“I love KFC ! I'm only giving them four stars because, the drive thu guy didnt tell us they was out of coke, just gave us Dr pepper instead .until I tasted it and told them this was not Pepsi .then the cashier said ,she said this wasn't pepsi , she asked the guy why didn't you tell them we was out of pepsi. When I spoke up the cashier didn't like the way I said then what do you have and said to me to carm down I had to let her know I wasn't yelling . I just speak loud. She had an bit of attitude and left the window the other guy gave us our order with no apology...I dont think I'll go to this branch again ...I just like good service. With Friendly people.“
“Shout out to Jordan G. He took my large order. A side & kids meal got omitted. Went back the next day. It was SUPER BUSY but he was very courteous and quickly made the items. For some reason their mac & cheese has never been on point. Most other dishes are very good. Staff are friendly. Go when it's not busy.“
“Excellent food and customer service! It's the first visit and definitely not the last. Their food it's fresh and with a lot of flavor! We came as a large group and we all tried different dishes. The mixed grill (delicious), combo rice bowl (amazing), hummus (creamy and authentic), chicken (soft and flavorful) and stuffed grape leaves (tasty). Make sure you try both of their sauces, so so so good! Didn't get a chance to take a picture as we were eating as soon as the food touched the table :).The staff checked how was the food and if we needed anything during our visit.Overall, this will be our place to go for good food! You must try it, and you won't regret!“

“The food was amazing especially at the price point and I went back twice on Super Bowl Sunday -- which was also my first time ordering from here. I ordered the OG Nashville Hot and the Honey Butter sandwich. Both would absolutely out of this world. The chicken is fresh and not too heavily breaded but crispy and warm and the spice is fantastic. Could absolutely eat it daily.“
“If you like Korean BBQ wings, this is the place to go. The Galbi, Mala and Gangnam wings are my personal favorites. The secret sauce has a lot of flavors too! You can't really go wrong with anything. The chicken is halal too, if you're looking for halal options.Dietary restrictions: Great option for halal chicken wings.“
“This restaurant delivers what matters most. Great food and great service. The food is fresh and flavorful. There is a wide selection! I have just opted to go down the menu everything is good. And the front end staff is patient, friendly and aims to please. Well worth the ride for excellent take-out!“
“Since 2021, I've been a devoted patron of Swizzlers. I've introduced friends visiting from South Florida to this gem, and they were enamored with the food. During their stay, we frequented Swizzlers numerous times. Fast forward to today, and I still find myself drawn here daily, sometimes accompanied by my mom and other friends. The ambiance is electric, the staff incredibly welcoming, and the food downright delicious, especially when paired with a refreshing sweet tea. My frequent visits undoubtedly classify me as a regular; you'll likely spot me cruising around on my scooter. ?“
“Ok this place has amazing chicken sandwiches. In DC it’s this place and Roaming Rooster as my go to spots for chicken sandwiches. Every place else just doesn’t matter. I’ve been eating their sandwiches since their inception from the chef school kitchen on Columbia Pike. You can taste the love in their food.“
“I love this spot! It doesn't matter if you're dining in or ordering thru a food delivery service, the food will be fresh, beautifully presented & delicious! The pics I included is how it arrived to my house! Perfectly packed with care.“
“Really good chicken sandwich, very juicy and crispy. Ordered mild based on prior reviews, in hindsight would have ordered medium. Coleslaw and pickles were really good. Waffle fries were good but considering I was the only person in the restaurant, they were warm but not hot. Restaurant was freezing inside.“
“Bantam King is my go-to spot for a great meal when in downtown DC. I lived right by here for 2 years, and every time I went to Bantam King, I had a fantastic meal.I've eaten a ton of fried chicken in my life all over the US, and a decent amount across DC. I can absolutely say that their fried chicken platter is some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. I've also had the chicken ramen. Both my wife, who is a huge ramen lover, and I think it's fantastic.I also enjoy the mint sweet tea, and the desserts are really good as well. The atmosphere is super fun as well, great for any small group or couples. You probably won't be able to get in with a massive group (it's a small space)...but that's not what this place is really for.I've eaten here on my birthday the past 2 years, and I see that continuing in the future.“
“The famous piri piri chicken chain from South Africa! I was excited to find this place but disappointed yet again. As it goes, chicken restaurants are usually overhyped by people who don’t know how to cook and/or have inferior palate. We have witnessed this many times: Chick Fila, for example. The chicken dishes are not bad considering that it is a chain. But the piri piri sauces they serve are sub par. All flavors taste the same. They are not even as good as the sauce you can pick up from the streets in Lisbon. They need to step up the game and bring the real piri piri sauce and get rid of those bland, uninspired ones.“
“Very delicious sandwich and good fries. My complaint is with the service. We ordered online and picked up the food. We paid extra .50 cents for each lettuce on each butger and got only one burger had lettuce. I also asked for Rooster sauce and honey mustard but instead received 6 honey mustard sauces. This was my first experience and I would eat here again for the food quality. Hopefully this was a one off.“
“My number one donut shop in history! !I bought this for breakfast around 9:30 in the morning. For the flavors, I purchased creme brûlée and maple bacon. Both flavors were delicious. The creme brûlée had a fluffy texture and the cream inside had a gentle sweetness.Maple bacon has a crispy bacon part with a nutty feel. But there's a nice hint of bacon in the aftertaste, which pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the maple. The two of us bought two and shared them.I think American donuts tend to be less sweet, but for Japanese people, I think it's sweet enough for each person to eat one.If it's near my home, it's a store I'd like to shop at frequently. It is recommended shop.“
“I love the food here! They have new sandwiches and dishes rolling out semi-regularly. It's a great mix of Sichuan and a great chicken sandwich. If you are afraid of spice I think the Hot Boy spice level is not too spicy at all! Just be warned it is a play off of nashville hot chicken sandwiches so the sandwiches are wetter than your average chicken sandwich. The Taj ma hot and the Hot Boy deluxe-club sandwich are my go to orders, the Ube coffee is a nice creamy sweet treat as well. Service is overall good, the person working the front is nice and patient, you can order at the kiosk. Sometimes the food takes some time because they fry and prepare everything right after you order so it stays fresh, but it is worth the wait!Dietary restrictions: The chicken is HalalParking: This location is in the Ballston mall so their is a convenient parking garage attached to the building. There is also free street parking if you can find it.Kid-friendliness: Has non-spicy options for kids and fun drinks.“
“Best chicken ever! So thick and perfectly cooked. Waffles are light and sweet. Honey mustard and bbq sauce on point! Don’t even get me started on the homemade banana pudding—incredible meal, friendly staff and great quality for the money. Definitely going “
“Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“
“In this unassuming spot lies your next tasty meal. We shared a combo #8 with a chicken and a seekh (ground beef) kabob with rice, small salad of lettuce/cucumbers/onions, chana (chickpeas) and roti (bread). Had a fresh mango lassi to go with it and ate it too fast to take a picture. It was plenty of food for us to share and enjoy. Don’t expect much of the decor - it’s the food and the kind people that make this place great.“
“Known for their digestive system disruptive Code Blue chicken sandwiches, this review covers the flavors of the sauces and dishes instead of the self-torture. Is the chicken really tasty? No! The sandwiches? Yes! They use white meat chicken filets that are big, thick, and moistened with brine. The filets have a plain chicken flavor with a hint of salt water. Since the filet is big, this plain flavor makes up a good part of the flavor in their dishes. With that in mind, let's see where the flavors are coming from. They have 6 spice levels. The heat comes from chile powders, applied twice. First, it is added to their Love sauce, which the cooked chicken is dipped in. Then, the powder is dusted onto the sauce coated chicken. The ingredients listed are the ones that contribute to the heat. Many other ingredients make up the flavor profile of their Love sauce, such as salt, sugar, onion powder, spices, etc. 1) Classic has no heat. 2) Level 1 is paprika and mild cayenne. 3) Level 2 is jalapeño and hot cayenne. It's about 100,000 Scoville heat units (SHU). 4) Level 3 is habanero pepper and mitmita powder. It's about 300,000 SHU. Mitmita is an Ethiopian spice blend of bird's eye chile, salt, cardamom, cloves, and other seasonings. 5) Code Red has ghost pepper, mitmita, and berbere. It's about 1 million SHU. Berbere is an Ethiopian spice blend of fenugreek, ginger, and red chile pepper with warm spices. 6) Code Blue has Carolina reaper pepper, Trinidad scorpion pepper, ghost pepper, mitmita, and berbere. It's about 2 million SHU. Orders are placed on a kiosk. They have 2 kiosks located in front of the wall menu. The wall menu doesn't list everything that they have. Their sauce descriptions were useless, so I wrote descriptions down below for the 4 sauces that we got. We bought 3 dishes. 1) Sando sandwich Breaded chicken breast filet, ciderslaw, butter pickles, and comeback sauce in a potato bun with 2 choices of sauce. We got this at Level 1. It wasn't hot. The sandwich was large (5.5 inches in diameter). The chicken was moist and tender with a typical white meat flavor and a hint of brine. The thin, crispy coating was well-seasoned with a touch of spiciness. The bun was soft and moist with a typical flavor. The ciderslaw had cabbage, red onions, vinegar, salt, sugar, and seasonings. It works in the sandwich, but I wouldn't buy it as a side. The slaw has juices that drip out, so make sure to cover the bottom. The breading, slaw, and comeback sauce give this sandwich flavor. We poured sauce on EACH bite to overcome the bland chicken. The chicken itself needs a marinade. The owner used to claim that the chicken filets were marinated in buttermilk, shio koji, spices, salts, mirin, and saké. That's not happening now! That's a pity. It must have been great. 2) Michael sandwich It had breaded chicken filet, mushrooms, monteray jack, cheddar, mozzarella, and slices of red and green chile peppers in a potato bun with 2 choices of sauce. We got this at Classic level. This was the same size as the Sando. The chicken and breading were the same as above. The chiles were not very hot. This was tastier than their Sando because the cheeses added more flavor and savoriness. It still needed sauce. I prefer this over the Sando. 3) Burrito Grilled chicken, egg, cheese, and rice in a flour tortilla with 2 choices of sauce. We got this at level 2. It wasn't very hot because there wasn't enough chile powder in it. Only the meat had some. The chicken was breast meat that was moist, tender, and seasoned. The egg was cooked over-medium. The melted cheese tasted like a blend. The rice was lightly seasoned. We added Somi sauce, which was flavorful and complementary. Overall, the blend of flavors was satisfying. Here are the 4 sauces that we tried. They were in condiment cups with lids. It costs extra for more than 2 per entree. 1) Comeback sauce It had mayo, ketchup, and sweet relish. It was thick and heavy on mayo flavor. 2) Mumbo sauce It was very sweet, peppery, and slightly tangy with fla“
“This is my first visit to this location of Hot Lola’s. I had a three piece tender basket. The chicken was nice and hot and fresh, and the waffle fries were delicious! The service was a bit slow, especially given that there were no other customers, but all in all, a good experience.“
“Small but really clean restaurant with variety of different selections...you can even mixed 'n match your orders. The staff are really accomodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend. The chicken and fries were really good. I actually have had it before over a friend's house this was my first time actually visiting the location.“
“Delicous food and excellent service. The chicken pita and coleslaw side were delicous. The ingredients tasted very fresh, and the dishes were very nicely prepared. The perfectly crafted cappucino was delightful. The staff was very friendly and professional. There was plenty of seating and only a small wait even though there were many customers enjoying lunch.Update: Nando's Peri-Peri is still one of the best lunch options in the Ballston neighborhood. The chicken is cooked and spiced perfectly. The sides delicious and healthy. The tumeric cauliflower and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The dining area is bright and spacious. The location is very convenient.“
“The hubby and I went yesterday. We're back today. First, the food is made fresh to order, so if you're in a rush don't go. We had 3 meat over rice. It was good. The gizzards were hot and seasoned well plus they reheat good. It's definitely a good spot to pick up and go.“
“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. The service was fantastic. She informed me on the specials and how the coffee doughnut was made.“
“I think this is really a bar. We were looking for salmon in the area,(google) was offered this place. They had salmon but only bar food to go with it. The Salmon was poorly cooked and the waitress wasn't paying attention because my partner never got his Salmon(might have been a good thing cause it was poorly cooked)$80 for 1 piece of Salmon a basket of fries and 2 shots. Maybe they shouldn't open till 9p or 10 pm cause if you think you gonna get dinner you may get a surprise, I wonder why google offered this place as a dinner place maybe the restaurant pick the wrong label . idk“
“As we have only ordered delivery (multiple times), I can’t speak to the friendliness of service or the atmosphere, but the food from here has yet to disappoint. The chicken sandwich combo is what we all end up getting almost every time. Don’t overexaggerate your taste for spicy-ness, as this is one of the more potent chicken sandwiches you can get.“
“very rarely give five ★ ☆ ✰ ✮ ✯ but this location deserves it.Ginele deserves a raise!the customer service is exceptional.the staff are attentive, friendly and thoughtful even on busy days.the food is always on point and orders come out quickly.definitely leading the way for nando’s locations in the DMV.“
“The staff at this location was good, but the quality of the food was a problem. I ordered 2 salads and the lettuce on the salads was old and the spring mix and spinach were wilted. We had to pick a lot of it out. The meat however was flavorfully and tasty. The 2 side orders were tasty as well. As far as atmosphere, the floors were sticky and needed a good cleaning. The glass partition also needed to be cleaned. Overall, a little cleaning and attention to the food would have changed the whole experience.“
“Hi everyone,It's been a while but I'm back. My family and I love this place. The food is very flavorful and the sides shocked me as they are as good as they look. I had only had yellow rice (arroz Amarillo.. hopefully I spelled that correctly). In Dominican Republic but this rice when smothered in sauteed onions is amazing. I'm about half way through trying everything on the menu and the only thing that wasn't what I expected was the rotisserie chicken. It wasn't bad just not as amazing as my favorite spot. Look out for its review if I haven't already. Oh and if you hablo español then you will surely appreciate this place.Vegetarian options: The veggies are seasoned very well. And I'm from the South if that matters.Parking: Shopping center provides ample parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yes it is wheel chair accessible“
“The food was fine, but damn, the service was on point. The ladies who work there are so hospitable. It was awesome. I had been to this Nando's many many years ago and the ladies who worked here back then were **awful** - SO rude. Now it's like night and day. Keep up the good work, Nando's!“
“I'm loyal to this place. The only place in SE DC that makes delicious real Thai food. They cater to my food intolerance and allergies.Dietary restrictions: Simply let them know about any food allergies and intolerance so they may accommodate you or make recommendations.“
“Good but not great. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic. So was the honey mustard and sweet potato fries. The service was fast and friendly. Emphasis on fast. The chicken was just good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the breading and it was a touch dry. Not anything terrible, but I’ve had better. It was good enough where I would give it another chance. Overall, positive experience and I would recommend it to a friend!“
“This Nando's was ok...not the best, not the worst. Their chicken wings were really small, but, to their credit, they recognized that and have my daughter an extra wing to make up for it. And, although Nando's has a line selling their sauces, they don't sell them all. I love the mango lime sauce, but they don't sell that one.Parking: There is a paid parking lot about 100 yards away.Kid-friendliness: I saw several families with small children who seemed to navigate the restaurant well.“
“Catherine Wagner, is exceptional. Her customer service skills are in 1000, she is very polite, friendly and always positive. She is the only reason I come to the 7th Street NW location and have been coming here since they opened this location.“
“Been here twice now. Ordered chicken sandwich both times. First time was right after they opened and was subpar. Chicken was fatty and sandwich soggy. Second time was 10x better! Crispy, nice meaty chicken breast and perfect amount of sauce. Very happy! Definitely worth giving it a try.A bit expensive as it is $15 for a combo but portion sizes are very large and you won’t be hungry after.I always get the Hot level of spice which is just enough for me to feel and make my lips tingle. That being said, I love spicy foods and basically drink habanero sauce. Next time I will try the Extreme heat.“
“Best chicken on the highway!!! You will NOT be disappointed! Guys try to chickpeas it's on point! The yuca yummy yummy ? the staff is very friendly, the owner is A+ he come to your table makes sure th service is upto par, something that you don't see nowadays. The music in this restaurant......you just want to get up and start dancing. Capital chicken you have a fan!!!!“
“Spicebird is a take-out place inside Makan. Ordered the half chicken with two sides - chicken n wood ear mushroom and the cold noodles. Additional two sides of the crispy potato and fried rice. Although all 4 were great, I loved the chicken n friend rice most. $18 for the half chicken and two sides is a great value meal and the ingredients were fresh! Loved itVegetarian options: This is mostly a non-vegetarian place. There maybe a side or two with veg options“
“Just had the golden curry chicken wings, it was really good, just a bit of spice to it. Only complaint was I didn't receive a text letting me know the food was ready, I'm still giving em a 5 star rating though because the food was really good.“
“I have been patronizing Chick-fil-A Crystal City for over 3 years. It is my favorite Chick-fil-A location due to the excellent staff who always goes above and beyond. Every member works very hard to keep customers like me happy. Ulda & Evelin keep the restaurant spotless, and it has been a pleasure to get to know Brenda, Latrell & Ronald. I always look forward to my visits for excellent food and service.“
“Good tasting food. In general, the service of cashiers for foreigners is a bit annoying for them. Great table service. The delicious chicken; the spectacular vegetarian dishVegetarian options: SpectacularKid-friendliness: It is not a space for children. Limited space for them and not so wide hallways“
“I love this chick-fil-a. There's a lot of workers there that don't make you just stand there, but actually ask you for extra things, smile, and just generally give off positive energy. I'm really grateful that this is the nearest Chick-fil-a to me because even if it weren't, I'd probably still go here just for the amazing employees. The floors are cleaner than I thought too.“
“This is some of the BEST (and only) authentic Latin American food in DC! The fresh pupusas are some of the best things I've every eaten (I would have attached a picture but I finished them so quickly!). If you're looking for authentic Latin American and El Salvadorian food in DC, this is THE spot!“
“Went twice in two days because of how good the food is. Portion size is good as well. Service lacked a little the second time we went as we had to get our own silverware and napkins versus when we went the first time when they brought those items to our table. But the food is amazing, so we will definitely return.“
