“month later and I'm just getting around to writing this review. That should tell you how memorable the experience was. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday. We picked from one of the choices of limited menus for our large group. We were seated in the most beautiful location. Service was perfection my family is still talking about how good the food was. They were out of beef, but definitely gonna pop on here and there. They also have a nice food truck for bars or events looking for vendors or food trucks. definitely one worth trying if you see the truck 💯 Juicy, flavorful and definetly filling with just 1.”

“We used Papelon’s Food Truck for our Quinceanera Event with 70-80 guests. We avoided having to setup food in the venue. Even with so many hungry guest the food was made to order (Arepas, Cachapas and Tequenios) without a long wait. We had all the option of fillings on the menu!!! During peak the pagers were helpful so the guest could enjoy the party inside until the order was ready. It’s a plus if it gets a little chilly outside. At the end there was no leftover since our guest (mostly teenagers) could not stop eating. Non of the food went to waste which is amazing and showed everyone just loved the food! Service was impeccable by the friendly staff who stayed until no-one was hungry! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! P.s. Always good to try the food when popping up at the breweries in the area or at their food market in St Clair Shores!!! My personal favorites are Arepa Papelon e Arepa Reina Pepiada!”

“The best cookies and cinnamon roll in Metro Detroit. The cinnamon rolls are huge, made fresh and served warm on the weekends. They are always a big hit at my Open Houses! Highly recommend both, and I look forward to trying the ice cream cookie sandwich. it looks amazing, you can customize your sandwich by choosing your choice of cookies and ice cream flavors.”

“We were supposed to be trying a different restaurant that was recommended by a friend. On the way, we passed Palmers Inn but kept going to our other restaurant. When we pulled into the tiny, full parking lot my husband pulled right out. We decided to try Palmers Inn and we are SO happy we did!!! Vicki was our server and she was like a long lost friend from the moment we sat down. Our food came fast and it was exceptional! We have been driving by this place for years and never stopped. But now we are excited to have a new breakfast spot and can’t wait to try lunch and dinner- we were told the fish and chips is the best!!”

“I moved to SCS 5 months ago and have never been here before. My family and I have tried carryout from several restaurants and we always end up with Gilbert’s. Great food, service & prices. I had my daughters 1st birthday in their banquet room yesterday and I’m over the moon happy with how it turned out! The staff was super helpful and always around when I needed anything. The food was great, my guests raved about the pizza and spinach dip. I would book events here in the future without a doubt. Look no further for a great American cuisine menu and staff that makes you feel like family!”

Pro: fresh hamburger that I have had in a long time Friendly service Quick to help and take my order Con: They had no other beverages choice but water , fingers crossed they plan to have other options in the future if you are apple pay user like me I think it nice of them to suggest the gas station next door but weirdly gas station does not accept apple pay So I had nothing to drink 🙁 Overall I would rate them a 9/ 10”

“We can never say anything bad about this restaurant. My husband who is a picky eater will gladly Drive the distance to get a Reuben and of course I love the deep fried cauliflower. They are friendly very helpful I also am glad there are some really good delis but you got to drive if you don't live in the shores. It's clean very clean the most important thing and there are some restaurants I Won't Go Back but this one I will back and back and back”

“Been coming here for 35 years since I was a little kid. Consistency is key, that’s what you get here. Just recently started coming in way more often the morning staff is the best all the Ladies are amazing. Amy, Ashley, Daisy, Courtney and anyone else I’m forgetting are great and remembering how you like things and the cooks are on the same level. It’s the breakfast version of cheers. Always good people in eating too.”

The atmosphere is great for all ages. They have a bar, a little secret museum with all things Snoopy, and nice outside areas. Pictures and decorations cover the walls. The prices are decent. The food is about average and has a lot of potential. Definitely something you should check out.”

“would recommend if the owner wasn't hateful towards queer people. Foods great, staff is great, but the owner felt the need to harass me for wearing an ankle high skirt and sitting with my friends. He kept insisting it was other people who had an issue with me just existing in his space when all I was doing was sitting there quietly drinking a drink. No one but him said a word about it. His wife came up trying to apologize but sat there and tried to call it "my life style choices". no one chooses to be. I didn't choose to be anything other than myself and I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone because they hate people like me. Owner claims I'm welcome only after people left because of what he said to me. He clearly doesn't realize gender expression and gender identity is a protected class here in Michigan. I was born with conditions that caused me to be very tall, and conditions that caused my hormones to be equal. several of my organs didn't form right and one died. I shouldn't have to explain this. I shouldn't be dehumanized like the owner tried to do. Bigotry almost never stops at one thing and the owner is a bigot.”
