“I stop eating from them for about 6 yrs because they feel off. I just started coming back to see how they are in my opinion it's a hit and miss I guest they have different chefs the greens are salty and the the fish you get is to small pieces like they cut the fish in half and sometimes its not fresh you should get the whole piece of fish you pay $20 for a dinner you want it to be worth it.“

“This is by far the best chicken and fish place in Baltimore. The fastest selling item is the macaroni and cheese. People are coming in and ordering just macaroni and cheese sometimes and they're ordering extra on the side with their meal. And the cabbage is to die for oh my god I don't know what he puts in the cabbage but it's great. If you're looking for a place to get some good soul food this is it!“

“The food did not disappoint. I've heard so much about this place that I could not decide what to order. It came out pretty quickly. I had collard greens, sweet potatoes and akara (fried black eyed peas). My friend said the sweet potatoes tasted "healthy" but isn't that why we eat here? I mean...I would go back again. There's modest decor and the space could use a little brightening but I enjoyed my food so much! I'll be back and I'll recommend to everyone -- not only vegans.“

“Found them after searching Google, read the reviews and decided to try for myself. My family and I were visiting B'more from Ohio. I got the smothered turkey wings, cabbage and sweet potatoes (oh can't forget about the pound cake) ?. My entire dish was delicious, more importantly the customer service was AWESOME!! “This was our first time at Ethel's. It's quite small, so the noise level is a bit high. But, that didn't matter. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Pricing is about what you might expect, not cheap but not over the top. I would definitely recommend Ethel's. And, we'll certainly be going back again.“

“From PA, we were a long way from home and starving. The food here was amazing! It is a take-out style restaurant (for now I think), but there's tables set up outside for your immediate dining. So delicious!!! We were stuffed! Service was as promised for a walk-in, only 20 minutes for a pretty nice size order. And while we were sitting, the door was revolving! Highly recommend! “I had a taste for soul food today and came across Ebony's Kitchen during a Google search and decided to give this a try. I called and Ebony and Tina answered my inquiries fully. My husband, son and me truly enjoyed experiencing all these flavorful foods. It was delicious and delightful. We ordered the chicken dinners with sides mac n cheese, candied yams and collards. “Finally had enough food from here to give it a review. Usually get the fried chicken, which is always on point. Tastes like a grandmother made it with love, and is always consistently good. Have had the fish and that’s good, and they give you a lot for the money. Decided to try the turkey wings yesterday and that’s what made me finally decide to write a review. “Took the toddler grands for lunch. We got A LOT of food for our money. The mac and cheese alone is worth the visit. Chicken was as good as I've had. I got the breast quarter plate. I wanna probably get a leg quarter next time. Sweet potato and muffin combine to make a serious sweet potato pie in your mouth. Owner and staff were great. “I stopped by for the first time on Easter Sunday after church! I enjoyed their newly updated decor and decided to take a few pictures while my food was being cooked. I met Ms. Tasha and Ms. Phaedra, and both ladies provided warm smiles and the highest level of customer service! A big smile from TIA opens the whole experience up while she brings you some water and the menus. I went for watermelon lemonade which is amazing for me. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Alfredo pasta and even met the Chef AJ, who made me feel like my order was a special one from the get.
