“On 4/6/24, Me and my wife went to this restaurant, and I must say I was very very impressed. We arrived a little early yet the manager Frank went above and beyond to get us a table. We advised him it was a first time there, and he made sure that we received nothing but the best of service. He personally took us over and make sure that everything was fine. We didn’t have any issues with anything. Our waiters name was Michael and he took his time explained everything to us regarding the menu seeing as it was our first time. He was very knowledgeable Of every item on the menu, and I was very impressed with the level of professionalism we received here. The quality service was so good and spectacular that we actually went back on 4/11/24 to dine there again. We had Courtney as our waitress, and I must say she was just as good as Michael. I see they take the time in training the staff there. I Can honestly say that this might be our new dinner spot. I really hope that this Google review makes it to Bud and Bobby “Owners”so they can know just how well this establishment is being ran. Frank, I just want to say thanks again for everything and you made it more than just a dinner for me and my wife. It was a wonderful experience and looking forward to coming back again.“

“My daughter and son-in-law brought us to the Bayard House over the Christmas holidays 2024, and we were impressed-with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the views! We wanted to do something special for our Army Captain daughter, Noella Rogers, when she promoted to Major yesterday. Remembering how much she and her husband, Jeff, love Bayard House, we called about getting a gift card. Chris Amon, (not sure of the spelling), Assistant General Manager, answered. When he told me that we'd have to come in and purchase it, I told him that we lived in Texas, so that wouldn't be possible. I was about to hang up, but Chris asked where my daughter lives. When I told him, he said that he lived close to her town and volunteered to hand-deliver it! Wow! He didn't have to do that! Not only did he hand-deliver it this morning, April 24th, he bought and placed it inside a card for her. Talk about going above the call of duty! Bayard House, hang onto Chris because that guy is gold! Everyone else, if you haven't tried it out yet, go get you something wonderful to eat at Bayard House! Chris, we look forward to thanking you in person the next time we come to Maryland for a visit!“

“Went here for crabs today. We got the #2 size, and they were $48 dollars for a dozen and fries with old bay. We got there about 3 o'clock and the place was almost empty. The waitress was very attentive and got our drinks quickly. The only thing I can say about the crabs is they were a little mushey also the meat stuck on the inside of the claws. I pretty sure that they were over cooked.“

“A very nice clean diner with professional happy staff working there. No long wait to be served and they’re excellent about checking on your drinks and making sure you’re okay. Our server was Troy. Very polite young man and on top of his job. Our food came out not only nice and hot but it was delicious. Their homemade mashed potatoes along with their meatloaf is just everything in my book. I definitely do recommend Metro Diner in Middletown fir a quick cost effective meal and drink.“

“Curry & Cocktails is worth the drive from wherever you are. Their food is fresh and robust with flavor, the service is friendly and nice, and the establishment is clean and welcoming. “It was my first time here. The atmosphere was very inviting. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner the whole time I had my oxtail pho. He was very kind and offered me tips on how to eat it, which I always appreciate when eating foods I am culturally unfamiliar with. He explained the year of renovation he had and the changes to the menu. I showed up at noon left at 3. The food and company was fantastic. There should absolutely be more business here. Please stop in and see just how good the food is. The oxtail pho was phenomenal. I appreciate the hospitality I was shown as well as the delicious meal.“

“We went here on Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. They were very busy, but there was no wait to get seated and food came fast. Patrick was our server and he he was so awesome - friendly and knowledgeable. Service was fast and attentive. Food was excellent. We had the drunken clams appetizer, the cod, halibut and shrimp entrees. All were excellent. The Mac and cheese side is to die for! We finished the meal with the rosemary chocolate cake and wow, just an amazing flavor combination. You have to try it to believe it. Not sure why we have not found this restaurant sooner, but we will be repeat customers.“

“I stopped at Tom Foolery’s recommended by the staff from my hotel. I was greeted by Isaiah. I believe that is the correct name. Anyways he was the light in an otherwise normal day. He asked how my day was, what brought me in and if I had ever been. As I gave him a response he was extremely engaged and carried a great conversation with insight on the menu. He asked what I like and ended up picking out the perfect combination for my taste. Extremely professional and such a pleasure to have him as my waiter. “My wife and I have been here several times and we’ve always been happy with the food and service. Recently we had a reservation on 4/6/24 and had the honor of meeting Ananda H. Ananda was our server and she was great. My wife and I ordered some drinks and fried green tomatoes to start. The fried green tomatoes are by far the best we have ever had. We’ve been to Savannah, Georgia many times and their fried green tomatoes were the best, until we had the ones at 1861. My wife decided on getting the salmon and switched out the rice for the mashed potatoes and vegetables. She kept saying how good it was and kept raving about the glaze on it. I took a bite or two and totally agreed. I went with the special of the day which was the lamb burger with goat cheese. I’m very glad I made that decision. It was perfectly cooked and I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. If you’re looking to find a fault or something you would do differently but can’t, it’s a great sign of how good the food is. I couldn’t find anything wrong with anything. Service, food, and atmosphere were perfect. Thank you Ananda and 1861 for making our date night perfect.“

“Places nowadays usually get a computer AI voice whatever it's called. Cuzinos is a person who is working that actually takes your order. The hoagies are a little bit way more vegetables than the meat and cheese but other than that I don't have a negative comment. The pasta dishes are unbelievably delicious the atmosphere is clean and the best place to eat in Middletown IMO“

Finally I caved and said that one middle aged gentleman could open my car door. “The salads are good. But noticed the prices went up and some of the ingredients were changed or are now cut much much smaller than they used to be. Chicken pieces are extremely small so you don't get much protein unless you pay extra $$ you can easily spend $12-$20 on ONE salad. Great option if your on the go or don't feel like making one at home for a fraction of the cost.“
