“My husband and I visited State Lunch recently and our experience was incredible… literally a perfect night out for us. The atmosphere is great, the bar is gorgeous! We started off with drinks, tried several margaritas, all delicious! Everything we ordered for dinner was cooked to perfection, the food options were unique and all amazing! … the waitstaff was very friendly and the owner makes himself a familiar face.. he makes it a point to stop by to say hello and make sure you’re enjoying yourselves… can’t wait to get back there! “Superb place for breakfast for the family. We found ourselves in Augusta during a family visit to Maine. Our hotel did not offer much for breakfast, so we looked for alternatives. Based on some reviews we decided on Bagel Mainea, and we were so glad we went. I had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese, and my wife and sons had breakfast bagels on salt bagels. We really enjoyed them, so much so that my son bought another half dozen bagels to take best to Boston. They also have really great coffee. It you are in the area, suggest you stop in.”

“Otto’s on the River was a true foodie experience. Our table of 5 ordered a few apps and entrees from steak to seafood to vegetarian. The table was very quiet once we started eating our meals. This was due to mouthfuls and chewing and sipping delicious cocktails and cold beers! Great wait staff and attention to detail. Nice atmosphere- relaxed, unhurried…highly recommend.”

Our pizza got sent to someone else (or they atleast got served long before us when they sat much after us) She was able to fix the whole situation and was very attentive ( as their oven shuts down from 3-4) we were worried we wouldnt get a pizza again in time. But she made it happen. Thank you Morgan.”

“Been a fan for 25+ years and only get a chance to eat there once a year due to living in northern Maine. Always pleasant staff but for some reason today when I asked my wife to stop in and grab me a Big Dave she also got herself an Italian. After paying she saw the Italian special to add a bag of chips and a soda and asked if she could pay the extra and get that and was told no because she had lettuce on her sandwich and that lettuce disqualified the lunch special. Sad that lettuce disqualifies a special but was told no other veggies disqualified it??? Sounds more like someone didn’t want to be bothered and was willing to pay the difference… just .59 cents. Got to do better”

“We do not recommend dinning in here as in our experience the service is far from good.. however the food was great! We will definitely order take out in the future but will not be returning to dine in. The server didn’t understand what my husband ordered (even though it was a beef enchilada) so he just put it in as a taco salad. So by the time he recieved the correct meal the rest of our party had already finished eating. The server didn’t ask if anyone would like a refill or another cocktail.”

“It's definitely not a fancy place, but it's cheap and they give you a ton of very good food. The orange chicken is extremely good and tastes unlike anything else I've ever eaten (in a good way). The menu is large and we have never had to wait long for our food

Last night we were shocked when we took the neighbors daughter's we were babysitting. We have done this in the past. The shock was the almost 70$ check for 2 adults and two little girls, 8 and 9. We will probably continue going but the little ones won't be with us. This is not a complaint, just a recent reality for many, many people.”
