“My husband and I stopped in this morning for breakfast and had a Great meal and amazing customer service. The dining room was close to full, the wait staff were running non stop, the kitchen staff were handing orders out the one right after the other. The staff maintain continued with smiles on their faces and made sure each customer was treated kindly. The food was the best . In a time when restaurants our struggling to keep staff and the level of professionalism is out the window, we so appreciated Brenda's employees. “Fantastic breakfast. They have the only omelets I'll eat and I've never had homefries as good as theirs. Their lunch options for a vegetarian are okay (hummus is average and there's a below average greek salad for the price). My husband loves their middle eastern combo platter. “This is a very small old style diner where the cook and griddle are in the dining area where you can see them cooking your food. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated due to the busy lunch crowd. However, we had a very short wait for our food to be served after ordering. Portions were large. The baked steak and turkey & dressing were very tasty! I would not suggest this place if you are in a hurry during the prime breakfast and lunch hours! But if you have the time, the food is worth the wait! They also have quite a few pie choices if you still have room for desert.“

The portions were large, and something that seems rare these days, the prices were under $20 for superior entrees. However there was a shrieking kid behind us and I wasn't aware that children were allowed in the bar. The evening would have been more pleasant without him. Parking can be a little tricky just because you need to find a spot on street with meter parking or you can lot park if you prefer. I have never had to park far though.I wish they were open on Saturdays, the business hours from 11-3p during week make it hard for me to get there more often. The only time I make it out there is when I have a day off during the week.“

“I love Coopers Hawk! My girlfriends and I go there probably 3-4 times a month. We have always had great food and service. Lately we have been sitting at the bar and let’s just say the service is not what you get at a table. Took 3 hrs for them to remove dirty dishes from the people that sat there before us. We had to move it out of our way so they could serve us. But the bartender didn’t take the dirty plates, even after bring us out new food!The manager came behind the bar smiled and walked right past the dirty plates pile as well ?. I have bartended and served the majority of my life and I couldn’t believe it. We have been back since then and it seems like the bartender’s are torn between getting server drink orders and taking care of the guests sitting at the bar. 2 bartenders taking care of the servers orders and we had to keep flagging someone down to get a drink and food, silverware. I am hopeful new training or procedures for the bar area will fix this one issue. Otherwise I love this place!“

I was between the cinnamon brown sugar French toast/pancakes and the apple pie pancakes/French toast, so when I asked if they can combine both, Molly was super sweet and accommodated me. It was absolutely the best French toast we ever had!! So much so my husband and I shared it and I ordered a ham and cheese omelette (which was delish as well). My husband got Jimmy’s omelette, which he loved. We both loved our meals so much that we literally came back the next day for the same thing. We also got the homemade cinnamon marshmallows yesterday and roasted them over the campfire, absolutely delish!!! This is definitely our go to spot when we come back. If you visit this restaurant, I really feel you will not be disappointed. We weren’t and I’m a bit picky. Lol.“

“This is a very unique restaurant. The menu is very robust I don't know what to say other than the shrimp, oh my God the shrimp. The shrimp here were better than any seafood place that I can think of. I will come back here just to get the shrimp. The restaurant itself is pretty nice however everybody is packed in there pretty good. Will be returning some day.“

“We went to Sodbusters on a Wednesday evening (7:30) to hear The Chefs of Dixieland, Ragtime Rick Grafing's band. We expected it to be good music, but it was more. It was an experience, not a performance. We were totally immersed. We felt absolutely transported into another era. At one point, the trombonist sauntered through the cafe as he played ---so fun. We only had drinks, and the prices were very reasonable. We had the feeling that a lot of the people there were regulars. We'd rather listen to live local music than go to a big concert. My gf had the special.. build your own burger with bacon cheddar and pepper Jack.. It was slightly over cooked (asked for medium) but it was still juicy.. Tator tots were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! Service was excellent.. Cathy was a friendly prompt server with great follow up throughout our time there. Jukebox music playing and big screen tv’s around the room. We sat At a booth.. each booth also has their own small tv. Nice place to have a bite to eat and it’s prices aren’t bad. “It has been awhile since I've been to a waffle house, about a year, and almost 2 years for this location. The eggs and hash browns were great. But the waffles have changed. They are the same diameter, but only half as thick. They have small indents (instead of the large ones). They are not crispy (almost like a pancake).I drove about an hour and a half to come here (I live north of Detroit). I will have to try a different location to see if they changed the waffle also“
