“Me and the family wanted to munch down on some deep dish pizza. So, I flipped out the old Google and typed in "Best Deep Dish Pizza near me" and let me tell you what, they sure knew what I wanted. Big Bob's is by far the best deep dish I have ever had and I went to Chicago once in 1981 to watch A Richard Pryor and Robin Williams lookalike ladies wrestling competition. So I definitely know a thing or two about good pizza, the deep dish variety. The cheese, the sauce, the amount of toppings, and did I mention the cheese? Good. Cause there's a buttload of cheese. Also, they aren't a big place, so you feel super comfy eating like a deranged, feral beast in the corner because you will not be able to help yourself from wolfing this food down quicker than a pack of dogs on a 3 legged cat. So, all in all, make sure you get your next 14 pizzas from Big Bob's, because they know pizza. I only have one negative to say, and that's that there was a very loud, and sliiiightly annoying toddler in the place while we were eating and I wish they could've done something about it. The fact that it was my toddler is completely irrelevant I feel.“

She noticed I tried to make my daughter's chops sticks easier to use and brought me a piece of plastic that made the chopsticks kid friendly.Kid-friendliness: My daughter is well behaved and did very well it is a small restaurant so best to be respectful of others. But the staff was very sweet to my daughter.“

“Rise Authentic did an amazing job on my sons birthday cake! He has a dairy, egg and peanut allergy and they made sure to take all that into consideration and were still able to make a perfect Baby Shark cake for him ☺️ The cake was very delicious. “Walking by and spontaneously decided to get a pizza to take back to the hotel (Tuesday evening 5:30) . The host kindly directly me to the takeout counter. The very friendly young man took my order, everything came out perfectly. I was glad he offered utensils because I forgot to ask. We got the thin crust pepperoni - it was fantastic! Crispy edges, nice cheesy pull, great taste. Very glad we stopped. Great service and food!“

“Stopped on my way through Grand Rapids. I own a coffee shop so I asked for something that I couldn't get anywhere else. Had the recommended French Vietnamese Au Lait and a cinnamon scone. The scone was a little crumbly, but buttery and dense. The Vietnamese Au Lait was not overly sweet, but rather had the right amount of bite. What a beautiful dessert case. Definitely.Will make this a stop on future trips north.“

“I tried this restaurant because of location and menu and they did not disappoint. It was a very quick walk from the JW and has great curb appeal and atmosphere. We had oyster shooters and truffle fries to start. Both were excellent and came out quick. For dinner we had the short rib and lamb shank. Both were exceptional in presentation and taste. The lamb and short rib were both extremely tender and delicious. My gf is gluten free so it was a pleasant surprise to see gluten free carrot cake available. She said it was very delicious and moist. I had the chocolate mousse, and it was also delicious. If you are in Grand Rapids, FortyPearl is a must for dinner.“

I can't vouch for authenticity but I can vouch for taste!However, the dining area and especially the bathrooms were quite dirty. The mens bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, which was unsettling. Maybe the womens bathroom was spotless!There are two TVs in the restaurant, which are playing sometimes risque music videos with music that was a little loud for my tastes.The front of house seemed very understaffed, the waitress doubling as hostess and tripling as doordash gopher.Overall i would go again and recommend, but wish they would address some of the issues that distract from the delicious experience.“

“They have really good decorations, so it would be nice for girls brunch day. We tried chicken and waffles, it tasted good but the sauce was a bit too heavy. The burger was really good :) we also tried fries and gumbo for sides, don’t recommend them, tasted like nothing and very overpriced. Service was fantastic!Btw don’t try their non-alcoholic beverages. We tried two different drinks, and they all tasted very bland and artificial.“
“We got the chicken chili mono, goat vinadaloo, garlic naan, and chicken tikka. All were good, but the momo was outstanding. The vindaloo was good, but had several pieces of bone in it, so just be aware of that. The chicken tikka had excellent flavor; you got a nice smoky flavor, but it was really quite dry which I didn't mind, but also be aware of that. The naan was very good but you didn't get much of it.“
“12/16/23 We decided to give Bold a try for my sons 21st birthday. We were greeted kindly, shown to our table where we started a tab for our group. Our waitress was the owners wife who was prompt, made fabulous drinks and was also very friendly. The place is very clean and classy. Good selection of cigars in the humidor. “I have been here a few times over the past year now. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. You are greeted immediately and seated. The servers are prompt and polite. You get to build your own tacos, making your order almost impossible to mess up. I have been here for both lunch and dinner. I will be recommending and returning in the future. Keep up the good work“

Some snacks available right now (kitchen reno in progress) but you can bring your own food in while the kitchen is still closed! Make sure to get a reservation and they book up fully and fast so don't expect to keep you table past your reservation end time!“
