“Ever since moving to Michigan, I’ve wanted to try Isla because it’s one of the few fully Filipino restaurants. I took my friends (not Filipino) and we enjoyed it so much! FOOD: The calamansi juice was so well made and refreshing. I had pork adobo (because you can’t go wrong with adobo) and they had lechon kawali + dinuguan sauce. The pork adobo was SO tender and just had the right flavors. The lechon kawali was so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We also shared a Halo-Halo dine-in, which my friends had never had. They elevate the halo-halo from traditional by taken the coconut water from the fresh coconut and freezing it to turn into the shaved ice for the halo-halo. So you can literally taste the coconut in the ice too. I don’t like artificial coconut very much but LOVE fresh so this was absolutely amazing. I got a tropical ube cake and Sans Rival to-go and took bites as soon as I got home… absolutely delectable!! EXPERIENCE: The restaurant space and seating is limited, so it doesn’t feel super chaotic like it feels at some larger/chain restaurants. The owners (JP & Jacqueline) are the only ones working during weekdays and sometimes have 2 teenagers helping during the weekend. Kuya JP and Ate Jacqueline were SO accommodating and attentive even though it’s only the two of them cooking/serving in the restaurant. They’re super kind and care about your eating experience. Overall, such a positive experience and it felt so much like home! If I could give more starts, I would. Definitely recommend trying!!”

“I'm a pretty picky customer and tend to nitpick, admittedly. However, I've been coming here for about 2 yrs now and NOT ONCE did I have anything to complain about except for the fact that they're not open 24/7 lol! The best sushi & sashimi in the country! It's always so fresh and the presentation is beautiful! Their meso & clear soup is superb and their housemade salad dressing is delicious! The hibachi is delicious & very entertaining and interactive. The atmosphere is always great. The service is wonderful and hospitable. The General Manager is exceptional and he has built an exceptional team. I won't go anywhere else when I'm craving Japanese cuisine!”

“We just had the best service here! And great coffee, tea, and treats! We had went on a walk and decided to treat ourselves to a coffee. After our order was ready and we went pay we found that I lost my license and id along our walk. OYE! They were so kind and patient with us with our frantic responses. They had us take our order anyway and said that they 'trust us'. Luckily, we found my id and card and went back and paid. They were still super nice when I went back in. We will be back and tell everyone else they should go as well!! You just don't have that small town feel anywhere else around here.”

Saw the positive reviews and walked over to order dinner to go eat back in my room. So many options I wanted to try - I went with the D-Jay (drunken noodles and chicken shawarma) spice of mild plus. As I was waiting for my meal to be prepared I talked with the owner (wife) Natalie who is so friendly with her service. I told her I will have to come back tomorrow to order another dish it all looked so good! When she handed me my to go order (one meal) I could not believe how heavy the bag was, felt like a lot of food! It was so delicious, a nice heat level, so much flavor and huge portion. I went back for lunch the next day AND ordered another meal for dinner. This time was husband owner “Papi” who I met and I ordered his signature dish of Pineapple fried rice with shrimp kabob and also a shrimp pad Thai. Again, generous portions of tasty fresh food spiced as I liked it mild plus. I ate lunch in the restaurant and took the rest back home for dinner. Food is A + I want to try more dishes next time I am in town. The shrimp very flavorful can taste the high quality ingredients in all dishes I enjoyed. The food is prepared with love and pride. Such kind warm people here this is the kind of family business I want to return to and see thrive. Restaurant is very clean. Such a great place!!”

They still call the numbers with the rhymes at this location. Tim. The manager was great too. “12-30-2023 @ 11:50am I purchased two sausage egg McMuffins in which when I bit into the sandwich I noticed that there were small egg shell chips left within the egg. I would have took it back but I live 8 miles from the restaurant. I called the restaurant and the manager was very polite and courteous and asked that I come back and bring the receipt and they will make them fresh in which I did and I was able to thank her for her generosity.”

“The food was delightful. I had the moist brisket and cheesy potatoes. The brisket was actually moist! Nothing worse than a dry brisket and no flavor. The staff was super friendly and explained how everything worked. We sat down to eat and even brought us fries for the table that we didn't order because they made extra. When we walked in they gave us a sample of their fresh baked brownie!! Highly recommended! BBQ sauces were very good also, I settled on the smokey.We also recently got their catering from this store.First, they delivered it over an hour and 20 minutes away. The young man who delivered it was super friendly and nice! The food was HOT! He set up our trays of brisket, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, Mac and cheese and sliders/corn bread.They also sent a card for our anniversary celebration!You have forever gained a customer❤️”

When I was considering who to go through for our wedding cake, Mannino's was the obvious choice! I don't have very many photos since we are still waiting to get them back from the photographer. We ordered a small, 1-tier cake just for my husband and I to eat, and 170 cannoli for the rest of our wedding guests. We had half with chocolate chips, and half with nuts. They were a big hit and all of our Italian family members loved them! “I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. The food is always delicious. They have the best corned beef around! So very tasty and also lean. Perfection! Oh! And the French Onion soup is amazing as well! The waitresses are always kind and efficient. I've tried many things on the menu over the years and I've never been disappointed. Thankfully they've kept their prices reasonable, as well. It's got a clean and cozy atmosphere and is well kept. “I was hungry after a doctors appointment and also needed sauerkraut and rye bread for reubens.It's a small Polish bakery and bistro adjacent to Srodeks. They also carry small amounts of groceries that are priced very reasonably, similar to what you would pay at the larger shops in Hamtramck and Polish Market.I love their hot pork sandwich. Pork pounded flat, lightly breaded and topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle and some sort of spicy sauce. I thought it tasted a bit salty during this visit.They also have excellent rye bread that is imported from Canada twice a week, so call ahead to plan your visit.”

A restaurant with a large menu can be intimidating and Wendy has literally never given a bad recommendation on what to get. She is the absolute best and am so glad every time we come in when she’s working!”

“I stopped at this portillos off the expressway on our way home from a road trip. All of the floors (restaurant and bathroom) were very clean. The employees were all pleasant and positive. They still call the numbers with the rhymes at this location. Tim. The manager was great too. He helped the staff in many areas and also retrieved my forgotten handbag when I left without it and called ten minutes later.”

My server’s name was Kristen and she was an absolute delight - very attentive, quick, helpful when I wasn’t sure what to get, and on top of all that, she anticipated whatever my table needed. Her recommendations of the ribeye with the rice and mushrooms were delicious. The bread and butter were so good, I’m sure I’ll be back for that alone! Everyone there is so sweet and polite, but Kristen and Madison deserve honorable mentions as they were both wonderful. I hope to be back soon and try more of the food, drinks, and desserts!”

“I've eaten at Shake Shack about 7x now. This was my first time at this particular location. My last time was in Rochester for the Xmas tree lighting. Service was good, and food was freshly cooked. Overall, I give it a 4. A 4 but not a 5 is because of the prices. Plus, the Burgers are very, very AVERAGE. One thing that I love about Shake Shack is that i dont get that McDonald's, Burger King, Wendys, etc, bloat afterward. I guess it's better beef. Better fries and frying oil. You feel better leaving. Kinda like Chick-Fil-A. For me, and my family, I spent $71.⁰⁰ and that's including a 3.⁰⁰ tip. Hey, I gotta tip something! But for such a small burger, it's not worth the price. Shakes are small, too. Fries are good but not worth the price for a little tray of fries. This is a place you go to twice a year. I could've gone to Texas Roadhouse for $71.⁰⁰ Won't be back anytime soon.”

“Went to a brand new Indian restaurant tonight called masala junction. I met the owner Nitin Pradhan and his wife and there team. We had appetizers and dinner. Everything was excellent. They have veg and non veg items. It’s at 15 mile road and mound road in the plaza with the ups store. I highly suggest you check it out. We had a great experience”
