“I 1st thought the food was horrible. However, I ordered it from door dash and took roughly 1.5 hrs. So the food was cold and saturated in too much garlic butter. I give everything 2 tries. I ordered take out, I live less than a mile away, the food was nice and hot! Wasn't drowned in butter. The shrimp are deep fried enough to eat the tail. Prices are great for shell fish. “Such a gem! This little spot in downtown Mount Clemens is such a great restaurant. The atmosphere is top notch, while it may seem small, it has two nice wings that bring you between bright and cozy to lowly lit and romantic. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Best cornbread I've ever had and their hush puppies are what hush puppies should be, at least this far north! Highly recommend you go and go again. The service was friendly and responsive too. We've had a lot of M&C and this, by far was the best!! They use heavy cream plus different cheeses and the result is *Heaven in a Crock." I'm not kidding. We made a reservation for Saturday evening, place was not packed we were seated in the downstairs area by the bar clean neat decor with NOLA vibes. Our server was great she recommended the oysters based on your preference and suggested the beef tartar as an appetizer. For main dish we opted for shrimp risotto and chefs special that evening was sea-bass with crusted vegetables. Outstanding fish was buttery and flaky and risotto had ton of flavor. Dessert was an interesting combination of sponge cake soaked up with caramelized pears just wow!! They also have a live jazz music upstairs. Great experience absolutely worse a drive. “Nicks country oven is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. I stopped in for my lunch break and ordered the gyro omelette with freshly cut potatoes, white toast and coffee. It's a large portion that's cooked perfectly and tastes incredibly fresh (a rarity around here, but I won't name names). It's fried, but not greasy at all, and it's flaky because it's fresh (no squishy fish here, thank God) Every dinner is served with pickles, coleslaw, French fries and soup so the value is ridiculous. They also don't lack condiments (malt vinegar included) which I appreciate. The inside of the Yacht Club genuinely looks like the Cigar Lounge of a Country Club. I love it. Small, casual with old school elegance. And the service gives off that same vibe. It's like you're in a cigar lounge only with no smoking and excellent food.
