“Urbanrest is the type of brewery/bar that makes you look around and think, "It might be the pint talking, but suddenly the idea of getting old one day might not be so scary as long as there are community spaces like this within walking distance."A cool atmosphere, good beer, people of all ages and backgrounds, families, dogs at the tables outside when it's nice out, all enjoying themselves and taking a load off in a casual, familiar feel.Bonus points for the pride flags, and extra mega super bonus points for when they host the Belly It! food truck. An awesome event setting for renting out the back room, too!“

“Shut up and take my money! Cleanest, crispest, freshest oyster selection that I have ever had the pleasure to lay my eyes on. A wonderfully knowledgeable bar staff, a kitchen that takes pride in their product, I really couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience. They're happy hour offers a selection of oysters professionally shocked by someone who cares about what you're eating. And at a price point that is extremely competitive to other oyest bat happy hour restaurants in the area you can't find a better quality morsel of sweet sweet goodness. I won't name names, but there are a few bars that have lost a loyal HH customer today. and that's really all I have to say about that.“

“April 2024 - came here with 3 adults and 3 children from 6-11. The food was very good. Probably the best pickle pizza we have had. The cheese bread was good. Daughter said the spaghetti with a ln added meatball was good (7 out of 10 rating). I ordered the burger and it was good. I will try something else next time. We had Meryll as our server and she was wonderful. The patio is big and it's very nice. If you want to eat outside, I would recommend this place. Overall a very good place with very good pizza. Good place to come with friends, date or family.“

“Easy parking, no wait, music at a volume that actually still allows you to talk (unlike most places these days), friendly waitresses, expansive menu, tasty food, and a positive feeling among diners that has had me going back every Saturday for a month since my first visit. My only fear in posting these praises is that people will catch on to how special this place is and change all of the above. It is spots like this that make a town a community.“

“First time visit to Pop's and it was a very casual, open space. There were several large parties so it would be a great spot for a family/friends celebration. I ordered the breakfast flatbread and it was good; the flavors were a nice balance between being too bland or over seasoned. Our server was also pleasant and she provided good service. Would recommend!“

“The next time you're in Detroit, try Bobcat Bonnie's. This restaurant is family owned. They have about 6 locations. The food was delish! They are always adding new creative items to the menu. The 24ct gold wings had an unusual delish taste, and they sprinkled tiny gold glitter flakes on them. I just loved that! The fried cauliflower was yummy, and the chicken strips are not your average chicken fingers. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The vibe is coo and laid back. It's a come as you are place to visit. Everyone will feel comfortable here. The employees are very attentive, and the location is surrounded by other small businesses, so you can take a stoll and check out the other shops before or after you eat. Things to know are that there is a 20% gratuity added to a party of 6 or more. They sell the art you see on the walls. You can follow them on Instagram to see more art. You can go online and book a reservation. They have weekly specials, so you won't break the bank, and they have happy hour where the appetizers are on special and some of the drinks are $4 off. Try the strawberry mule. You will definitely have a memorial meal here.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly. There isn't a play area in the restaurant but it's kid friendly.“

“Another great meal from Spacecat V-stro, so much appreciate all the effort they put into their daily specials and wonderful desserts. This is my new favorite place to order food. People who live in Ferndale are so very lucky to have this fabulous restaurant so close by. I agree with all the reviews that give them 5 stars.“

“I love this place so much. Everything on their menu rocks. Service is excellent, even with them being constantly busy. Can’t beat this spot for amazing pho. My photos are from a day we specifically set out to try non pho items, which also slapped. Highlyyyyyy recommend. Highly. (Enthusiastic Emphasis added!)“

“The Fly Trap is an underrated brunch spot. They have a full bar and awesome tasting food. They have jam flavors on rotate each month made from scratch. The servers are chill, and the building is comfortable like a coffee shop cafe restaurant. Large portions of food and good quality.“

“Love the food here! I don't love that there's always a wait for a table and the communal style seating but otherwise a great dining experience. We started with chips and guac and chorizo queso. The chips were fresh and warm. The Bakersfield hot dog is always my favorite. The potato and chorizo taco was just ok.“

“If you haven't tried Ethiopian food yet, now is your chance to try it! This place offers all you can eat vegetarian for one simple price, you can also add meat dishes a la carte.Start your meal off with a hot Ethiopian tea, you won't regret it. It tastes sweetened, but it is all natural. Before you start your meal, you get a hot towel to cleanse your hands. Everything is eaten with your hands, no utensils. Tear off a piece of bread (injera), scoop up a portion of lentils, ground peas, or cabbage and indulge in a taste of Ethiopia. We also like the salad (Timatim), this is also extra but nice to try it once if you haven't, it has a sour dressing type of taste that I like to cleanse my palate with between bites. I would compare it to having a slice of ginger between different pieces of sushi. Our favorite meats are either the beef or lamb, both of which are very tender and flavorful.End your meal by cleansing your hands with another nice hot towel and go home with your tummy full and happy! Don't be scared to eat with your hands, you won't be embarrassed, everyone else will be eating it too and will be having just as much fun as you are haha.“

“Im not from this area, was here for work and a work friend suggested it. It's a really small place. Very nice people. The pierogi were good. I felt the potato pancakes were not really for me, but they were ok. That's all I tried. My friend likes the burrito. It was pretty big.“

“Menu has some interesting choices. Food is good. This place serves food until midnight which is a real bonus as most restaurants stop serving at 8pm. This is a good place for large parties. I like the interior but I gave it a lower rating because it's do noisy it's hard to have a conversation but don't let that stop you. It's a great place and you should check it out.Parking: It's somewhat of a challenge to find parking in their lot but there is additional parking on the street (Woodward) and there is a nearby structure.“

“I have gotten this twice this week and was very happy. First time I got the empanadas, which were so sweet and savory. Arroz Chaufa.. so good. Everything tasted fresh like it's made with healthy ingredients. Which is so refreshing. This second time I got the arroz again with steak.. think pot roast steak but in fried rice. So good in my opinion. Lastly my friend got the Pan Con Pollo. I took 3 bites and my taste buds were happy. Not something I could get every time since I'm dairy free and gluten free. Worth it to try it though! We will be trying more soon“

“I've been coming to Anita's for a few years, and I've noticed that I come here most often to get takeout after a vacation when I want something quick and a little healthier. I've also dined in quite a few times! Their atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is always quick. My usual go-to is the falafel sandwich with a side of pickled veggies for a filling and flavorful meal. I've also recently had the mixed mezza for two, which was great! It had so many different items in it, and was only $40 for two people, which I thought was a great deal. The hummus and garlic dip are also amazing. Regardless of what I get or when I visit, I've never had a bad meal here. My only complaint is that they're not open on Sundays, which is a little inconvenient, but I totally understand that family time is important as well. I'll for sure keep coming back!“

“Skylar the manager was so amazing he made sure he accommodated us with our seating arrangements which truly appreciated! And was so positive! Desiree our waitress literally providing the best customer service I think I’ve ever received at any establishment! She was energetic, bubbly, over all just a good spirit for sure! Definitely will be back! We drove an hour to eat here and those two made it worth the drive! Not to mention the delicious food ?“
