The experience began with me running behind for my reservation because I-95 traffic is a..well we all know..so in calling the restaurant to alert them my first taste of Marta was Nick, who answered the phone in such a warm and friendly manner I felt welcomed even before my arrival! Now I will say parking is a challenge..but rise up to this challenge..be persistent..because once you’re safely parked you will reap amazing culinary rewards. The space itself..it beautifully done..muted colors and comfortable seating seem to say “ sit..get comfortable and get ready for a great time” Our server Michael was a JOY. Just as important as the food, is the service, Michael made sure that we were comfortable, answering all questions and providing excellent recommendations when they were asked for. No one could have asked for a better tour guide to lead our Marta experience..when making reservations..request him..I promise you won’t be disappointed. Appetizers! Tuna Cannoli..if you think you know tuna..I’m here to say NAW! This dish was whimsical and full of flavor. The tuna was fresh and prefect encased in a light cannoli shell..the sesame seeds tied the whole dish together for me perfectly. Beef tartare(my personal favorite) vibrant color and palate pleasing flavors! I like the addition of beets in place of the traditional capers. Even my one friend who hates beets agrees that it brought a great element to this dish. Oysters! Perfectly briny and chilled expertly the pink peppercorn granita was Everything! Entrees: I enjoyed the Agnolotti which was a fall themed plate of warm comfort food! The spiced squash and apple stuffed pasta was so flavorful..but just when you thought it couldn’t get better, BOOM! Brown butter sage sauce! Please do yourself a favor..make your reservation to enjoy this dish before it goes away..you won’t regret it. The risotto my friend enjoyed with the meatballs from the antipasti menu was creamy and honestly had me making my next reservation in my head so I could enjoy it all by myself! Saffron Brodo, Aged Parmesan, bring this dish home! He couldn’t stop raving about the meatballs and I know they must have been great because he didn’t share..lol My dear friend ordered the Panzotti featuring stuffed Duck and Foie Gras! All components of this dish worked together to create perfection! Wine list..well thought out and composed. When our initial choice was temporarily unavailable, cue Nick with a perfect recommendation for an alternative bottle! Desserts..we ordered them all..don’t judge..lol..we couldn’t decided..lol..and you only live once! In addition to ordering them all..you bet the 3 of us finished them all too! So no further details required..I just suggest you make sure to save room for at least one of these sweet temptations..really any one..you won’t regret it! “Great spot for laid back water front dining. Sit in the back- over the water- great view!Wide variety of items on the menu including seafood, fish, mexican options, salads, burgers. Crab dip was pretty good..needed more Old Bay. Nachos needed fresh cheese and pico vs tiny cup of jarred salsa.The half and half crab soup was amazing!(1/2 cream of crab1/2 MD crab) Also the spicy shrimp and mussels were great! Live music on the weekends- great service!“
“Quality food, good ambience. Our standby for 40 years had been Ikaros a block away, but the owner had to close due to health problems. This was recommended to us as the new best, and it didn’t disappoint. Wine, saganaki and moussaka were all incredible. Wish I had tried the calamari. Only thing that was not incredible was the bread served at table. I’m a bread snob, and while this wasn’t awful, it was merely ok. I would have preferred a thicker, fresher bread and olive oil for dipping, or traditional greek flat bread.“

“This is the most reasonably priced place we’ve been in SOME time, and that coupled with the very thoughtfully created drinks, changing/local menu, excellent service…. Great time! My husbands cooking repertoire includes “chicken parm” only yet he suddenly turns into Gordon Ramsey when we eat out & he’s commented no less than 10x how great everything was! He prefers his meat medium rare, which turns out to be a very difficult thing to achieve in baltimore, but we never complain/send back, he usually just saws through the overcooked meat & goes home in disappointment - but not so at Sally O’s!!! Absolutely, amazing, perfectly cooked meat. I had the duck - which is my favorite thing to order on any menu (I absolutely LOVE duck) and this might be the best duck confit I can remember ever having. Service was impeccable - recommendations, timing, everything. We never had empty drinks, but we were not harassed either. The drinks were chefs kiss - espresso martinis with the brownie sunday: *to die for*.For reference we don’t have kids, and my husband cannot sit home for one weekend to save his life so we often eat out — **OFTEN**. We’ve eaten everywhere in the city. Done a circuit of all the Atlas restaurants, Chef Cindy Wolf joints, independently owned’s, all of them. The resounding thing we had to say on the way home was that we were disappointed we hadn’t tried Sally O’s earlier & that we can’t wait to go back. Definitely outpacing the rest of them. Great intimate atmosphere in both bar and dining room. Cocktails were excellent....best Manhattan on this trip thus far. Menu is manageable and clearly based on fresh, in season components. From the Susan's Shrimp appetizer...to the Maryland Crab Soup, perfect starters. Then an entree of Maryland crab cakes with roasted Brussel sprouts and slaw, accompanied by in house tartar, well played pairing. The other “off menu” entree offering was pan grilled red snapper topped with lump crab and velvety beure blanc sauce with roasted root vegetables.....heaven! Finished off with a house grand marnier creme brûlée....NO words! Chef Akbar has outdone himself and still takes the time to check on his patrons table-side should you request, as I did. “Geneva made us feel like the most important part of the experience at Judy’s Island Grill. Snapper was at market price but affordable and worth it. Also had the oxtail burrito which was flavorful and filling. Cabbage was delicious. David was hospitable and made boozy rum punches. The Mango margarita was too sweet for my preference. “At the recommendation of a co worker I went in on a Thursday for their cheesesteak special and it dit not disappoint. The young lady behind the bar was very attentive, asked now we were doing and if we needed anything often but not too often where it would've been annoying. With hat experience we went back the following Wednesday for their burger special which also was very good. At this point we've done the specials for each day of the week and will continue to go back. Nice little bar with great staff, great food and a cozy atmosphere.“

“We stopped by for drinks, the bouncer Kevin is very nice and personable. When we entered there was a DJ. The bar area is quite small but there is a larger area in the back. The drinks are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly. It is quite dark and hard to see the menus or get the servers/bartenders attention. It was also quite loud for it being a sit down bar. It was tough to hear my friends sitting next to me.“
“The Knotty Pine is an upscale Baltimore corner bar with an intimate feel. Try the smash burgers while you’re here, you won’t be disappointed. The service here is top-notch!I ordered the bacon and bleu cheese burger with extra bleu cheese. This was the most flavorful, juicy burger I have ordered in a very long time. I could have easily consumed two more!My friend ordered the flatbread pizza. Keep in mind this is a pizza crafted with unleavened dough. You’re essentially eating your pizza on a giant flour tortilla shell. Consequently, the “pizza” had hard, crunchy edges. While it worked as bar food, it more closely resembles an open-faced quesadilla than it does a pizza.Meanwhile, my other friend devoured his burrito bowl. He remarked upon the bowl’s beautiful presentation.Not much thought went into interior lighting here. I found it harsh and glaring. Otherwise, if you want a cold beer, accompanied by great food and service, this is the place to go!“

“I'm going to call The Cannon Room a hidden gem, because you might not know about it (without reading about it on Yelp, of course). Even once we got inside the Sagamore Pentry, we had to ask for directions to the Cannon Room anyway, because it's tucked away in the back. But the ambiance, the comfort, the decor, and the whiskey selections are all top notch. There are some very good surprise finds on the menu, but unfortunately others know about them, and we were told some of those are often gone within a week. Customers not staying at the hotel will have to start a tab with a charge card. If you're looking for a higher-end whiskey experience in the area, this is your place.“
“When you walk into Das Beirhalle, the blue and white German flag inspired decor with shiny, shiny picnic tables for larger tables & high tops (and a few booths) are pretty authentic to the seating in Austria & Germany. The extensive beer menu, of course, isn't the way it is in a German pub, because you get the local brew of each town in the Germanic region... but if you're a beer-lover, this is quite heavenly, LOL! The wursts are great... I had weisswurt. An optional gluten free bun?! Oh man... this management is really ON IT! (Didn't notice if there was a gluten free pretzel among the many gooey, yummy soft pretzel appetizer options.) I almost don't want to review Das Bierhalle because it's such a gem & on the weekends, good luck with a parking spot! I could get a bit selfish about this place as my neighbors who recommended it are! (And he managed a great restaurant downtown, so since they're regulars, I knew this place would be fabulous!) Many TVs (MANY!) if you're looking for a game. I don't know what's downstairs, actually. Could be tough for handicapped access, actually, due to steps inside the back door. I have a service animal and there wasn't a blip. We had a perfect corner table. The staff was the perfect balance of attentive and not overbearing so. Totally enjoyed every aspect of Das Bierhalle & highly recommend!“

“The fresh oysters are always so delicious whenever I get them which is every time I go there lol. Haven’t been there for brunch yet so it was nice to try a different menu for a change. Always a great atmosphere and a great attitude on pretty much all of the staff. The only issue I had was we were sitting in the front seating area when you first walk in the place and there were two waitresses going back and forth with the area I was seated in and looked like one of them was going upstairs here and there too. For the two other couples that were seated around myself in that little front area the amount of times we were checked on was under par in my opinion to a point that I had to get up and remove my tray that the oysters were on to make room on the table and to also get napkins that we never got. It isn’t the end of the world and I didn’t mind it either since I’m a young man myself, but from someone who works in the customer service industry it could be better in my opinion. Other than that I never have had and highly doubt I ever will have a bad experience at Mama’s On The Half Shell. The Staff is so awesome and welcoming, the food is always fresh and delicious, and it’s a place with a comforting and fun vibe along with that tavern setting too. I hope if your visiting The Baltimore waterfront you go check out Not only Mama’s On The Half Shell but also Canton Square.Parking: Parking is hit or miss in Canton Square on a not busy day so just be patient with finding available parking if there is a special event going on. I was lucky to find something close, but it can become a bit of a hassle. This is not in any way Mama’s On The Half Shell fault by any means at least in my opinion just to clarify.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads into the restaurant once you go through the front door. And some seating for someone with a handicap or in a wheelchair.“

I have had an amazing Indian dish, wings, my favorite chicken bacon ranch wrap and so much more. He replied yes and if you like tacos, try the shrimp or steak tacos, they are really good. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and Amaretto Sour. The total was less than $20. “My daughter and I started with beer, cocktail and appetizer of bread & butter with cheese which was good, but two medium size slices of bread for $8 is way over priced. We had the house burgers with a salad and french fries, which were very good. We both decided to get milkshakes to go. I got a white chocolate and she got an Oreo shake. They were small, not thick and I have had much better milk shakes. Definitely not worth the $8 a piece. Service was so so, but I believe the waitress was covering the whole restaurant. Under the circumstances she did a good job.“

“We had our daughters bridal shower their on Saturday March 4th. It was for 50 people. The food and the service was excellent. They went above, what we expected. The chef came out spoke to us and assisted in any way they could. The service was wonderful. If you are looking for a venu to host a party, "Hull Street Blues " is it. “I attend this location frequently but this is my first time trying it for restaurant week.Here are my thoughts:- The customer service from bartender Jason was phenomenal. He was our waiter while we sat at the booth in the bar area. He was fast, kind, extremely efficient, prepared, and attentive. I have no complaints. 5/5 for customer service.- My son’s ribs were filling and large but a bit pricey. The broccoli was a little mushy but definitely seasoned. The fries had a good crunch but was only warm (not hot). Overall his meal was about 3.8/5- I ordered the fried pickles, stuff shrimp with broccoli, and bread pudding. I used to love their fried pickles but now I don’t. They changed the recipe and now serve them like a thin basket of fries. Previously, they were thick (like a spear) and served in a tall basket that stood up. The new formula and presentation used extremely thin, nearly shredded pickles. Again, the broccoli was mushy but seasoned. The stuffed shrimp was delicious but the portion was so small. It didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth for the restaurant deal. The bread pudding was really tasty but I wish I had ice cream to add to it. Anyway, I would rate that full meal as a 3.3/5 for portion and mushy veggies.- My spouse’s meal was the boom boom shrimp, pork chops with mash potatoes & coleslaw, and black bottom cheesecake. The boom boom shrimp was very good but we did ask for ranch dipping sauce on the side. The pork chops were amazingly juicy. They came with an apple sauce for dipping but I didn’t like the flavor combination. The coleslaw was decent. The black bottom cake was just ok. I’m glad it came with my meal because otherwise, I wouldn’t have ordered that dessert. Overall, this meal was a 4.2/5 strictly for the mash and porkchop.- Wings were a to go order for someone else. They said the wings were good but wish they had a little more ranch dipping sauce. 4/5“

“I am a frequent regular at Penny Black. It's a nice change of pace on Fell's, if you're bar hopping, it's a perfect breather. Very quiet and nice atmosphere, perfect if you'd rather have nice conversation than hear a band.It's one of the few bars with outdoor seating where you can smoke a cigarette and get some work done.No matter where you are sitting, the staff is always insanely accommodating and will ensure you get drinks and food in a timely manner.Kid-friendliness: By day, this is much more of a restaurant atmosphere, and can generally be seen as kid-friendly any time before around 8“
