“I consider Jackie and the crew at Hook & Reel Wheaton to be friends of mine. I work close by and pop in at the bar often. The Happy Hour, which starts at 1PM (yes, you read that correctly) has insanely low prices, and the "pour" on both glasses of wine and cocktails are unmatched. Great ambience, clean as a whistle, a ton of regulars at the bar and a Touchtunes jukebox on the wall to bring your own soundtrack with you. What's not to LOVE about this place? 🍷🍹🥂🍻🦀”

If you are looking for the best bang-for-your-buck Chinese carryout in the area, look no further than Panda Wok. The C6 Spare Ribs Chinese Special Combination Platter is an absolute standout, packed with a generous portion of ribs, roast pork fried rice, and an egg roll. As someone who eats a whole lot, I am consistently impressed by the size of their portions. They do not skimp out on the meat or the rice, and the food easily earns a perfect 5/5 for taste and value. I always end up having plenty of leftovers for the next day.
While the food steals the show, the service and atmosphere are a bit more average, sitting at a 3.5/5. It is a classic, no-frills carryout spot that gets the job done quickly, but you aren't coming here for a high-end dine-in vibe. One minor thing to keep in mind if you are ordering is that the parking lot can get pretty tricky and tight during busy peak hours.
Overall, I give Panda Wok a solid 4/5 stars. For the price, it is hands down the best Chinese carryout spot in the area, and it has officially secured its place as my go-to neighborhood favorite.”

My drink came out pretty quick, I sat down for a little and everyone else’s drinks came out pretty fast too. Crispy, airy outside with a hot, sweet, ube rich filling. The spaghetti has a seeet tang and was delightfully unique. The chicken definitely competes with some of the best like Popeyes. Only complaint is that it’s a bit pricey for fast food chicken.”

“Of the three main Chinese Restaurants in Wheaton, I rank this one the best. Especially good are vegetable dishes including tofu and Chinese broccoli. The roasted pork is also excellent. Prices are moderate, dishes averaging $20 each. The fish filet dishes are fairly tasty, perhaps a little too spicy and a bit overcooked. Overall, this is a good place for parties up to ten, with a couple of large round tables and a lazy Susan, accommodating families up to 9. There is also a large variety of authentic Mandarin cuisine such as pork belly. The hot and sour soup is quite excellent.”

She really paid attention to what I asked for and just somehow made it better than I expected😭.
