“A true outside experience amongst the trees and pavillion. Large outside bar area under a pavillion , usually a band, plenty of space for kids to play, many corn hole game set up through out the venue and corn hole and bocci ball tournaments for entertainment. Lobster dinners on sturdy paper plates and various other fried seafood dinners are available. No bugs just lots of outdoor fun !! Try it you will enjoy with kids or not with kids, plenty of space to enjoy.Kid-friendliness: Play area for kids, many corn hole games set up through out venue, supervised fire pit, swings , picnic tables.“
“What a gem! Although we are "regulars" of the Kittery food and drink scene we hadn't made it here until a wintery Friday night. Cozy vibe, extremely friendly, attentive, creative staff. The Bourbon lovers in our crowd praised "A fist in the mouth of time" and "Something for Timmy". The gin drinkers loved "Text me Ishmael" and the tequila lovers loved "Jupiter Jazz". We managed to sample a cocktail created by each of the mixologists working... we coverd a lot of the menu territory but there is still much more to explore. We're definitely coming back. Thanks to the team of talented folks behind the bar.“
“I have been here several times. And the ambiance is always great. The staff is great. I have had the duck, land, and steak, they were all delicious. The French onion soup is really good. Everything I have ordered here has not disappointed in taste. You can spend $100 on one person with food and drinks. But you should come here for the food and experience not the price if that matters to you.“
“This was our first time at Green Elephant and we can't wait to go back! Finding a restaurant with lots of vegan options is difficult, so when we discover one and it's great, we get excited! We went for lunch, getting there right when they opened and by the time we left an hour and change later, they were completely full. We had an app, the king oyster mushroom tempura, a noodle curry, and a stir fry. All were amazing. The atmosphere was very nice as well. We didn't get any drinks, but they had a really creative cocktail menu - we'll be back for dinner and drinks next time!“
“There are quite a few " smart casual" dining options in Ogunquit and I cannot claim to have tried them all, but , of those I have sampled That Place stands out. It is a small town average floor plan that lends an air of intimacy to a roomy vibe. The service is highly trained and knowledgeable but without being pretentious. As for the menu, it is large enough for choice but simple enough to suggest specificity and care for each dish. Escargots seem to be out of favor these days but here they immediately caught my attention and did not disappoint! Neither did the generous and perfectly cooked pork chop. Utterly delicious! My Hendricks martini arrived with a slice of cucumber as garnish- a stroke of genius- and has since become my sine qua non ( if you can persuade the bar tender to supply the cucumber!) Go on spoil yourself!! You'll thank me afterwards.“
“Delightful restaurant in the historic district in Portsmouth! Very friendly, super attentive service! Zoe excellent wait person! American tapas; small bites meant to share. Fab beef sliders ? and super good and authentic Italian sausage mini sandwiches. Loved the crispy Brussel sprouts cooked in the style of Carciofi alla Roma! Both the mini Whoopie pies and cinnamon beignets were fab!! Great place with super convenient location. Parking is expensive in the whole area but plentiful. Great and super fun dinner!!!“
“Food was absolutely excellent, people behind the counter and serving were polite, helpful, and fast, the place itself was nice. Chill music, surprising amount of plants around the area, comfortable furniture, and specifically nice bathrooms both in decor and cleanliness. 100% would recommend this place.“
“Fantastic noodles, the scallion pancakes were some of the best I have ever had. Dumplings were amazing, better than any I’ve had from DC to Florida to Maine. We had two different types of ramen, one with tender pieces of pork and one with ground beef in a spicy peanut sauce. Will definitely be back, with a small but refined menu, my family and I are going to try the whole menu at some point. Also to add to the commenter complaining about vegan options, pretty sure a tomato broth with vegetables is vegan, just ask for it without the egg? Seems pretty simple to me.Dietary restrictions: Accommodated my shellfish allergyParking: Plenty of parking out back“
“Wonderful service, people, and atmosphere at Legends in Portsmouth, NH! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re ever in need of great food, amazing company, and a relaxing time out. Say hi to Kalie, Jasmine, Kyrstin, and the rest of the crew - they are the best. 5-star experience for sure!“
“Went to Portsmouth for a Birthday weekend. When we go away I loke to see what places we would like to eat and the BRGR Bar did not disappoint. The burgers were great definitely needed to cut it in half. One of the best burgers I have ever had. When in the area one of the places I will go to. Our server Mike was great.“
“My first encounter at Earth Eagle Brewing.Very comfortable seating with a pleasant atmosphere and exclectic decorations.Hot Dog and Hamburger fare is perfect for delicious lunches. They have very creative topping ideas and a plain one for less adventurous patrons. I will also like to add that the Shields brand is already my favorite frank and I was glad they have them. The only one in the group that had a burger liked it also.Great selection of quality brews! We each had a flight which was clearly labeled when they arrived so we knew which ones were chosen. Our service was great and knowledgeable of the products.A couple in our party also enjoyed cocktails. We had a teen with us so I want to add how friendly a place is was for him.A good time was felt by all!I'm excited to try out the Somersworth location now.I will recommend Earth Eagle Brewing for others to experience.Vegetarian options: The Cole Slaw was creamy and savory.Parking: The Free Parking in front was limited and filled.“
“Checked out Dwyer’s Pub on a whim and it quickly became a favorite. The vibe is cozy and the staff make you feel like a local the second you step in. Loved the draft list - diverse and full of quality picks. The fish and chips? Spot-on crispy and flavorful. Dwyer’s is the kind of place that turns a quick drink into an evening out. Can’t wait to return!“
“Love this place! Patty melt and fried Chicken sandwich are favs! Service always a pleasure. Staff is amazballs.Surprised by previous review from Chris. Did he ask beforehand if they could accommodate his dietary restrictions? Also, it’s illegal for many restaurants to allow outside food into their establishment. I’m sure if he had asked before miscommunication could’ve been avoided.“
“Our second dinner proved as lovely as our first. We shared a cheese board equal to the price, loaded with various cheeses (one hard, one very soft and a bleu), pickled veggies, sweet, cruncy nuts and plenty of crostini. I enjoyed a stuffed (spinach), baked haddock, perfectly done while my husband relished his seared scallops, rice and bok choi. Given it was Valentine's Day, we shared the special flourless choclate cake--a bit overpriced, but good. I loved that I was able to try the two wines I was debating between (a Pino Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc) which allowed me, surprisingly, to chose the latter. The bar tender even made a perfect keoke coffee-- a recipe that seems to stump many! Bistro 1828 remains our 'go-to' for a special occasion--one of the few local seacoast restaurants whose food, service, atmosphere lives up to the its prices! (Our table was in front of a drafty door--the only reason for the 4 star--get a back or side table!)Parking: We lucked out on a cold night to sang a spot right next to the resturant, but there is also a bog lot across the street.“
“What you see is what you get at the Navy Yard. To me, that's a plus. You know from the jump, you're looking at a judgement-free atmosphere, where you'll be more than equipped to play a game of pool or throw some darts. The drinks are on point as well. Now, if you're feeling really wild & crazy, upon your visit, there is always an ample selection of tunes for you to Karaoke-on-Along with.“
“My husband and I sat at the bar- enjoyed impeccable service as we watched oysters being shucked in front of us. I had Welfleet oysters fresh and delish, and we both enjoyed bowls of perfect NE clam chowder! All of this paired with a Maine Lunch it was the perfect supper in a fun and chic atmosphere!“
“We showed up they said we probably wouldn't be seated for an hour. They seated us right away. It was our third time having Hot Pot at the Pink Bamboo. But our daughters' friends first time ever. The service is always really good and the food is so delicious.“
“State Street Saloon is one of those places that make you feel welcomed. Good food at reasonable prices. Going strong forever in good times and hard times . It defines the true Portsmouth, old school, hard working town that has seen a lot of changes since my parents moved here in 1979.“
“My husband and I stopped into When Pigs Fly for a quick bite the other day. We saw fried mozzarella wedges on the specials and started with those. We both agreed these are the best fried mozzarella we have EVER had. To be honest they should be on the permanent menu they were that amazing. We also ordered a margarita pizza as well. The pizza was really good too but it didn't compare to the mozzarella! Our waitress was very welcoming and a great server as well. The only con we had was the chairs are not very comfortable. Chances are we will be back soon!“
“Food, drinks, & service so consistently amazing, that I'd consider moving out this way just to have this be our "usual" Mexican restaurant, could we afford the move. It's. That. Good. !!!We've been here maybe half a dozen times in as many years. Every time we're just blown away. The margaritas are refreshing & so flavorful (try the habanero margarita with cilantro - you're welcome ?). We tried the salsa flight this last time, no idea why we've never done that before but they were all SO FLAVORFUL, & we love their thick, salty chips. ?This last time I got a tofu taco, a masa fried shrimp taco, & a pescado taco (fried). The flavor combinations were incredible...!!! So unique, perfectly balanced, unlike anything I've ever had before, in the best possible way. [$6 each for such incredible tacos is ? worth it, IMHO. Totally competitive pricing. Regularly pay $5 per taco elsewhere & they're nowhere near as good, so $6 per taco here is perfectly reasonable.]Service has always been super friendly & fast. They're always up to giving recommendations & we're never disappointed!Really my only complaint is how tight the tables are. I know it's an old Friendly's but we really feel quite squished in the booths, even with our small children with us. Would be quite uncomfortable with two adult couples in one booth. This is nit-picky though, obviously it would be a huge undertaking & a massive expense to shut down & renovate, & really, the food is so gosh-darn good that I really don't care, it's not like it's gonna keep us from going back.Their chef was nominated for a James Beard award - I believe it! ?Cannot recommend highly enough! ?“
“The food was solidly good, however nothing compelling enough to crave. The staff was very attentive and nice. Unfortunately, it was really loud. I would not go if you want a romantic or high-end feel. There are many better restaurants around the seacoast, but it wasn't bad by any stretch.“
“I go here about once a week and enjoy the opportunity to smoke in a well-ventilated environment. The service is good and bartenders skilled. The liquor selection is limited, but that is because the space itself is relatively small. They do a good job of keeping the more popular, high-end alcohols. The cigar selection is excellent; there is a $20 cutting fee if you bring your own, although that is sometimes waived if you spend a lot on drinks as I do.There is a special members lounge with a large screen TV and personal cigar lockers. It costs around $1,000 a year to be a member. The bathroom is very nice and other aspects of the ambiance are generally good although the space itself is a little cramped.I docked a star and almost two because they often play loud rap music which is completely obnoxious and out of character with the otherwise laid back atmosphere.“
“Great place tucked away in town. Has an upstairs patio outside and indoor seating. Food is great and reasonably priced. Also, friendly service. Definitely recommend anything to eat here.Parking: Parking is a little small and off the main road behind the main buildings in town. Not too many spaces, but there is paid street parking as well. Great restaurant overall.“
“I enjoy the ambiance and aesthetic and the waitstaff are always friendly and check in frequently enough that you always have what you need without overly stopping by.The food is good and prices are very reasonable!!There's always parking and we rarely have to wait to be seated!Parking: There's plenty of free, off street parkingKid-friendliness: It's very kid friendly with a kids menu that has a decent selection of choices for kiddos!“
“One of the most welcoming, friendliest taverns in Portsmouth! Greta food, great atmosphere, great service and affordable prices. Add to this they are "kid friendly" it's a real nice place to go for a couple of drinks in the afternoon.“
“My gf and I came for lunch around 230, no problems with a bouncer and staff were all nice, professional, and courteous. Now, the real star of the show was the food. We ordered the hummus board and the fish and chips. The hummus is made in house and served with a veggie mix and house made pitas. We both loved the hummus and pitas, both were very delicious. The fish was also very well done, nice and flaky. Only issue, very small, was the breading on the fish was, in places, a little oily.F- the pain away, the mix drink I had, was very good.“
“We had a nice relaxed Breakfast here while staying at the hotel off-season. Jazz music in the background, nice waiter, good food. The view in the background makes it extra special. Would eat here again. (The entrance door open was on the south side, the other doors were locked.)“
“Had lunch overlooking the ocean. Beautiful scenery and delicious lunch. Had the lobster roll with a side salad. The lobster roll was overflowing with lobster meat and very little mayo. Our server was friendly and polite. Must place to eat when in the area.“
“This was a fantastic surprise. I happened to be in the area, and found this restaurant on Yelp. Glad I did!My dinner guest and I loved the place before we were seated. Great decor, terrific lighting, and the kind of casual and relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. Our server, Niki, was super-friendly and helpful throughout our meal.We ordered several sides and split a burger. First out were the meatballs. Three giant meatballs covered in delicious sauce, cheese, and pesto. Tender, savory, perfect. Next up was whipped feta with honey and dates. Pita triangles were used to scoop up the feta, and the combination was amazing. Like savory Greek yogurt, but better! The fried Louisiana fried shrimp were fantastic, served with a mango chili dip. The truffle fries were hot and crispy, perfectly seasoned (generously) with intense truffle flavor, and served with a fabulous garlic aioli. We chose to split the pastrami burger, which was incredible - familiar flavors all pulled together into one delicious burger.I have a feeling this is a gem for locals around York. If I lived here, this would be a regular go-to place for me. When the check came, I thought they made a mistake; for the quantity and quality of the food, this was an absolute bargain.Truly one of the best meals I've had in a long time, and you can't beat the ambiance and service! If you're near York, Maine, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't be disappointed!“
