“Had been trying to go to Ernies for a while. Kept going and missing their hours. Finally, in the neighborhood right on time. We pull up, and you can tell it's a full house. My hubby isn't really patient, but he knows Ernies, and it'll be worth the wait. The line is wrapped around inside, 2 people creating sandwiches, everyone is chill, chatting....PATIENTLY. When you visit, don't be in a hurry. These sandwiches take time. “Never was a big fan of corn beef till I came here. I can honestly say I can eat one of their sandwiches ? twice a week and they are an hour away (I'm from Flint) best sandwich I have had in a long time!!! Most definitely recommend them! “Wow!!! I went once and then HAD to go back. Went during lunch at work it is very close to me. The staff was training some new hires for the holiday season coming up and everyone was just super nice and friendly. Took just a little bit longer to get rung up because of the new help but did not change my opinion. The lunch options are absolutely amazing and decently priced you could get just the sandwich or a side and a drink OR TWO SIDES which is what I got lol. I got the honey baked ham sandwich the first time with two sides in the photo they ran out of the bread so they put it on a Hawaiian bun which was fine but I can't wait to try it with the ciabatta bun. “I ordered a couple of the sliders 12 packs for my staff, and they absolutely loved them. The manager at the store was very accommodating. He made sure that we had everything ready to go. We didn’t have to wait really a popular place and the food is delicious. Now that I signed up for my loyalty card I’m getting coupons and I make sure to stop in there often.“

“So, thinking about all of the places I have yelped about, this one is likely the oldest established place. I have had these sandwiches all of my life. I stopped in last night for a "Slurp" (corned beef, Swiss, and Cole slaw on an onion roll with Russian dressing). I also ordered onion rings and Kool-Aid. All yummy. The battered onion rings were crisp. I envisioned the "Kool-Aid Man" as I sipped, just like I did as a child. The sandwiches are consistently good and are the same as I remember from childhood. I'm happy that the area has been refreshed. The deli has a new modern build out, so pay no mind to the "hole in the wall" reviews. It's certainly not that. Check out my pics. There are a variety of deli sandwiches, snacks, chips, desserts, and drinks available. Prices are far more reasonable than other nearby delis. The walk-in carry-out is on a corner. There is plenty of street parking. The cashier shared with me that the location has been deemed "historic." I love that for the deli's original owner and the community.“
