Ordered through Door Dash. Arrived warm. The ribs and brisket are both very tender, but both are very bland. Minimal smoke, and no seasoning at all. The cornbread is straight from the bakery at a supermarket, as you can see in the photo. Tastes more like a white bread pastry than cornbread.
The meat from Betty Kaye's is as good if not better than any que joint in the area. My only complaint is that although the Pit Masters are awesome, the front register folks leave a lot to be desired. When I talk to Zach about his food, he's passionate about his work and making sure we as customers have exactly what we need when we need it. My order was not ready when I arrived. It's my understanding that Betty Kaye's is in the Forest Hills Grocery store, but it doesn't appear to be there any longer, or has changed. They have a hot food bar and a place to make panini's and other sandwiches. Maybe the "Betty Kaye's" sign is in the shop. At any rate, you can get a pretty large panini at a decent cost, and it was delicious. Whatever it is now it's a good place for lunch.
