“Everything here was amazing. Starting with the service, Dean our server was knowledgeable, welcoming and professional. Every cocktail I had was refreshing. The lamb chops were like no other before and I won’t eat lamb chops anywhere else, the salmon was seasoned perfectly…all the desserts were to die for. Every staff member was attentive from the host, bartender, server and manager I could not have asked for a better place for a quick date night.“
“One of the most memorable meals we’ve had. My wife is Lebanese and made a reservation for us following a Tiny Desk concert in DC. We seek out Lebanese cuisine whenever we can and ililli has such refined takes on classic Lebanese dishes. The service and food were impeccable. Will be at the top of our list every time we’re in DC moving forward. A++.“
“Really a 4.5 star experience due to service. Abs no complaints about the food and vibes, as I would 100% come back to try more dishes. Only my second time trying Afghan food, and once again it was delicious. We got a couple dishes to share including the qabuli palow (pilaf rice with lamb and the national dish of Afghanistan), buranee bademjan (egg plant dish), and the shrimp dumplings. All of these dishes were good and would definitely want to come back to try more of the menu! We were in the downstairs area, which was cute and still felt well lit. Didn't feel like a basement haha. The service was fine, but it was not five star service. Our server was clearly really busy and running around a lot, so every moment with her felt rushed. There were several times where I was going to ask a follow up question or ask for water or something, and she would run off before I could get my question out haha. Unfortunately that is dropping this down to closer to a 4.5 star experience. Would love to come back though and try the menu again!“
“My first time trying this place, I was on my way to work running late...stop to grab tacos to go...but I sat down to eat just ONE taco and told myself I'll save the rest for work....a long story short, i ended up late for work because i couldnt stop eating the rest of my food...the food was so good i couldnt get UP, i had to finish the rest, it was so DELICIOUS...!!!! BEST TACOS IN LAUREL!! ?“
“We’ve heard nothing, but good things about this place and finally made the time to drive out to it from Maryland. It was so worth the trip. The food was amazing! Authentic Egyptian cuisine (validated by the Egyptian who tried everything on the menu)! Make sure to try okra with lamb tagine.Vegetarian options: Koshary! You can’t go to an Egyptian restaurant and not try the vegetarian dish. There’s also lentils and dishes without meat.“
“Me and my friend were looking all over DC to eat a late dinner and everything was closed! We found the amazing Dolan restaurant and they treated us so kindly by letting us eat past their closing time. They served excellent food and even though we were a bit late they still cooked everything fresh and Kadir our waiter was respectful and most of all so kind to us. We really loved this place for how beautiful the decorations are and the yummy food! Recommend 100% oh and the baklava was genuinely an out of body experience“
“Excellent food and customer service! It's the first visit and definitely not the last. Their food it's fresh and with a lot of flavor! We came as a large group and we all tried different dishes. The mixed grill (delicious), combo rice bowl (amazing), hummus (creamy and authentic), chicken (soft and flavorful) and stuffed grape leaves (tasty). Make sure you try both of their sauces, so so so good! Didn't get a chance to take a picture as we were eating as soon as the food touched the table :).The staff checked how was the food and if we needed anything during our visit.Overall, this will be our place to go for good food! You must try it, and you won't regret!“
“I have been to Halal Palace twice, both times I ordered the chicken kabobs which came with rice, salad, bread and chickpeas. The food is delicious, generous portions. I like the little things they add, a lime slice to the salad and the charred jalapeno. The restaurant is not visible from the street and is tucked away at the corner of Georgia and Thayer. I would recommend!“
“If you’re in the mood for good barbecue, this is your spot. It’s way above average for mall food. I got the brisket sandwich and mac and cheese. The barbecue sauce was the cherry on top. The bun comes with their logo stamped on it! Super Cool! This will not disappoint! The service was excellent, the owner and staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall my experience was great!“
“This was my favorite place to go at the beginning of the year. It’s a great hangout place, the food came fast, and it was really clean! I love how affordable it is and that their potion sizes are fair.Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat red meat so this was a nice alternative from places that always mostly have burgers.“
“Food was pretty good but I wouldn't say incredible. Service is friendly but for whatever reason, the restaurant only does happy hour at the bar and not at the tables. That was quite annoying. My lamb biryani was pretty good and elevated by the cucumber raita. The portion sized looked small when it first arrived but I was actually quite full by the time I finished. The garlic naan was soft and flavorful.“
“Sheba is a little off the beaten path, tucked in the middle of a small strip shopping center with very limited parking. However, if you can navigate your way here, the cuisine and service that awaits is well worth the effort.Featured on the menu are various combos of meats and vegetables, stewed or simmered in aromatic sauces. You can also order many of the combo elements as separate entrees. The Ethiopian iced tea was delicious. It is served unsweetened, leaving that decision up to the customer. Service was rock solid without being obtrusive. Prices were fair given the geography. Note that no lunch specials exist on weekends, apparently.I can imagine the dining room being packed on weekend evenings, but the teeny, shared parking lot would get crowded first and might be a useful guide. We certainly plan to be back.Vegetarian options: lots of choicesParking: Tiny, shared parking lot with tight spaces. Allow time to hunt for off-street parking.“
“I eat here once or twice a week and it's consistently great. They serve huge portions of delicious food and the staff is super nice. You can't go wrong here if you're in the mood for or something fast, tasty, and inexpensive. Lamb/chicken with rice or the gyro are my go-to and they never disappoint. Bonus points because the owner looks a bit like Lou Ferrigno“
“Amazing chicken and just to warn you it is extra spicy. We got the medium and hot chicken sandos and the medium is hot and the hot is extra hot. We had the entire medium and half of the hot one. We also got mild and medium chicken tenders as well as the hot and extra hot chicken bites and my wife had a hot one and it was quite hot and well save the extra hot and rest of food for tomorrow for dinner. We got UberEats BOGO deals which made the food very cheap. So glad we tried Hangry Joes!“
“I ordered the lamb shank qabuli pulaw via Door dash. My entire meal was so delicious! The lamb was tender, the chickpeas were how I like them, and the pulaw was tasty. The carrots in the pulaw seemed to be very sweet. I wonder if they add sugar to the carrots while cooking. I hope not! I can’t wait to try other dishes in their menu. I also thought it was reasonably priced.“
“All vibes. Esthetics were dope..especially for us hoop heads! Wings with the house sauce are a must order. All staff were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Service was fast considering the amount of orders while we were there. Would definitely return again and would recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in the DC area.“
“Ordered off DoorDash, wanted pizza and wings but from a place I’ve nvr tried. I ordered the small cheese pizza and 5 hot lemon pepper wings. Wings was a little too saucy, but still good and pizza was great. Taste very similar to Ledos pizza which is one of my favs. I will definitely be ordering again to try the chicken gyro!“
“I had the chance to order platters for an event, and they truly surpassed my expectations. The platters were beautifully arranged, and the guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. I was also thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure the food was ready for pickup on short notice.“
“Halal Brothers is one of the best hidden gems in Silver Spring! I always get the delicious chicken over rice. The chicken is always ultra fresh and perfectly cooked, portions are large, the white sauce and spicy sauces are incredible, it's balanced with the perfect amount of rice and greens, the price is low cost, and the owners are very friendly and kind. Highly recommend to all!“
“Everything was fine enough. I liked it overall but I can’t honestly give it five stars. I got the vegan option and it just seemed like it was subpar compared to the meat options. In DC especially vegan options are always as good and as good as non vegan options and it just wasn’t so “
“We visited this place for lunch today and were truly impressed by the quality of the food and customer service that we received. We tried the hlawa puri, chai, samosa and tandoori goat. Everything was excellent and fresh. We will definitely return back to try more items.“
“I've been fortunate enough to have this catered to our office from vendors that come in. My coworker and I decided to venture out to the restaurant ourselves one day for lunch.Olvin was incredible with helping both of us order. Very detailed in his knowledge of the food. We were so impressed with how well he helped us and was able to describe the different options. We both found the food and service was top tier. We were able to get a brochure for our office which I passed off to my office manager who does all the ordering. We are sure to order this in the near future for our team! The price is amazing for the range of food you get and everything we got previously was all phenomenal.“
“Authentic Desi food. BIG PORTIONS It is so tasty and spicy. We asked for spicy food and it had good amounts of spice. HALAL FOOD People are so nice here. They give complimentary chai They give more food than you are expecting and the portions are really big. Two people can get full easily. The place is in a small plaza called trinity square“
“There is no better experience than trying something totally new and having it turn out beyond expectations. In my case, eating a Nepalese dish at Himalayan Doko for the first time in my life has produced that satisfaction in me. It was not only the extraordinary taste of the food but the extremely friendly attention of the staff that would make me return to this place a thousand times. I loved the atmosphere, the decoration that reflects its tradition, and the neatness. It will definitely be a must stop whenever you have the opportunity to visit Washington DC.There is no better experience than trying something totally new and having it turn out beyond expectations. “When I first came to Shah’s, I did not know if it would be better than the competition. After taking my first bite, I instantly knew, that shahs halal was the greatest things Allah has ever created. Easily the greatest chicken and lamb platter I have ever had in my life. The greatest.“
“This place was amazing! I was initially confused at the concept of a virtual kitchen but they explained it once I got there, very nice people. I ordered the samosas, delicious and just my level of spicy. Now the tandoori chicken wings were way past my level of spicy. Had to pass those over to my wife. The chicken kabob was very tender and the chick peas were so moist. I'm rarely in College Park but this will be a reason to go back.“
“The sweet lassi, yesterday, was a bit like a slush, but had a good flavor. Goat curry was really rich, and had a really good spice profile. A little bit on the oiler side.I honestly liked the rice with the goat curry more than I did on the mutton biryani, which I was a bit disappointed by. The biryani did not have the biryani spice to make it biryani, and the goat pieces were a bit tough. I also had shami kabab, which was pretty good. The guy who took our order was pretty nice, and offered recommendations for drinks.I do plan on returning, but not for the biryani, which could be improved by adding the biryani spice and chilis for a bit of a kick. Maybe, also putting a little bit of broth would have helped to give it a fluff. Maybe I'm biased since my mom makes biryani at home, but unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with their mutton biryani.“
“Delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced food in Ballston is a rare treasure. The platters can easily feed two people and are protein-packed no matter which option you choose. The naan and chickpeas are especially wonderful. We'll absolutely be coming back again!!“
“Simply delicious and tastes so awesome. I drove past by so many times but never gave a try at this food truck. I was surprised by the quantity and quality of the food. Must try chicken over rice, I have posted the picture of the plater as well.“
“Food was fresh, cooked to perfection and served with grace! I had the chicken kabob with rice, salad and bread. In addition I ordered a side of curry chickpeas. My daughter had the wrap served with krinkle fries and soda. If your in the area stop by here for authentic kabobs!!!Vegetarian options: Veggies, curries, rice and salad options“
“The food I ordered (lamb & goat w/ rice) was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ginger & pineapple drink is made with a kick of a spicy ingredient but it is very refreshing.Overall you get a good portion for your money.Be patient, the service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait.“
“I placed an online order for pick-up. The site was very user friendly, I had no issues placing my order. When I arrived at the restaurant, the employees were super kind and greeted me right away. It was very clean inside and super cute.My food was made right away and I took it home. It was still hot. Very delicious. Highly recommend this place. I ordered the panang curry with chicken. This was my first time here and it won’t be my last.“
“First time here. The food was really fresh and there are many options for proteins and toppings. I built my own bowl and was happy to learn it came with unlimited toppings. It was easy to choose healthy options or just go all out for a delicious high calorie meal. We will definitely be coming back many more times.“
“I always have a positive experience when I visit the Laurel location. The food is always fresh and delicious. Also, the customer service is top notch. Madelyn was very friendly and accommodating. One of my favorite eateries.Vegetarian options: The falafel is very tasty and there are a large variety of vegetables to select for your bowl.“
“I haven't been here in almost a decade as I moved jobs around 7 years ago. I had time off and thought, it's a beautiful day, I miss having lunch at Ballston and sitting outdoors with Mr. Khan's chicken Biryani dish with channa. I hope this cart is still operating. Looking into the questions here, and a review from several months ago, I wasn't sure as it seemed Mr. Khan had some health issues. I texted the number listed on the yelp page, and he responded immediately that he would be operating on Wednesday. I went today, and his food is still delicious and brought back memories. Most people will eat here b/c they are walking around and see a cart outdoors. For a destination like my situation, you'd want to text him the morning of to see if he's operating or not. Support him as he's coming back from a major medical procedure and his food is still delicious!“
“Ordered to go and the food came pretty hot and sauced and I got all the sauces on the side even tho I didn't ask for it which is nice. The rice and chicken were good veggies were crisp red sauce is hot green was like a mild sauce and the white sauce I feel like is good but not as good as some other white halal sauces I've had. I would def try its affordable healthy quick and large portions.“
“Me and husband recently got food from this carry out spot during a late night after we finished a concert in DC. The food was tasting delicious and fresh, even though it was late night!?The staff were nice as well. Please give this spot a try, if you get the chance!?“
“I went on a Sunday evening so the atmosphere would probably be better during the week.Very professional and friendly service. Food was very good. I had falafel to start and then the salmon, which was slightly overpriced. Nice glass of Lebanese white wine.Would definitely go back.“
“I ordered Lagman, eggplant salad and Samsa (to-go).Lagman is very authentic, despite it tastes a little plain probably because of too many noodles or not enough sauce. The texture and the hardness of Lagman noodles taste exactly like what I had in Xinjiang. It also has the veggie and meat mix with sauce in a separate bowl. You can pull it over the noodles. That’s what should be for Lagman. I’ve tried other Uyghur restaurants and they pre-mixed the sauce with noodles, which impacts the texture of the noodles.Eggplants are a little burnt on the outside. But they are good overall. They tend to add extra vinegar to the veggies, which is normal for Uyghur food.Samsa is good, though a bit on the pricey side for $8ish (2pc).I may come back to try other dishes.“
“First time visiting Roaming Rooster. The food was excellent, customer service was great, and surprisingly, they were playing old school hip-hop (The Bridge Is Over by BDP). The fries were boardwalk style. The additional sauces were a pleasant surprise. I ordered the honey butter with medium heat with oreo milkshake and the buffalo mild with half-and-half. The ice machine was broken, but the owner or manager mentioned going next door to accommodate us. Needless to say, we'll be back to try other selections.“
“10 out of 10 out of 10. The food is so fresh and seasoned well. The restaurant is clean with a lot of seating. I ordered a falafel sandwich...So delicious and filling. They customized my sandwich and made it extra spicy for me. LOVED THIS SANDWICH. Perfect lunch spot! The staff are super friendly. Definitely a place I'll be returning.“
“Sacrificial Lamb is my go-to spot for takeout Indian/Pakistani cuisine in the neighborhood! Every time I order from them, I'm blown away by the quality and taste of their food. The butter chicken is simply divine, with its creamy texture and perfectly cooked chicken pieces. It's like a taste of heaven in every bite, and it's always consistent, even when enjoying it from the comfort of my own home.Their veggie pakora is also a standout dish for takeout. Despite being packaged for travel, the pakoras retain their crispiness and flavorful goodness, making them a delightful appetizer to enjoy before diving into the main course. Sacrificial Lamb's attention to detail and dedication to delivering delicious food make them my top choice for Indian takeout in the area. If you're craving authentic Indian or Pakistani flavors for takeout, look no further than Sacrificial Lamb!“
“They probably have one of the best karahis in the DC area. It’s a small place but the staff is really attentive and friendly, more than some of the so called major chain restaurants. I would recommend the karahi, chicken tikka, chapli kebab, gol guppa, and falooda. Also really like their naan my favorite. All the food tastes fresh and has a lot of flavor.“
“Honestly I was a little scared from everyone’s reviews, but this was pretty good to be like a quick take-out Indian spot. Flavor was 7/10 (not your mom & pop but decent), Service 10/10 the guy there was very kind I should’ve got his name but he looked pretty young.I ordered the new Spicy Chicken bowl, Garlic Naan & Mango Lassi sorbet, the sauce on the side is Mint Cilantro (Total: $22)“
“So tasty, such a good value. The half chicken platter with rice and two sides is an amazing deal and SO delicious, as is their daily special (love their butter chicken and chana masala, also love their cabbage). I also love their burgers, hits the spot for when you just want that. Their Pakistani food is great, their American food is great. Been coming here since I was an undergrad at Howard and now I'm a med student here- this place survived covid for a reason and I'm so grateful it did. So so solid“
“We chose this restaurant because it has many vegan and gluten free items on the menu. It is a small family run establishment. We dined in and all of the food was fresh and tasty. It was as good, if not better, than any of the other Indian restaurants in Bethesda. The dhosas and naan were excellent! this will be our new go to spot for Indian food in Bethesda.“
“Even though it is a hike for us from Virginia to MD, we can't help but make the trip at least once a month. Halal food aside, it is simply one of the best Chinese food places around.Vegetarian options: There are many. They are super flexible in a la carte style preparation if you just tell what you wantParking: Plenty available any time i visit“
“Don’t sleep on this place! I come to the area every Sunday and I’ve never entered this place until today! So much regrets. This place is going to be my regular place to eat at on Sundays! The food is simply the *bomb*! Sooo much flavors, always so fresh, there are so many options! The price is reasonable too. Definitely my new favorite!“
“Enjoyed RASA opening day in Crystal City, Arlington, National Landing location. Many dining options with classic bowls and DIY selections. Food is superb and inexpensive, staff is fast, efficient and friendly. Start off with cocktails, blended with masala, cardamom, tamarind. Try the masala chai soft serve. Look forward to return visits, best wishes for continued success.“
“The food is so Delicious ! We ordered the combo over rice and the combo gyro w/ extra white sauce from the Takoma park / Weahton location .We will be ordering again . The delivery was perfect and right on time. :) I highly recommend Naz's Hala .“
