“Went back to Baltimore since moving away. Went to Thames because we heard it was the best place to go in Fells Point. It was amazing. Our group shared and tried just about everything on the menu from Appetizers, Mains, and Desserts, including the Raw Oysters. We loved everything that they offered. It was quite busy but we were taken care of like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Teresa was just wonderful and knew the menu inside and out. She was such a Sweet Heart. “The service and food was absolutely amazing! I drove in from Buffalo NY to watch the ravens beat chiefs. While that didn’t happen the one bright spot was deciding to give Angie’s a try. The food was absolutely amazing! The crab dip, the crab cakes, my 16oz ribeye smothered in the most perfectly cooked scallops, shrimp, fresh crab meat. It was phenomenal. I can’t remember his name but the guy waiter we had as well was a cool guy. He walked around when he had a minute and had conversations with all the customers so I left an extra tip. Next season when I’m back in town I will be paying them a visit again!“

The Causa de Pollo was extraordinary with a kick of lime in the chicken salad. Enough for 2. The family half chicken [white meat] filled the plate with two pieces of chicken, inches high. The herbs made the chicken taste wonderful. We took some home. Tres Leches for dessert was the best I ever had in Cuban, Spanish, or Portuguese restaurants. More than enough for 2. We ordered the pork chop and the halibut, but everyone got something different. The apps and cocktails were also well crafted and delicious. “A fantastic find! We wandered in on a Thursday night without a reservation and were seated promptly. The food arrived quickly and was quite delicious. Our waiter Raphael was very attentive and a pleasant conversationalist. We enjoyed the stuffed calamari, Dover sole, and lobster pasta. All were very delicious. I elected to filet the Sole myself, but please note that it does come bone-in. The stuffed calamari is not the little calamari bites, but is the size of a chicken breast. The lobster pasta is very fresh, and the sauce has a sweet acidity that is to die for. Will return again!“

The waitress Tianna handled us like an experienced professional. Food came out in a timely manner and was prepared perfect. They also allowed us to decorate prior to start of event. I love to see black owned businesses ran right with a good attitude staff. They are rare but this is one of them. I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely consider them in the future.“

I had a soft shell crab special and my dinner guest had the famous crab cakes that were wonderful. Yes, I got a hunk of bread in the piece of crab cake he shared, but it was delicious anyway and I could see that the cake was predominantly lump meat. For dessert, we had the locally made ice cream that is phenomenal. The flavor "Beautiful Struggle" (I think?) is a tangy, delicious berry-flavor that is like sherbet on steroids. It struggles to be ice cream vs sorbet and it's amazing. So is the chocolate.We had the whole main entrance room to ourselves on a Saturday evening which was great as we had a service animal escort, which was welcomed and accommodated beautifully. So appreciated! Highly recommend Pappas... you'll have a tough time running out of options no matter how often you visit. I'm looking forward to a Steak Chesapeake. Don't forget that across the intersection is their takeout place! And, if the generous parking happens to somehow be full, it's OK to overflow there. Everything was so delicious and fresh! I would like to see more info on the food packaging such as ingredients and nutrients. Also, I tried to microwave the containers-- not a great idea! Lol. Also, would love to see some low sodium options. I will be back to see what Lovejoy's has every couple of weeks when I need a break from cooking again. When I tell you that was the FRESHEST, most DELICIOUS raw seafood I’ve ever had… I swear, I devoured the entire platter! But… let me just say this… CRAB. DIP. So creamy, cheesy, seasoned and the crab had the perfect sweetness. It was amazing! The bread paired with it was also amazing as a companion and even by itself.Service was exceptional. “My husband and I live in TN and called and spoke with John about an odd request to order some Sour Beef and Dumplings to get to his 104 year old great grandfather, who lives on the eastern shore by Ocean City, where there are no places with good sour beef and dumplings. John was an absolute delight to speak with and he was absolutely happy to help us out. We made arrangements that when one of his family members or employees went out that way for any vacations, they would drop it off to the house for us. Several weeks had gone by, but one day I had received a phone call from John saying that he was going to the beach the following week and would still be happy to prepare the food and drop them off for us. We were so pleased that he remembered and that it was still something that he was willing to do for complete strangers. After that, everything went as planned and not only did he drop them off, but he went inside and showed him how to put it all together. My husband's great grandfather was surprised and so happy, and he loved his food! We will forever appreciate the work this man has done to help our family with this odd request.
