“We we're going down Jefferson and we saw the sign so we decided to pull in.
As you walk in Zefs it gives you a good vibe. We made our way to the host station, found out they have an upstairs. The upstairs does have a limited menu so we wanted to try the full menu, considering it was our first time there. They sat us next to the big garage doors with lots of windows. So it was nice you could see out to the water and look at all the boats. We ordered mixed drinks. She got a sun kiss something. An I got a peach drink, both were really good. Then we ordered the pretzel bites which were delicious, had a Blanco cheese sauce. Yummy not to spicy good texture. Then we ordered something we try everywhere, French onion soup. It was good but, it was really heavily seasoned. For me to much. It was nice that they were not rushing us and they were very attentive. So we ordered our entree's next. I had a hamburger which was good. Nothing special to be honest. Was juicy good flavor had Gouda and bacon. My wife ordered the surf and turf. Was a 12 oz sirloin with lobster pieces and shrimp. Said market price on that. Her steak was cooked perfectly, so was the shrimp. There were like crumbles of lobster between the shrimp and steak. And 4 pieces of shrimp. She liked it. Although she liked it. Considering it was $68 she said it wasn't worth. She'd rather get the lobster and steak from longhorn for $40. But all said and done everything was really good and we enjoyed it. Well definitely go back.”

“What a lovely and beautifully decorated restaurant, on the water, in St. Clair Shores, MI. We loved the variety of meals available and each of them were wonderfully prepared! Also, Laura, the restaurant manager, made sure that our dining experience exceeded our utmost expectations! We will certainly come back again!”

“Mediocre food at a hefty price. The filet I ordered was undercooked and due to being full from the clam chowder soup and bread, I didn't know until after I took it home. I fed the majority of it to my dog. The feedback I received from the owner was, "I bet the dog didn't complain." Suggestions: Train staff to have customers cut into their steak to make sure the temperature is accurate and cooked accordingly. (I regrettably should have done so anyways while I dined in) The owner definitely doesn't care about returning customers, but I will make sure to leave this review on multiple sites simply for the fact of how it was addressed with rude sarcasm. That in itself was more upsetting than the issue on hand. The owner is a bully and insults anyone who has a bad experience. I'll be contacting corporate to let them know after reading other reviews and experiences.”

“month later and I'm just getting around to writing this review. That should tell you how memorable the experience was. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday. We picked from one of the choices of limited menus for our large group. We were seated in the most beautiful location. Service was perfection my family is still talking about how good the food was. I will definitely be revisiting.”

“Ive had some tacos before, but Never an Arepa. food is delicious. I got one Chicken Arepa, one bowl, and Definelty was worth popping in after seeing on Chow Down Detroit reviewed. They were out of beef, but definitely gonna pop on here and there. They also have a nice food truck for bars or events looking for vendors or food trucks. definitely one worth trying if you see the truck 💯 Juicy, flavorful and definetly filling with just 1.”

“Had lunch her for the first time today. We got the pulled pork, brisket and fries. Fries were crisp and seasoned to perfection. Pulled pork was tender — and there wasn’t a bit of fat to be seen. The brisket hands down was the star though. The most tender and juicy I have ever had. We lived in the south for years and this is by far and away the best bbq we’ve had. Their barbecue sauce is equally as delicious, I wish I’d ordered an extra! We will be back soon.”

“We used Papelon’s Food Truck for our Quinceanera Event with 70-80 guests. We avoided having to setup food in the venue. Even with so many hungry guest the food was made to order (Arepas, Cachapas and Tequenios) without a long wait. We had all the option of fillings on the menu!!! During peak the pagers were helpful so the guest could enjoy the party inside until the order was ready. It’s a plus if it gets a little chilly outside. At the end there was no leftover since our guest (mostly teenagers) could not stop eating. Non of the food went to waste which is amazing and showed everyone just loved the food! Service was impeccable by the friendly staff who stayed until no-one was hungry! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! P.s. Always good to try the food when popping up at the breweries in the area or at their food market in St Clair Shores!!! My personal favorites are Arepa Papelon e Arepa Reina Pepiada!”

“We were supposed to be trying a different restaurant that was recommended by a friend. On the way, we passed Palmers Inn but kept going to our other restaurant. When we pulled into the tiny, full parking lot my husband pulled right out. We decided to try Palmers Inn and we are SO happy we did!!! Vicki was our server and she was like a long lost friend from the moment we sat down. Our food came fast and it was exceptional! We have been driving by this place for years and never stopped. But now we are excited to have a new breakfast spot and can’t wait to try lunch and dinner- we were told the fish and chips is the best!!”

I had my daughters 1st birthday in their banquet room yesterday and I’m over the moon happy with how it turned out! The staff was super helpful and always around when I needed anything. The food was great, my guests raved about the pizza and spinach dip. I would book events here in the future without a doubt. First time ordering, snagged a few things.

Large cheese pizza, crust had a good chew, it was crispy, cheese was cooked beautifully, good pie. I did add my own red pepper flakes.

That Italian sub, damn. Two hands when you pass this one out. Quality thin sliced cold cuts, cheese, lettuce, shaved onions & a delicious Italian dressing. (I would recommend this submarine) Great Job guys.

What order is complete without breadsticks & some house made ranch.

I could definitely picture myself ordering from here again and trying even more of what their menu has to offer. Chicken Marsala, tortellini, pepperoni pizza.

“Had an amazing experience at Sahara Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere.

Highly recommend the grilled dishes, fresh bread, and appetizers — everything tasted authentic and delicious. Great portions, great prices, and excellent customer service. Definitely one of the best spots in town. Will be coming back again soon!”

“would recommend if the owner wasn't hateful towards queer people. Foods great, staff is great, but the owner felt the need to harass me for wearing an ankle high skirt and sitting with my friends. He kept insisting it was other people who had an issue with me just existing in his space when all I was doing was sitting there quietly drinking a drink. No one but him said a word about it. His wife came up trying to apologize but sat there and tried to call it "my life style choices". no one chooses to be. I didn't choose to be anything other than myself and I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone because they hate people like me. Owner claims I'm welcome only after people left because of what he said to me. He clearly doesn't realize gender expression and gender identity is a protected class here in Michigan. I was born with conditions that caused me to be very tall, and conditions that caused my hormones to be equal. several of my organs didn't form right and one died. I shouldn't have to explain this. I shouldn't be dehumanized like the owner tried to do. Bigotry almost never stops at one thing and the owner is a bigot.”
