“month later and I'm just getting around to writing this review. That should tell you how memorable the experience was. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday. We picked from one of the choices of limited menus for our large group. We were seated in the most beautiful location. Service was perfection my family is still talking about how good the food was. I will definitely be revisiting.”

“Clean shop, prices are good, I was the only customer and employees seemed very hurried to get my order done. I was worried I walked in right before they closed so I checked online and saw they are open till 930 it’s 3pm so just felt strange. Me and my 3 year old so
I guess I was expecting a friendly hello to my kiddo.

“I feel incredibly spoiled to have this incredible business so close to home! From snacks to mains to desserts-all of it is out of this world! The owner and staff are incredibly kind, warm hearted, mission based folks! I have gotten back on track with my protein intake largely because of how delicious and incredibly fair priced this business is. I had a protein deficiency, but when I had blood done a week ago, I was back in normal ranges! 🎉🎉🎉 Not to mention, I always have a huge smile face when I leave because everyone I’ve interacted with here are so genuinely friendly and engaging!”

“First time here, no drive through but plenty of parking in the back of the building. They accepted cash or card. The Hot Dog combo for $3 is a steal. Overall a good experience with a friendly staff and the ice cream was delicious as well.”

“The best cookies and cinnamon roll in Metro Detroit. The cinnamon rolls are huge, made fresh and served warm on the weekends. They are always a big hit at my Open Houses! Highly recommend both, and I look forward to trying the ice cream cookie sandwich. it looks amazing, you can customize your sandwich by choosing your choice of cookies and ice cream flavors.”

“I moved to SCS 5 months ago and have never been here before. My family and I have tried carryout from several restaurants and we always end up with Gilbert’s. Great food, service & prices. I had my daughters 1st birthday in their banquet room yesterday and I’m over the moon happy with how it turned out! The staff was super helpful and always around when I needed anything. The food was great, my guests raved about the pizza and spinach dip. I would book events here in the future without a doubt. Look no further for a great American cuisine menu and staff that makes you feel like family!”

“We were supposed to be trying a different restaurant that was recommended by a friend. On the way, we passed Palmers Inn but kept going to our other restaurant. When we pulled into the tiny, full parking lot my husband pulled right out. We decided to try Palmers Inn and we are SO happy we did!!! Vicki was our server and she was like a long lost friend from the moment we sat down. Our food came fast and it was exceptional! We have been driving by this place for years and never stopped. But now we are excited to have a new breakfast spot and can’t wait to try lunch and dinner- we were told the fish and chips is the best!!”

“Amie is so incredibly talented, has amazing customer service, and all around has a wonderful work ethic. I called her last minute in a panic because none of my other bakeries could work with me and my time frame, but Amie did! I had a bookclub meeting and was trying to find a specific type of dessert that no one else offered me, she talked me through the differences and similarities between everything on her list and I continued on with my order from her. I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Cookies. They were one of the most DELICIOUS cookies I have ever personally tried. She’s the only baker I call now. She’s always such a pleasant and bubbly person to talk to! If you’re considering ordering from Amie, just do it. You won’t regret it.”

“would recommend if the owner wasn't hateful towards queer people. Foods great, staff is great, but the owner felt the need to harass me for wearing an ankle high skirt and sitting with my friends. He kept insisting it was other people who had an issue with me just existing in his space when all I was doing was sitting there quietly drinking a drink. No one but him said a word about it. His wife came up trying to apologize but sat there and tried to call it "my life style choices". no one chooses to be. I didn't choose to be anything other than myself and I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone because they hate people like me. Owner claims I'm welcome only after people left because of what he said to me. He clearly doesn't realize gender expression and gender identity is a protected class here in Michigan. I was born with conditions that caused me to be very tall, and conditions that caused my hormones to be equal. several of my organs didn't form right and one died. I shouldn't have to explain this. I shouldn't be dehumanized like the owner tried to do. Bigotry almost never stops at one thing and the owner is a bigot.”

“Went on a busy Tigers opener and had to park on the street, parking lot was full. Nice drink specials and wait staff got to us fast considering how crowded it was. Ordered an Italian calzone and a Philly Cheese Steak calzone and they were delicious. Had we knew how big they were we would have ordered one and split it, but we have lunch for tomorrow. “This restaurant is a cool, coastal stop vibe that you should definitely check out at least once. The service is fantastic. The staff are so kind and treat you with respect and honest care. The atmosphere is great for all ages. They have a bar, a little secret museum with all things Snoopy, and nice outside areas. Pictures and decorations cover the walls. The prices are decent. The food is about average and has a lot of potential. Definitely something you should check out.”

You guys have one person always working. What happens if they can not use the restroom?? What happens if someone comes in and threatens the employee? Where is the manager? Why can the manager not staff this location properly? That is their job. Why is the manager not working and covering shifts? I am very disappointed in whoever manages this location. The employee working does a wonderful job and deserves the help to be fully staffed and a functional location.”
