“Portland Pie killing it with the pizza per usual and they don't skimp on the cheese; look at these breadsticks hold my fries this was good. The Nor' Easter is must try for anyone who likes the combination of blue cheese and Buffalo wings....like, you have to.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pies are greatParking: Big parking lotKid-friendliness: Kid options, great big restaurant with friendly atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, careful during the winter hours I saw ice on the sidewalk to the restaurant.“
“My Fiance and I came here for my birthday dinner and we were very impressed. We started off with the Meatballs and the Sourdough bread didnt lack in flavor and got us more excited for our entrees. Our server Rich was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We ordered the gnocchi and bolognese both were amazing the flavor combinations meshed and had our taste buds bouncing. We ordered the panna cotta, tiramisu, and another dessert with waffle cones and espresso and all 3 were spectacular!“
“First time in for my Girlfrienda birthday weekend and everything was 10/10. the focaccia with burrata was unbelievable. Both of our meals were off the charts. And I'm so sorry i forget the waitress name but she was great as well! Overall can't wait to come back and visit Portland because we will certainly be back.“
“We stopped in on a whim and loved every second at the kitchen bar. A great vibe, exquisite service, and impressive, flavorful dishes made our night. We will be back on purpose and will be sure to go in very early or secure a reservation. Simply excellent!!“
“Outstanding experience at Leeward for my husband’s birthday. Burrata, focaccia, pasta dishes, and gelato were all superb. We sat at the chef’s counter which was fun. Service was also exceptional. Our new favorite restaurant in Portland!“
“We really love coming here for a date night, the vibe is great, well decorated and classy. Prices are a little expensive, but we haven’t tried anything we haven’t liked yet. The food here is really top notch, flavor and textures perfect, and steak is always cooked correctly. The servers we have had have been wonderful and attentive, and the front desk staff helped me out with a secret birthday request to surprise my fiancee. I’ll come back again and again.Parking: Parking is shared with other businesses, on a busy weekend night it’s full.“
“This was our favorite restaurant in Portland, and the first place we ate at on our visit as well. We started with the mussels, which were some of the best we've ever had. Delicious sauce and a generous portion. The scallop roll here is a must have. My wife had this and it was so amazing. Scallops are her favorite food and she said her favorite food was ruined now because nothing would ever be as good as this dish was. I have to agree with that sentiment. I had the lobster mac and cheese, and after having this it will be hard for me to order this elsewhere and not feel I've been shortchanged. Again, just delicious. The marscapone cheese with the lobster infusion is incredible.Great views and a fun experience too.Parking: Private lot, parking paid with voucher after dining at DiMillo's.“
“Met the owner and some of her staff while we were painting her storefront. Kitchen was immaculate. Very nice decor. Comfortable seating, casual atmosphere with a bar. We were a party of 6 on a Friday night. Reservations recommended. We had multiple apps. All were excellent. Try the Veal parm. Leave room for desert.“
“Excellent! We had the house salad … like no house salad I’ve ever had! Lots of goodies, super tasty and the large was plenty for two! My hubby had rigatoni carbonara. I had the crab raviolini. We also ordered bread service ($7 was a bit high).Rigatoni carbonara was very tasty but extremely rich. He wished it would have been cut with an acid for balance. My ravolini was perfect in flavor and size.We sat at the bar (not our fave but we didn’t have a reso). Stools were NOT comfortable. Bar/waitress (Lora/Lori I’m pretty sure that’s her name) was friendly and solicitous to us.It was great to be in a neighborhood (and not in the Old Port). We’ve driven by the restaurant and never been inside … glad we did this time. We’ll be back!“
“First time in beautiful Portland Maine, the five of us coming from Indiana were looking for some new local eats. Blocks away from where we’re staying was Anthony’s Italian Kitchen. Walked into a warming Italian atmosphere and greeted instantly by the owners smile and welcoming ambience. He handed us menus with content and grace. I proceeded to ask what he recommended. In short words he said Spaghetti & Meatballs, Eggplant Parmesan, or the Lasagna mentioning everything was made in house/homemade, I was thrilled for authentic cuisine! I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs per his recommendation, as he told me multiple times how much I will LOVE it. Waiting on my food I admired the radiance of the restaurant and getting joyous for a meal that I longed for all day. The moment came and I ate. He was absolutely right! One of the best Spaghetti & Meatballs dishes I’ve ever eaten/tasted. It was so amazing, two others in my party also got Spaghetti & Meatballs that they thoroughly expressed how delicious our first meal was in Maine. Thank you for making our first meal one to remember and being so kind and welcoming. A++++! I would come back for more deliciousness and chats.“
“My Partner &Mother In Law Stopped In For Some Lunch. Post Mention This Is My First Time Visiting Maine, And Portland ( Maine) In General. The Food Was Absolutely Astonishing. Would Love To Visit Every Time We Come Up This Way. Thank You ❤️? Adam~Kirsten- This was absolutely amazing good food and fast service, thank you“
“What can I say?....This place is awesome. The pizza is perfect. Soft, chewy crust with little charred bubbles. The toppings are not your run of the mill Pepperoni and sausage etc. They have some interesting combinations that are very interesting and delicious. I highly recommend quanto basta.“
“I love the India street Amatoes! The foods is as good as it’s always been. Anytime I’m Back in Portland, I always go and get a taste of history! Now my grandchildren also love Amatoes ❤️ there’s nothing like the original! The cheese stuffers were a perfect snack to eat before heading home :)Thanks for making our delicious sandwiches ands pizza Zack!“
“The wonderful people working to create the Superette experience truly care about offering an interesting variety of quality goods to serve the Munjoy Hill community. I love that they have both tasty staples and exciting new tries! Annd, they have hot food ready to go?! An amazing place to shop and live local.“
“Small restaurant but really good food. Wait staff were excellent. Reservations needed most nights, I suspect. Some reviews suggested some dishes weren't good, but we enjoyed everything. Food was hot, flavorful, cooked properly, and a good value.“
“My girlfriend and I made a trip to Portland this weekend for my 35th birthday. This was our first time here. Our server Shawn hopefully I spelt his name right, was amazing. He was Very attentive as well as knowledgeable on the drink and dinner menu. The focaccia bread was a great starter as I had saw other reviews said to try it out.My girlfriend got the swordfish with risotto which was cooked perfectly which is hard to do. I got the hanger steak medium rare and that was cooked perfectly as well.I don’t drink so I got an athletic brew and my girlfriend got a cosmo and she said it was delicious. We got the cannoli at the end for dessert and it was so yummy! With an added birthday candle! We would definitely come back if we come back to Portland. Thank you for a great birthday dinner!“
“First time back to roma in about 15 years. Is it possible that this place got better. Food was fantastic. We had halibut, duck, chicken parm and rigatoni. Top notch. Dessert is a must have with the cannolis. Service was fantastic and did not let us down. Can't beat the atmosphere.“
“Whenever I am in the area I try to stop in a grab a slice of pizza. The slices are a decent size, great price, and are very tasty as well. I’d recommend this location to everyone driving through this area who likes a easy and quick slice of pizza.“
“Never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday and the vibe was positive. The service was fast, the food was decent and when there was problem with one of the meals, the meal was refund upon checkout. I will return again for another meal, drink, whatever. Another review will also be on the Menu. I liked Bruno's.“
“I'm updating this as I've been to Amatos manyl times since I posted the first review. I've upped the stars to 3 from 4 because I've had several things that I hadn't had there before and they were all very enjoyable. One thing I definitely appreciate is that with very little exception, the food is consistant from one Amatos to the next. It's nice to know that when I'm on the road and it's too late to make something for supper, I can find an Amatos and get something and know that, if it's not where I usually get it, it will be just as good as where I bought it the first time. Thank you, Amatos. It's fast Italian food on the fly. It's definitely a step (or even two) over McD's, BK's, Wendys, etc. Italians plus other hot & cold sandwhiches, salads plus a nice selection of Italian dinners makes it a good choice for singles or familes or any group in-between.“
“Oh my God is this place delicious. Best Sicilian slice I ever had. The dough is totally unique and amazing. And the sauce on the cheese and pepperoni is sweet and tangy. Portland is lucky to have this place. Heard it was great but really surpassed my expectations. And I'll always remember going because it was my son's 1st birthday that day and this was a late lunch after celebrating for a day already.Parking: Look it's downtown Portland. The more familiar you are with it the easier. You can park in a lot a few blocks away or if you get lucky you can grab a spot on paid parking in front. Be careful though they ticket often, so pay.Kid-friendliness: We had our one-year old who was getting a little tired and we didn't get any dirty looks and they provided a high-chair. We went early with only two other couples there.“
“Called to pick up some Italians to bring over to my folks. Guy who picked up the phone said it would be 25 minutes but it really was only 10 for the food to be ready. Subs are big and not overly bready. Prices are fair and parking is easy.“
“Eight of us had dinner at Maria’s recently to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. We have eaten here numerous times starting when they were located in Portland. The food has always been delicious (no matter what we have ordered) and the portions are extremely generous. We love the atmosphere which is relaxing, warm and so inviting. We have never felt rushed. The young girl who waited on us the evening of my husband’s birthday celebration was absolutely the best. I wish I remembered her name. I am sure if she reads this post she will know who we are talking about. She never missed a beat even with the craziness of our group. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Portland and we are so grateful that even with the move to a new location after so many years on Cumberland Avenue they continue to be wonderful hosts and still serve the best Italian food. A great big warm thank you to the owner and all employees. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to making sure everyone has a positive dining experience. I would love to post a picture of all of us enjoying a wonderful evening at Maria’s but don’t see where I can do that here. If you have not eaten here before, do yourself a favor and go have a great evening and enjoy delicious Italian food. Try the six course meal!“
“First time in since the ownership changed and they still have great pizza and service. We had a veggie pizza with a white garlic spread. It was loaded with veggies with great flavor. Also had a sausage and onion pizza that was delish. Our server, Steve was personable and great. Love the atmosphere with the pictures of the staff/patrons in the bar area. Its nice to see owners appreciate their staff and patrons. Value: very fair as food is so expensive now a days.“
“Hands down best wings ever. Order the hot honey wings and you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you order a sauce with your pizza. Great chill vibe. Lavender Randy is a delicious mocktail with a speakeasy feel. Cannolis are amazing. Definitely recommend Lazzari if your passing thru or staying in “
“Olive Garden is a wonderful place to be with family. My sons are very excited and happy to be in such as place.Olive Garden makes feel you are important to them.Parking: You will always find a parkingKid-friendliness: My kids were very excited and happy.“
“Returning to Maine after many years away and wanted to go back to Willows since we always enjoyed their pizza. Pizza still very good. Not the cozy atmosphere we remember cause theyve expanded! But still a great local pizza place with crispy, flavorful crust and good selection of toppings. Good local beer selection as well. Service was a bit slow, but they were quite busy just before Christmas.“
“My dad and I stopped in for some food and we both got steak bombs, which were great! The meat was actually cooked right, and tender and chewy. The bread smells fresh like they just baked it! It was quiet and they even cleaned up around us and left us to chit chat well beyond closing and even then they were super nice about prompting us to leave!I will say though that I am extremely unsatisfied with the "Cookie-Whoopies" as the filling is more of a gritty sugar frosting as opposed to a soft & smooth cream filling. But, I think that really comes down to preference.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: First floor & ♿️ accessible.“
“Fantastic food, great service, good value. Why go elsewhere when Amato's offers pizza, pasta dishes, and hot or cold subs.Parking: 5; total of 8 slots shared with another business at this location.Wheelchair accessibility: Two handicap parking spaces on opposite ends of the entrance and located beside ramps.“
“We recently stayed at a So. Burlington hotel and ordered a Za from Leonardo's and had it delivered. The folks on the telephone were accommodating; the delivery driver was friendly and poilite; and all 4 of us were impressed with the pizza.“
“Beautiful dining experience with great service. Unfortunately, they ran out of the plate I had chosen to order. However, my second choice was very good. With all that said, it was a little pricey. At the price point, there are some better options, including their other restaurants.“
