They explained they were understaffed, yet they were all still so kind running around to get everything done for customers. They gave me what they had, which I was so appreciative of! “Had been trying to go to Ernies for a while. Kept going and missing their hours. Finally, in the neighborhood right on time. We pull up, and you can tell it's a full house. My hubby isn't really patient, but he knows Ernies, and it'll be worth the wait. The line is wrapped around inside, 2 people creating sandwiches, everyone is chill, chatting....PATIENTLY. When you visit, don't be in a hurry. These sandwiches take time. They're definitely working as humanly possible for the time it takes to make this deliciousness.I had the No Pork Monster $14, which is turkey, turkey pastrami, chicken, and corned beef. “Never had a bad experience at old school deli. Very personal service. The food is great. The employees are great. It's always like sitting down with family. When you're there they come and sit with you and talk. They have time. If they don't, they just smile and say hello and serve other people. It's a great place to go. I highly recommend it“

“Uncle Harry’s is the best deli on the East Side of metro Detroit with amazing deli food. It alsoHas style: photos of Harry and his family and famous visitors are all over. My favorite is the Donna (corned beef, pastrami, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing). Also love the pickles and the soup.“

“My fiance and I were visiting from NE Ohio for the day and stopped by!I called prior about their vegan options and how they prepare vegan sandwiches. I also asked about allergens such as peanuts, legumes, pea protein, etc. My fiance and I were impressed how careful they are with vegan sandwich preparation and cross-contamination. They handle everything separately and are very careful. My fiance has many food allergies, so we have to be careful! We also can’t eat out a lot because of this as well, so this was a treat for us. I was told on the phone since they serve vegan food “they have to do it right.”It was a first for both of us to eat vegan deli meat, and as a meat eater myself, I was impressed!If anyone is looking for vegan, allergen-conscious, and delicious sandwiches, this is the place to go. “Lots of choices on the menu for soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts. The beef barley soup was delicious! My companions had the Tomato-basil soup and they liked it very much. I had the roast beef french dip sandwich and it was good. It could gave used more beef on it, but the cheese and au jus were wonderful. My one friend had a grilled cheese sandwich and the other had a club style sandwich she was very happy with. Our sandwiches came with a pickle spear and a bag of chips. Lots of table to eat at, self serve drinks. I would recommend and will return.“
“Wow! With Easter coming up, thus is DEFINITELY the BEST pkace to get your Holiday Ham & Holiday Sausages! I'm not big on ham, but the Dearborn ham is the ONLY HAM I will ever eat! Very lean and can definitely taste the high quality product! The sausages are another grest option here! We love the special Holiday Kielbasa! Definitely the best sausages around. For summer we stop here to get the large packs of hot dogs for camping! Nothing that is even close! They also have the large diameter Dinner Frank's! “Absolutely one of the true Gems of Rochester MI. Love the owners. They are so friendly and a perfect memory. Food is perfect. Never anything negative to say about that any day. When they are not out of it the german potato salad is the best ever. A must go to for a great lunch or light dinner. But they are only open late 1 day a week. But they are worth the wait. My wife loves their chicken salad sandwich. I always order the Pastrami Reubens. 100 thumbs up.“
