Initial plan was to try The Cozy Egg in Mattawan but their waitress was not pleasant and after barking at us and the customer behind us for leaving the door open too long (being a gentlemen and opening the door for us) we left. Glad we gave Nanny’s our business & will be back!”

“Is the guy who started these restaurants still alive? Samuel Mancino's? I have been to a few of these places lately, and the food is different. It's not as good. I actually worked at this Mancino's in 1997 and transferred to the Evansville Indiana Mancino's to help open that restaurant. It was next to the funny bone comedy club, which the Evansville Mancino's owned. Both are now out of business. The food was just better back then. So that's why I asked if Samuel Mancino's was still alive. His standards were just different.”

“A sandwich artist in-training built my Outlaw and put the cheese under the meat (his mentor caught it and made him fix it), never asked if I wanted my onions and peppers applied before toasting, and used roast beef instead of the black forest ham on the other sandwich. They scrapped the RB sammy and built a new one using ham. Everything worked out fine.”

“Last night we tried Condado for the first time. We were instantly met with a smiling individual who sat us promptly. Breanna was our server and was an absolute delight. Breanna explained the menu and gave us fun info about the art work (which was one of my favorite parts!). All of the staff were cheery. The food was absolutely fantastic; the best carne asada I’ve ever had! Try the pineapple lemonade and smoked queso! We will absolutely be back and tell all of our friends! “I forgot to order a cake ahead of time and my son wanted an ice cream cake. I came into Menchie’s last minute, hoping and praying I could get a sonic cake made for him. I honestly didn’t think they would be able to do it but figured I’d try. I can’t remember who I talked to, but she was AMAZING! So helpful, super understanding, SO accommodating, she promised to have the cake made & ready in 24 hours. I picked it up this afternoon and it was the PERFECT sonic cake! My son said “my cake is the best cake ever” after his first bite! I’d say that’s a win! It’s absolutely delicious! I’ll be coming back for my daughters birthday(and a just because cake 🤷🏾‍♀️😂) Highly recommend!”

Jake, the owner, is there every hour, making sure things are running smoothly and checking in with customers. It’s rare to see an owner that hands-on, and it really shows in the quality of the food and service. Jake’s a great guy, and his passion for his restaurant comes through in every detail. If you’re looking for a great burger in Kalamazoo, Lake Burger is the spot. Highly recommend!”
