“My husband I stopped in for an early dinner today before the Michigan game. We had the seaweed salad (delish!) and four rolls. The flavor was great, the rolls were lovely to look at and the portions perfect. Highly recommend this gem in Dexter.“

“We went as a group of 10, inclusive of two children. Received, welcomed and seated quickly. We did make reservations. The ambiance was great. We could hear each other talk which is a great plus when socializing. Service was prompt and friendly. The Manager came over and asked how all was going. Great food, interesting choices of great hamburgers and sushi. I love their moto, "Be Grateful". We had an excellent experience; the food was great!“

“One of the best sushi places in Ann Arbor. Prices are reasonable, the servers are so nice and the quality of the sashimi is good. I order takeout from them often and have never been disappointed. The uni and hamachi in particular are always great. The only thing I wish they’d pay attention to more is their sushi rice. It’s overcooked and can feel dense and gelatinous as a result. It also doesn’t have a good balance between rice vinegar, salt and sugar. I’ll still order often, but if they can nail this very important detail, it would push them to the top of my list for sushi in Ann Arbor“

“Good sushi, good value! Stopped in for a quick lunch and opted for a dine-in special. Got a combination of two sushi rolls ($11 pre-tax and tip) - Spicy Tuna and Salmon, Avocado, Cucumber. Pretty classic rolls. Came out quickly and was tasty. Quality and freshness of fish was good. Amount of fish and ratio with rice was good too. Nicely executed simple rolls! And this was plenty filling for lunch. Will say that the Spicy Tuna is actually a little spicy! I liked it, but if you can't handle spice at all, just know it's a little spicier (think it's a sriracha based spicy mayo) than other places. No frills but clean ambiance with a good amount of seating for dine in. Friendly service and easy parking!“

“Great mainland plate lunch. You really get along for your money. I had Udon Soup tempura and my husband had The Aloha BBQ mix which had 3 types of meat. They also have vegetarian sushi items and spam musubi ! Really a comprehensive Aloha experience on the mainland with alot of food for a fairly low price.“

“After rebranding and management change I am giving a five star to Azalea. Service was excellent and food was much better than oram.My recent visit was very disappointing. When we were seated, we noticed table was sticky. The food was not good at all it felt like it was heated in microwave rather than cooked after order was taken.“

“I love this place so much. The food is excellent and there's a good variety of different dishes. I adore their sushi (all of their rolls have been amazing) and their Udon Soup is fantastic. It's nothing fancy on the inside but it seems to be family owned and you can see them cooking and making the sushi, which just gives it a lovely homey-relaxed vibe. I was hesitant to write this review because I think they are a hidden gem. Also the waitress is really kind and helpful.“

“Pan-Asian spot tucked away on the SW end of Ann Arbor, right off 94. My husband and I go here occasionally largely out of convenience because it's really close to us! Never have a problem getting a table - it's usually just the right amount of busy. Plenty of parking on site. I think they might share ownership or have an arrangement for ingredients with next door Asian market Tsai Grocery. Now I'm not usually a huge fan of Pan-Asian restaurants (as I generally think if you're doing it all, you're not necessarily doing it well), but Godaiko has some interesting/creative fusion-y twists on their menu. It really is a choose your own adventure type of place. You could visit multiple times and have a completely different type of meal and experience each time. Last night we were feeling like sushi, and throw in some crispy chicken sliders, why not. (The sushi isn't the best around, but it's good.) Some of my favorite menu items I've tried: - Lettuce Wraps! Generous amount and not too salty (which I find with other places' lettuce wraps); pineapple is a nice addition - Beef Maki; very flavorful - Sushi Tuna Nachos; unique and I like the thin taro chips - Kobe Cheese Burger; the Asian part of this is in the dressing/sauce, a pretty decent burger if that's what you're feeling like - Shrimp Tempura Udon; crispy tempura (served on the side) and a clean tasting broth - Bento Box; one of these can feed 2, it's a lot of food! Decor and ambiance is nice, and kind of fun with Asian art pieces on the walls and ceiling (look up!). Service is good. Full bar (beer, wine, liquor, sake, cocktails) with a daily all-day drink special. Some of their cocktails are interesting as well - one time tried a lychee saketini and enjoyed. Usually I stick with beer, wine, or sake though. Food portions and drink pours are generous!“
