had to pick a lot of it out. The meat however was flavorfully and tasty. The 2 side orders were tasty as well. As far as atmosphere, the floors were sticky and needed a good cleaning. The glass partition also needed to be cleaned. Overall, a little cleaning and attention to the food would have changed the whole experience.“
